Wonderful to see scholarship triumphing over pseudo-magic(k)al merchandising in such a sharp manner. As you rightly say, a symbol does not have to be ancient to ''work'', but honesty about sources is crucial to all zones of study. Very best wishes for a full and swift recovery. M.D.P.

What a coincidence. In your northmen video I asked you about runes from Elden Ring and as if destiny heard my call, here is a rune from the game. A person, who is trying to hold the status quo of the golden order with all his might, uses this symbol to deny entrance to the core of the erdtree, the manifestation of the golden order, thinking, his believes are based in archaic times of origin, while they are a creation of the 'golden order fundamentalist', who lost touch to the origins of their believes while they are unbeknownst of this. Wish you the best, Arith, you will recover from this stronger than ever! ;)

My family and I have been struggling with Long Covid for almist three yesrs now and the way it works through in other (health) issues and humbug reactions from morons underestimating such a havoc wreacking virus. All I can say is: hang on, don't force yourself. That will backfire. I do hope your body (and mind for that matter) will stop overreacting. Storms will calm down eventually. Save your energy, establish your priorities and heal with time. Rest and figuring out what deserves your energy are the only things you can try to manage. @@ArithHärger I know how it is, there are times in our lives where so much of what we like ends up getting lost in the middle of work and studies.
I have an idea that might help you. How about turning video games into work? Elden Ring has a very large fan base that is very dedicated to understanding the mysteries of the lore.
Games in the Souls franchise are famous for having complicated stories. Often the details of an item, the position of a statue or even a symbol of a character can say a lot. Elden Ring seems to have a lot of influence from Nordic culture and a lot of people only know something about it from movies and pop culture. If you make videos about the real origin and meaning of several of these symbols, you will definitely get a lot of views.
Even if you don't have time to play Elden Ring, after all it has more than 200h of content, you can look things up on the wikia or dedicated channels like Tarnished Archeologist, Smoughtown or Vaatividya to give you an idea about what are the symbols and the influence of the nordic culture that people take out of context or simple dont know the meaning at all.

"It represents the building blocks of the universe itself" - Stephan Grundy in his work "Teutonic Magic" thinks the same way of rune Hagalaz. He stated that it's essentially a blueprint of the molecules in the Norse universe, a seed that has fallen from the sky, that which holds the world together and can be potentially devastating (like hail storm). Goes hand in hand with the Norse creation myth where the world had formed out of the ice. So in the same way, a hail stone is an "unliving" seed that nevertheless bears within a great amount of magical energy for creating life.

To me, the Web of Wyrd is an aesthetically rustic form of the Flower of Life. Indeed, if drawn slowly and meditatively with 60 degree angles it has the same affect of balance, symmetry, and infinite expansion. I like Arith's take, as usual, that we are creative beings so why not be creative and contemplative.

I first noted it used in the Rune Gild. Before then it didn't exist as far as I'm aware. The idea is an extension of the hagal rune in it's sixfold stave enclosed in a hexagon. From this all the armanan runes can be seen. This was shown idea was made prominent in edred thorsson book Futhark under the commentary on Hagalaz. Nigel pennick extended it to copies of the same design whilst the rune Gild developed it as seen in the video. Others then based their runic ideas on top of this outside the Gild. Rune postures using this, like all rune posture ideas originate in the 20th century German rune magicians.

I do highly like and appreciate many of your presentations and have enjoyed viewiing them over the years, so thank you for your ongoing presentations.
However not all knowledge is academic and trying to academically debunk lineages of practical knowledge you do not have direct experience with can come across as arrogant.
There are many genuine lineages of knowledge and wisdom practices which have been preserved and handed down via generations retained within families and tribal cultures that have not been nailed down as academic. What you are describing is a symbolic depiction of the Orlog . The symbol represents the infinite 'web' of life and you can see clear parralels to it via other sacred geometric forms such as the 'flower of life'. All the runes of the younger and elder futhark are derived from this orlog.
Each rune has a definitive phonetic resonance and hence can be 'called' out and 'drawn' out from the Orlog yet they are all intrinsically interconnected with it (crystalising into defined individuated forms via the underlying infinite creative waveform).
I would argue failure to see this interconnectedness of the runes is failure to understand the archetypical qualitative phonetic nature of the runes.
