Can get sciatica style symptoms just from really poor hip mobility so that could be the case and it’s not true sciatica you’re experiencing at all which would be from a disc injury 😄 would check out our hips playlist
I was doing this as a warmup before lifting because it felt good. Nice to know that listening to my body had merit and that is was doing me well. This feels awesome on stiff shoulders.
I’m recovering from a stroke 15y ago I was unable to walk for 2 years, it’s been a struggle to overcome depression and I let all my muscles go into atrophy. Now that I’m working out I don’t seem to make any progress and the next days pain is almost unbearable.I also have 3 dg scar tissue on the backs of my legs bc when I went down it was 105 outside and I was on the pavement for 45 minutes because I keep flatlining. I’m trying so hard but it’s depressing bc I’m not seeing any improvement. You are the first person I have reached out to bc I’m only 52 and it’s embarrassing. But I know you can lead me in the right direction. Thank you
you're doing amazing just getting back to the gym! We don't have too much advice for building muscle, but follow alongs like this will help you keep moving! ruclips.net/video/lQgy4820wiU/видео.html It is a long process, think about how many years you've been inactive, you'll need to wait months if not years to see big change. Try to have a long term mindset, focus on building the habit & the journey rather than an end result :)
non-painful clicks usually go away with practice! It can just be bits & bobs inside your shoulder moving in different ways than they're used to. Keep an eye on it, but don't worry too much if it dosn't get worse!
I started doing this one the first time I saw you do it and it took a while and helped straighten my back...then I somehow? went too far and now I have popping and pain in my shoulder joints. One chiropractor said I stretched something out too much and it pops out of the little groove it's supposed to be in. Can be quite painful as it seems to slip out occasionally if I move wrong.... and worse yet, I can't do this exercise anymore. I'm wondering if being 80+has something to do with it 🤷. I loved it while I could do it, felt really good til it didn't 😢. Any remedy for me? Thanks Tom, you are very much appreciated ❣️👍
oh no, I'm sorry to hear that! You can switch to some rotations without the resistance band for a while and see if that helps? Like this: ruclips.net/video/xUvq9R9EzZg/видео.html I'd recommend going to a physiotherapist too to have a look :)
Genuinely can’t believe all the fantastic free content you put out mate, I’ve been bodybuilding for 6 years and mobility work has fallen completely by the wayside. Your videos have been immensely useful in catching up!
That reminds me of when I grabbed the rings the other day and did a full shoulder circular motion and couldn’t believe I had the capacity to accomplish this moreover I must acquire on of those full more lateral movements to swing arms when I dunk next year
Bodybuilders are amazing and are the best at teaching mind muscle connection, self taught know it alls that think they’re bodybuilders are usually what I’m referencing 😊
All that can be done without that string just doing similar set aerobic motions just in faster repetitions with less breaks between each set be done quicker and still get the same if not more gains…. Only mentioned because this can work without the string just in case he show casing that string for sale LOL
No, the added resistance is better, and no, I don’t sell bands. Resistance bands are very cheap and last for years and are a massive benefit to anyone’s training, bodyweight only gets you so far
I like saving your videos and when I’m desperately grasping for that release of tension i look for them and I’m never able to find them and I’m left writhing around in pain 😆😆 I was looking for this specific video and it got buried so far down the list it took me 4 days to find it now I feel better
Totally recommend this! Great advice for shoulders. I have been doing similar movements without band, making sure I rotate my wrists/hands as I do the movements, whether lateral or rotations, like you demonstrate. My shoulders thanked me haha
Really though, I was in so much pain. Couldn’t sleep on my sides or even hold my guitar for long. Once I figured it out, they were fine in a week. These movements can be done every day. Good work!
I'm using these while walking & doing the types of movements you showcase. Sometimes I stop & do them. Sometimes I work out a while walking version. Walking I do within a bunch of rules too. Everyday I go out & do increasing numbers of laps around my local park. I get him exhausted. and feeling better put together! I nap, snack, and do another lap! Healing up nicely. I had a recent 4 years ago, rearending. I was hurt! Felt like my facia shattered and recombined in suboptimal configurations! Like it is learning how to reorganize!
Yeah after an injury your body always reorganises and tries to work out a new way to move and you've just got to encourage it back! Sounds like you're doing the right thing 💪💪
*Not sure if i caught the sounds correctly, but he's **#Irish**, right? Love it! Hair too! Go Ireland!* 🇮🇪 _(hope I'm not wrong, coz that'd be embarrassing)_ 🇵🇭
@@TomMorrison Noice! Knew it! 😌 Irish is my 3rd most favorite accent of them all! Is there maybe a significant difference between northern Irish vs Irish accents? Had to listen back 3 times before I caught your quirky vowels sounds. 😅
Yeah they're very different if you're local! But I can imagine from the outside they're similar. But check on RUclips a Cork accent (irish) and a Belfast accent (northern irish)!
The first movement, "bicep curls" cand do actually good to you. Do 100 reps of biceps curls and tricep pushdowns but RAPIDLY / FAST you'll see that helps strengthen the tendons and ligaments in your arm and also eliminates elbow pain.
Nice! I knew this instinctively and have been using a stretchy belt for this. Some strange rare form of belt made of some synthetic stretchy intertwined ropes.
I've dislocated my right shoulder maybe 8-9 times in the past. I could NEVER imagine doing that with bands. And you call them dislocates too. Isn't that a bad thing? As far as I know - they HURT! To this day my right shoulder is messed up because of the dislocations. I can't do pullups from the deadhang position, for example, becuase of it. Am now starting to wonder if you have ever come across someone with the same issue as me. If so, are you able to advise on a potential "fix"? Maybe a video you might have done...
Would be better with in person guidance with your history, there’s definitely easier places you can start from, just bodyweight and aiming for control first before bands and then weight 😄 try a few physiotherapists that can guide you on long term strengthening not just short term relief
😂 I can’t with your videos lol Slick and quick sense of humor catches me off guard and I have to start all over after the giggles subside. Thank you for making fitness FUN!
😅 I'm so sorry officer
And then 'come at me bro' 🤣
😂😂😂😂
I've dislocated my shoulder over 50 times since 2001. If I wipe my ass wrong it can pop out .
@@JustinKanickidid you have surgery? After the third dislocation my doctor recommended surgery. It worked wonders for me.
Great stuff 🔥
Thanks 🔥🙌

