I find that mind boggling. You're able to tell when a child is being neglected but you need a professional to determine whether or not a certain animal was neglected. Kinda insane how the law works sometimes

Just as the plaintiff said that the horse won't gain all that weight right away, the same goes for losing all that weight. I have to wonder if the defendant fed the horse at all outside of pasture grass.

This case could have been easily solved with a vet bill/examination instead she rather have someone else get her horse and waited too late for this case

The plantiff is equally as neglectful to her horse. She didn't visit her horse, or remove it from the trainers custody in July when she noticed it was losing weight. Then she gets him back, underweight with cuts and doesn't take it to a vet???

The plantiff had money for flights and to buy a puppy that then needed surgery but was neglectful about her so called beloved horse

The problem is she should have called the police and got a report for animal abuse. Then, she should have gotten the horse properly diagnosed by a veterinarian. You need proof and paperwork to get a verdict. Photos, texts, and opinions will not.

Seems like the horse got bullied in the herd. And probably all got fed together and didn’t get what he needed when it came to hay and grain because he was bullied in the herd.

I think Judge Judy messed up in this case. The horse wasn't returned in the same condition. She deserves payment for the extra feed she has to buy to get her horse back into good shape. Dismiss the case without prejudice and tell her to take it back to the regular court so someone with knowledge can assess.
