- This 69 Chevelle is more of a Family member then it is a Muscle Car.
The owner rode home from the dealership with his father in 1969 and grew up taking care of the car.
After he and his son rebuilt the original 396 they contacted me to solve a couple problems and update the Brakes and Suspension. - Авто/Мото
69 was the best Chevelle
I love Lucky's builds. He's so chill and yet does such a good job. And that shop truck, one of the coolest C-10s around! Got to say, though. I'm missing the Chevelle... There's a special place in my heart for that thing.
Smokey burnouts always puts a smile on my face!
Gratuitous tyre smoke. Good for the soul
Love the detail lucky goes into. Hope this channel takes off for him
Great details! 🤩
Great episode, glad your back … shout out to John … I enjoy his articles in HRM every month!😎
Can you imagine if you had a tire sponsor how much smoke you would create! Sponsor or not, don't stop! And you gotta love the aftermarket and the parts to make classic cars handle like new cars!
Those control arms are a work of art! Cool Chevelle.
I spent my 20s as a an ASE certified brake specialist. This was in the 80s. A late 60s brake build was very simple.
Who said Christmas comes only once a year, unboxing all those goodies reminds me of Christmas, just tear into all those boxes. Good work on the upgrade.
I recognize that chuckle behind the camera.... John McGann! LOL Great Chevelle with awesome mods. Nice work, Lucky!
Man nice 1 owner chevelle you don't see that too often anymore 👍
It’s good to see you back in the shop and feeling better!
really like this car and build; very cool. Not cool-burnouts in the garage. Just incredibly sophomoric
Also, polyurethane is an absolutely terrible material for a bushing-those rear control arms should have some delrin ones installed.
One of the funnier unboxing’s I’ve seen. Great to se you back Lucky!!
I had a 69 Chevelle too and I can confirm that it's factory original because the original Chevelle; BB or SB, didn't matter was almost always almost out of gas. Partly because of the gas tank filler location I'm sure 🤣
Glad your back and healthy. Really nice Chevell. The upgrades your doing are great. No butchering all bolt to keep it original looking.
The right man for the job on that sweet ride.
Lookin good lucky
Thanks!
Great to see you well - looking more yourself. As always, I really enjoy your content Lucky. One comment on the new opening: add some patina to that red square - seems to shiny 😉
Good to have you back for good, Lucky!
Daymn, that car is clean; even better, now that it's been Luckified!
Just bought new coils for my 68 gto. Now you have me wishing i had done this.🙄😂
Love this, great stuff.
Such a cool car!👍
We all love you lucky! Thanks for the shop updates, love that chevelle
Glad your back .
I have a 69 Chevelle I've had for 40 years
Good to see you back and healthy :)
I like the direction this project is going. Some cars should stay stock appearing for historic reference.
NICE to see you in a good mood - glad for you :)
Great to see you back brother!!!
need to find a guy like Lucky in the chicagoland area to work on mine with the attention to detail and care that he does. absolutely top guy.

I like that intro, glad to see you are feeling better. I always enjoy your content stay safe brother.
nice upgrades
Welcome back lucky. You sound alot healthier from the covid thing. Glad your back.
Beautiful Chevelle. This is what I wanted before I saw my 66 for sale, and couldn't turn it down. I still want a 68-9. Before I do that I will be upgrading my 66 with new discs and suspension, and engine. I recently blew the head gasket on the original rebuilt 327. I haven't decided what engine yet because I have a Rock Crusher 21 in there and if it can handle 450hp that'll stay, if not I may go to a big big block and replaced the entire drive train. Btw, I saw the show where you upgraded your 66 with the supercharger!! Insane! You must have $30K just in the engine. That 66 is a beast! Great job on this 69 buddy. I love that idea of marking the bolts so you can see if any of them are loose after break in. Thanks Lucky P.S. Your neighbor- "Why does he have to do burn outs in the garage!" You- "Because I can!"
Great job, Thx , love working on 69 Chevelles . You are looking better from being 😷. Thx 😎
Looks great! My 1971 Pontiac LeMans GT-37 would love those upgrades!
