Absolutely beautiful playing. The 1st note on the piano sets the tone. Dr John O Connor, just makes a beautiful sound on the piano, no matter how the key is struck. Fantastic control yet so free. Beautiful intonation on cello. A powerful cello. It is a beautiful sonata. A great treat. I just love the performance.

Once I was considering of learning the cello but I was too small lol don’t know it didn’t fit only with child instruments so I switched to the violin instead . Anyway

A cello sonata on a Steinway label. We all know the Beethoven cello sonatas are practically piano sonatas with cello accompaniment.

The piano players taking the limelight and us poor cellists struggling. Very difficult to play that stuff on piano or cello. No room for passengers with Beethoven.
