Man thanks for the vid. I’ve had the front setup forever but stayed away from the rear setup. Crystal clear vid and awesome easy to follow instruction🏆🏆
I’m 21 years old building a off frame restoration just like yours on my 84 cutlass hurst! You helped me out a lot with this honestly if it wasn’t for your video I wouldn’t know where to start, thanks !
Words to the wise. I know this video is 3 yes old but I just had to add something. Anti seize is fine for threads and things that don't move unless being adjusted. Things that move as a normal part of the suspensions action should use grease. Antiseize isn't a particularly good lubricant and will accelerate wear.
Nice job well done dude! Do you have a parts list of the front and rear UMI gear? I'm interested in the followup videos especially when you install the floor shifter . I also have a 1981 Malibu but it's wagon. Good luck
Looks like you put rear coilovers in front. I have viking front coilovers for g body and it uses the upper spring perch. 🤷🏾♂️I could be wrong I'm no tech
@@snedenwerks the only thing different I went with the blazer spindle and 14” vette rotors and 6 piston brake. I can’t wait to get it on tho. I subscribed and looking forward to more of you videos
@@snedenwerks I called umi for the 2.5 kit for my 86 Monte Carlo SS and they said I need to ask for the factory height I’m wanting to put 24 inch rims on it and don’t know if the factory height will be high enough I want to put a 5 inch lip on the back wheels and no I probably need to do a chassis notch and fender row do you think the 24s will fit on the factory height? I was thinking the coil overs would go higher but the 2.5 Kit can only lower 2 inches correct?

Great job on all the new parts. Just wanted to ask. I noticed when you did front suspension how did you get your frame to look so smooth.
Thanks! I completely stripped it down to bare metal. Self etching primer and duplicolor low gloss black engine enamel
👌🏾
So what u think is more comfortable QA1 or this one?
Mostly street driven with a cage?
And does the frame have to be Power coded

My system is different, does not utilize the pockets. They are one unit

@@jermaineknowles87 I’ll jump back on it soon, I promise! Thank you for watching 🙏
What stage UMI kit did you use?
It’s pretty much the 2.5 kit but my rear upper links are adjustable and I also have their frame braces
Same set up I went with
Nice! It’s some pretty trick stuff. Have you driven on it yet? Do you like it?
@@snedenwerks no if you look at my videos lol I just got the frame back from Powdercoat. It’s all just sitting in boxes lol