Hey Lucky glad you are back and wrenching again. Glad you beat the Rona!
Lucky is the best!
Awesome shop truck. Hope you are doing well Lucky.
Thank you for the gratuitous burnouts 😀
Best
Car
Ever
Awesome work! John and you wrenching is awesome. That install looks great, do you have any video on the install? Dude much love!!!!
Hey Lucky do you know if all the parts are made in the US? Love the channel, keep up the great work and stay well.
That damn squeaky clutch pedal! Sounds just like mine!
We all got it !
Nice!
Check those shocks very carefully ! Mebbe that mysterious cloud was gas escaping from one of the shocks ! So glad to see you feelin' good.........
love the tire warming procedure lol
Lucky feeling his oats in the shop/
Aldan? Thought you were a QA1 kind of guy. Looks great 👍. I appreciate the plan to do all bolt on mods. If the owner has all the old hoses and belts, I'm sure these take off hard parts are going on a pallet for storage. Makes sense to retain the purity of this one.
LOL you should call this Lucky's unboxing show
very nice Chevelle I would love to see you take for a test drive and see the stance
I liked the re-bodied corvette
Lucky you rule. Hope your side effects are gone. Gods speed in your recovery. 👍
My first car was a `66 Chevelle. What`s up with Chev Hell? Miss seeing that car, but your shop truck is outrageous! lol Smoke em in the shop! Outstanding. Stay safe Lucky, God Bless.
Welcome back! Question, what size are those BFGs? Thanks.
Those plastic straps you cut off the boxes make the best slim Jim you'll ever find for free. Slide it into the window and hook the lock- presto you're in like Flynn
26 minutes, keep 'em comin'....
Awesome car love the videos lucky!! Are those still whats left of the tires from duct tape drags? Had the pleasure of meeting you briefly there! Love watching your truck and builds
Costa crew 🤙
Lucky, How ya feeling ?
When was this episode filmed? Before or after the ‘Rona? Reason I ask is, you sound like you’re back to normal, but in that video you posted of you being in the shop for the first time since you got Covid, you sounded like breathing was tough. I’m glad you’re back to normal!
I get it make a driver drive better but I'm sure one day someone will restore this great piece of iron.
Nice work Lucky, I'm a little Leary about the coil overs in the rear. The pressure of the spring is all on the shock mount. Springs do not ride in the pocket as they were originally designed stock wise. I remember an episode where you did a similar rear kit and I believe you welded some sort of bar between the two coil mounts and spring mounts were completely eliminated. How do you think this will hold up with out the support bar. I'm interested in this kit?
If that is a real SS 396 Chevelle, it would have boxed rear control arms, rear upper control arm braces, and a rear sway bar
The Olds 4-4-2 has always had the rear sway bar as standard equipment since 1964 but the Chevelle SS it is an option.
Doctor Lucky, can you explain or do a video on what I/viewers would feel, or notice, driving, and turning by changing my 77 C10 with Air to TUBULAR ARMS UPPER and LOWER,,, PLEASE
Nice Work. What exhaust system did you use ? I put the same Coilovers on my 68 Chevelle, the exhaust over the axle doesn't work ?
How hard was it to put the QA1 coil over kit on your shop? I'm thinking about doing it myself rather than having a shop do it.
Did you have to add the original spacers back in when installing the tubular control arms.
Do you have a list of the parts, I also have a 69 chevelle and looking to do the same thing.
Show us what it looks like on the ground with it's new suspension, wheels, and tires.
I live in Strasbourg Virginia
like the video
Do they make that kit for a 64?
Lucky.... What brand are your 2 post lifts?
How are you feeling now, Lucky?? You sound better, but still winded..
Looking great! Who made the control arms? I did not find them on Aldan American site?!
Oh just heard it there at the end POL
What weight rating did you go with on the front springs 450lbs?
You picked those parts up with your 'shop truck?'
Why am I surprised by this?
I’ve heard of that ignition key / reverse lock setup. Couldn’t you just put somebody in the driver’s seat and have them push the clutch in, and make the car roll?
What happened to the car getting the Roadster shop chassis?