yes, it burns 😅
I’ve done this before but i can’t be consistent about it cus it’s my shoulder for the rest of the day
Maybe try it at the end of the day 😁
This dude😂 that was funny
What brand of band?
Fitbeast on Amazon have a good set for £30 roughly
How heavy a band should I get?
Just a light/thin one, no particular strength 😁

I do this between bench sets.. helps a ton with keeping your shoulders safe lol

Thanks so much!!
This routine is key before any upper body day

יכול להיות שאתה צודק שזה מגביר אבל אני חושב שזה בגביר את מתיחות השריר ולא את גודל השריר רק מחשבה כן חחח
By far best exercises for shoulders…

You will NEVER impress a girl in the club, with that!
The only thing that matters in a club (and also at the beach) ist biceps and abs!

Why’s it always the skinny guys with little to no muscle with all the knowledge?
I’m genuinely curious not hating!
Not always the case, but what makes a good teacher/coach is rarely the same as what makes a good athlete - two very different skillsets!
I’m lifting in jeans for now one!
So you repeated what a million other people have said, bravo.... It's common sense
Common sense isn’t that common, plus the reminder is always good 😊

loads of professional arm wrestlers will disagree lol some high level pullers only use bands in training and their beyond freak mutants
I love that
I love band curls, third exercise in a triple set. You FLEX your biceps against the band resistance.
Beautiful pump.
The Gallagher of gains
Wait human shoulders can move like that!? I didn’t know!
Yep! They’re the most mobile joints you have! They need big range movements 😄
I never realised the second coming was going to be as a gym instructor.
I use to do some of those movements once or twice a day, and more after working 8 hours in the office and uncoinciently I curve
Definitely good to bring them back in!
Love bands. Always learning something more about those. Great for warm up and mobility.
Dude will straighten your whole body with jokes 😂
Common sense solutions.
Whow, good advice
I do curls with a heavy band and no weighted bicep exercises and they absolutely have an effect.
