@@AbbyNormalGarage lol that makes two of us! I saw you put a video out recently too, I haven’t forgotten to check it out. It’ll happen today after church. I’m looking forward to it!
Cool! I’m working on a widebody Murray just like the one you guys worked on in earlier videos, making it a trail rig it’s got a rear rack, pulley swap getting tree kickers and front bumper.
lol i loved that first bit! also, if i remember right you all have an 18hp oppy somewhere, so id use that if he ends up wanting more power. some of those came stock with one, so it should bolt right up and clear the hood. It would be easier because you wouldnt have to deal with finding and buying an engine somewhere if needed. I also agree on the front end, those steel ones like to have the spindle break through the side...
@@spudstudios3342 the oppy you’re probably thinking of is a horizontal shaft. That is already in the Wheel Horse now. Ethan is gonna do a slide carburetor on this 14 hp OHV Briggs and a header. If he doesn’t like it he’ll try to find a v twin Kohler
@ oh! Yes you are correct! That engine was given away to a super minty guy when we went to Good Evening Ranch last year. Back then I did not see a need for it and didn’t know if it ran or not. The guy who has it told me it lit off with a squirt of starter fluid. I don’t know if that would’ve fit on this rig anyway and I remember it being heavy as can be. Not making excuses I just didn’t want another engine laying around. Plus that guy already has a few of them and he’s got a lot of spare parts for it. That engine was missing some stuff like cooling tins and some carb pieces.
Oh my gosh! I laughed so hard. Yes, being the main judge of the builds whether rules are followed… I can say some help is ok. The build as you said will be done by Ethan. If he needs help welding something or something along those lines. I’m not picky since you are dad. I don’t see it as a competency thing but a safety thing. I’ve seen the boys in your videos over the past year or so and it is easy to tell they are pretty capable. 👍🏼. Excited to see this build progress!
@@MightyRaze hahaha 😆 I knew it was alright to help him out with welding and stuff, but I told him he needs to prep everything. So far he’s paid for everything too!
@@1776_Garage I thought it’d be funny to do a skit, not sure how Kill Bill 2 entered into my brain 😅 This will be good for Ethan to start using his hands and making some decisions
I had one of these but mine was the 5 speed, my dad burnt mine down entirely from trying to weld on it he didn't clean the frame and I didn't know how to weld and was away for the weekend 🤦🤦 I've since owned several different tractors 😂
