It's amusing how people are so used to watching streams in Hindi and English. Not understanding the language is one thing but I feel it is natural when people speaking the same language come together. Even unintentionally you tend to switch to your mother tounge. And it's high time for us to acknowledge the many regional languages that India offers. You might not understand what they say but you're being introduced to something new. :)

There are wineshops in ahmedabad. People who have a liquor license or people who've come from out of town nd can show their boarding pass, they can get alcohol. Every big hotel here has a wine shop
I heard that. When my relatives came from abroad. They asked about it. Apparently, you can buy the alcohol but not consume it in public spaces like the restaurant, lobby etc. So weird!
Its been ages I don't know if anyone would read this but still this is my reasoning for the success of Tarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma. So I have watched that show for 10 years straits and also still watch it once in a while and my biggest reason to watch it was I can watch it with my parents in the room without any worry. Its a very family friendly show because of which people watch it even after knowing the stereotypes. They just go for the silly jokes and loud in cue laughter. I don't watch TMKUC when I am doing personal viewing but for family viewing its a perfect show. Once in a while me and my mom keep just sitting there and knit picking all the flaws instead of just switching off or changing the channel. Galty nikalne me bhi maza ata hai is show ka to. Best lunch and dinner time show.
Even gujarati festivals are loud. Navratri mai 40 crore speaker pe garba baj raha hai, 40,000 log dandiya khel rahe hai polo ground mai, sab mast chal raha hai
"Dodhiya" is the the ultimate variable form of Garba. Come to Surat in Navratri & see thousands & lakhs of the professional & enthusiast khelaiyas playing so many different Dodhiyas. It's different from what you see in United Way & other places, at least I haven't seen much of Dodhiyas out side of South Gujarat. It's like an energy consuming sports event, not the easiest & is a so much extra fun form of Garba.
Next Bond movie - "Thepla Never Dies" JMDLR. 56 year old "uncle" here. Had a blast watching and laugh out loud funny. Our generation grew up with all those crazy sayings like "Man maan parney, Man maan randey", and "Tari sasu kanda khaye..." There is such a vivid imagination and enthusiasm to those kinds of sayings that cut to the chase. You should learn them from the previous generation before they are gone, it's a rich cultural legacy indeed.
I agree with sahil that garba should evolve and introduce some new moves but then again if they did that people will say yeh kya hai naya gen ka garba ehh garba tho apna ta apun jo karte te voh tha asli garba

Those who know and value the power of Garba have won the National Award for the Best Feature Film in 2019. The others who find no sense in Garba, feel that its just the same step spinning round and round, feel like there's no point in it and are taking pride in stating that they have never ever done Garba, are busy doing some streams which no one gives a fuck about. Grow up kiddos.
