This illuminates why I argue it’s likely SpaceX will ultimately decide to go with landing legs anyway. Landing legs can be optimally designed to be lightweight to add only a small amount to the dry mass. Then it won’t be worth risking a launch tower worth hundreds of millions of dollars for such a small loss in payload. Also it’s mentioned there wasn’t the expected amount of pressure in the Raptor. This could have been due to a fuel leak. Fuel leaks and the resulting fires have been a recurring problem with the Raptor. Then the giant plume of flame seen shooting up the side of the booster may in fact have been due to this fuel leak. Additionally, its mentioned one of the chine covers blew off exposing valves that are sources of single point failure if they had been damaged. Notably the video shows the cover blew off *before* the engine restart began. It was speculated it was due to atmospheric forces, but it may have been due to a fire within the engine compartment releasing pressurized gas.
That is an example of why they need a separate landing/catch pad, spaced far enough apart to prevent damage to launch pad, in event of landing/catch mishaps. Will speed future launches up too!
Don't understand why there isn't several designated landing towers away from the launch site, less risk to infrastructure if catching the booster goes wrong. No delays with future launches
I'll go with the one catch is lucky, two catches equals data. Keep going. when you catch Starship it will become a regular part of the program.. but I've been talking about those flap seams since Starship was built.
Those aren't chines, chines are a section of a hull thats flat in one dimensiion and usually curved in the other, except when barged, which is a straight section in a hull. Those four "thingies" up the sides of the booster are more akin to strakes, and have two chines each, that make up their triangular cross section. Chines are pronounced like Chinese, not like Cheenes... Some Space Sailors you guys will make! Dont know Chines from Strakes!
At 1:15 you have 100% proof this is a robot voice when it pronounced "lmaooo" as it is spelled and didn't say "laughing my a$$ off." Robots haven't been able to say what an acronym is and just say it like it is spelled.
Agreed. Some words like "delve" give it away. They are made to keep viewers watching as many minutes as possible. RUclips quality has gone down, though there are still great channels.
Catching a booster that close to the tank farm is just plane stupid. SpaceX needs to hire workers and engineers from the petrochemical industry. They would have never built a tank farm that close to fire.
"We have a plan to address that..." Notice how real engineers are doing work while Musk plays video games. Anybody who believes Musk is critical to the starship program outside of being an endless bag of money needs to get their head checked out.
The problem would only manifest had the booster catching been aborted, i.e. the booster would crash into the ground close to the OLM base. Not the problem with the catching itself.

Great video 👍
I like how the "one second away from disaster" is not click bait, but rather a quote from an employee
Thanks great video 👍👍
Thanks for your comment. Keep following and discussing on our channel ☺️
Bill Nelson is a good Democrat spreading their talking points like in a barn yard!
it's CHINE! not SHEEN! lmao
Excellent stuff bro, go Elon

Could have, would have...but didn't. Still in development, no failure. Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades 🤔
One of the crew members of Crew 8 is a cosmonaut and will not be returning to Johnson Space flight center. He should have already returned to Russia.

Ready, go 😊
Ready!
have you seen debris from capsule damage one of the drogue chute
Wow, I did not notice that. Can you tell more about this☺️
Ready; go🚀
He can talk to anyone he needs to free country right
security implications, he could lose contracts.
You realize that send Russian cosmonauts into space and vice verse?!
It's called business!!
ready go!
So the group of people who require head shrinks and antidepressants to survive in the real world think talking to people is a bad idea♿️

It also got "chine" wrong...
Fed up with these AI channels that are written and read by AI.

must talking with putin is as true as irak WMDs
Wrong decade and administration. Try again.
True. When the mainstream media says "reliable sources", they are lying out of their filthy mouths.
Rockets are always a second away from exploding. So many things have to go just right or you have a RUD.

An abort would cause more damage than going ahead with it.
Ready. Go! 😂🚀😆
Go go go
Ready go!
Oki
Why does he keep saying "arm" instead of "arms"? Does he not realize mechazilla has 2 arms?
Ready go
Why don’t the just launch something already
Ben Nelson knows he just about ready to be fired!
Well, we do send up Russian astronauts into space. So....

Musk has 80% voting control. He seems critical to me.
