Laslow: Selena? Is that you? Selena: Who else, genius? Laslow: Yep, you're definitely the real Selena. What are you doing here? Iago told us that you, Beruka, and Lady Camilla had failed your mission. I’m relieved to see you’re okay, but I’m less relieved to see you fighting against us. Turning your blade on Lord Xander is one thing, but attacking me, one of your most cherished friends? What’s gotten into you? Selena: Gods, Laslow, you really are thick sometimes. I haven’t betrayed anyone. Lady Camilla joined up with Lady Corrin’s army, and Beruka and I are fulfilling our duties to protect her. Laslow: But if Lady Camilla has turned her cloak against us, doesn’t that mean you’re betraying Nohr by following her orders and siding with the Hoshidans? Selena: Let me spell it out for you as best I can. Lady Corrin is privy to some information she can’t share with us yet, and Lady Camilla has chosen to follow her because she believes it's what's best for Nohr. While she can't say who it is, Lady Corrin knows the identity of the true enemy pulling the strings of this war. They were the one who commanded their soldiers to destroy Cyrkensia and make Nohr and Hoshido blame each other for the carnage. Given the way she talks about this mystery foe and considering the circumstances of how we ended up in this world, I think I’ve already figured out who it is. Laslow: Oh? And who would that be? Selena: I can’t tell you outright, but I’ll give you a hint. Can you feel the presence of those invisible soldiers over there? Feels sorta familiar, right? Laslow: What? Oh! Yes, I can sense them! I think I’m picking up what you’re putting down! Selena: Good boy. You really are smart sometimes. So, now that we’ve established that we shouldn’t be fighting each other, can you please put down that sword of yours? Laslow: Alas, darling, I can’t. Lord Xander would never believe me if I told him this tale, and I haven’t the heart to act without his consent. He needs me to fight, and so I shall fight. Just as you have sworn your blade to Lady Camilla, my duty is to protect Lord Xander and the kingdom of Nohr, in that order. I must remove anyone who bars his path, no matter who it is. I am deeply sorry for this, Selena. Out of respect for my most beloved friend, I’ll try not to cause you too much pain. Selena: *sigh* And to think I almost had you pegged as someone halfway-sensible. Ironic how you picked the worst possible time to learn about the importance of consent. If you’re so adamant about following your prince to his grave and dooming the entire world to the same fate as this town, then I won’t waste my breath on words any longer. I’m going to knock you out and drag your worthless carcass over to Lady Corrin and Lady Camilla. Maybe they’ll know what to do with you. Laslow: Alright then! I’ve always wanted to test my skills against yours! En garde! Selena: Let’s get this over with. I hope your sword is sharper than your brain.
@@sensational7335it's more likely a mix of many European cultures. As an example, Xander is obviously himself based on Alexander the Great, so one could argue that there is Macedonian cultural influence as well

I can't help but feel that Laslow, Selena, and Odin should have been playable in Birthright, too. To my knowledge, they were sent to Nohr in the first place to help Corrin, correct? Also, I also associate this with non-recruited Black Eagles in Three Houses.
Misery in Hand vs Condemnation, part II: Condemnation lives up to its name, going for the kill right off the bat. Foregoing all subtlety, you know you're in trouble. It's a very energetic theme: could fit in an AA game as a pursuit theme, honestly. Extremely strong from start to finish. Final score and verdict: 8/10 Winner: Misery in Hand. Honestly, I felt like this was mostly equal, but Misery in Hand won me over with the middle. While not as energetic as this theme, Misery in Hand is my (slight) personal preference.

0:21 gotta be my favorite part
This song is just so full of energy you can't help but get a little happy
Ironic ain’t it? The song called Condemnation is one of the most energetic and generally intense themes of the game.
Doesn't matter which route you playing, Flora is the first thing that comes to my mind when hearing this
Fighting Odin after marrying Lissa in Awakening mentally pains me

Such a lovely music, I first listened to it when I was 16 years old in 2020.

One of my favorite Soundtracks
This soundtrack makes me feel like I'm fighting against Scotland or Ireland! 🤣☺️ Very hype.
I mean Xander's sword is named seigfried after the knight of German folklore so I think its possible that nohr is based off of german/norse folklore

This plays:
Birthright chapter 7, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18 and 23
Conquest chapter 8 and 13
Revelation chapter 12 and 14
I feel this should've also played in the respective paralogues of Percy and Nina, when you fight them.
