As some of the others already mentioned, Jackie didn't use wires for his jumps or Parkour stuff in his movies from the 1970s to like 1996 when he went to America. There weren't many or no safety measures in the old Hong Kong days ("if you've got the guts, you do it" or "rolling, action, jump, cut, hospital"). That's one reason no one wanted to insure him. The whole stunt team used wires in fight scenes though when they wanted to amplify the impact of a punch or kick. It wasn't Wire-Fu like in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon or like Jet Li did sometimes, it was just to spice up an otherwise grounded fight.

Tracers is actually pretty good and accurate. Storror just took a few scenes out of context or rather snippets of scenes. There are some very good chase and parkour scenes in it. Taylor Lautner's character learns parkour in this film as well so the awkward scenes are him training like for the first time. It's at least 7 out of 10. Jackie is the OG. Most of what he did was real, especially back in the day. It's going a bit far to call it parkour, but his skill is not to be questioned. The wire work came later, and Jackie's wire work was him adapting to the times, rather than needing to "fake" it.
When they did Jackie Chan all I could think of was Rush Hour 2, and the blooper at the end where he tries to fit through the mail slot of a barred counter... and banged his leg on it >_< When I saw it in the movie for the first time I was like NO WAY Love that man. absolute legend-

@@thejosslife just my silly tries
of getting a ❤️ lol
You guys should react to Yamakazi next time, I think its a french movie with a lot of parkour in it
josh and toby's little side glance makes me think josh was definitely the one pulling up a wee 1.5 hours late
Jackie is the OG. Most of what he did was real, especially back in the day. It's going a bit far to call it parkour, but his skill is not to be questioned. The wire work came later, and Jackie's wire work was him adapting to the times, rather than needing to "fake" it.
When they did Jackie Chan all I could think of was Rush Hour 2, and the blooper at the end where he tries to fit through the mail slot of a barred counter... and banged his leg on it >_<
When I saw it in the movie for the first time I was like NO WAY
Love that man. absolute legend-
This was sick. Another good one to check out is the parkour chase scene from the beginning of Casino Royale. I watched that when it first came out and it's what got me so interested in starting to train myself.
"what we want and need, to be honest, is to be a team of bad guys in a movie." *tucks my old fic of storror being rogue undercover agents in a corner*
The cat passed as they talked about a catpass. Thank you.
Always really interesting to see you guys talking about parkour culture
Nice to see ur all chilling 💪💪💪
Love that Taxi was in here, the films are great
Great vid guys 🔥👌 Love seeing your review videos.. oh was it Mr Segar who was late there today? Just got a funny feeling lol..
Excellent vid chaps! After Banlieue (District) 13 which is incredible, Casino Royale was the next film that I thought of. Surprised they didn't show a review of this as Sebastien Foucan was ace - unsurprisingly
I really love these types of videos! especially this one coming from you guys!!
Yes yes!! Storror reacts would be soooo sick, you guys could make it a daily series. Love it🤩
Knew there would be a review video up soon with all the injuries at the minute! I'm not complaining though, big up storror, rest easy, hope the convalescence is comfy and speedy!
Storror and Corridor Crew should team up to dissect parkour scenes from movies and talk about the VFX combined with the practical stunts.
You guys have to react to Hardcore Henry, it's in first person and they some really cool parkour stuff throughout the whole movie.
Wonderful video boys, I always love watching a good old sit down video of the greatest RUclipsrs of all time. Keep up the amazing content. 🙏🌊🌊🙏 It must have been Callum who was late because you lot left him behind again.
Honestly the parkour bits in 6 underground were the best parts of the film.
Gotta do your Jackie Chan history guys! easily a 10+! No question.
I don't know why someone would say what Jackie Chan does is fake. Any of it. They are real stunts. He wasn't trying to do "Parkour" but what he did was essentially what Parkour was made to do.
I reckon for no reason at all i think it was Josh who was late. Also got to say great vid and cant wait for the 6 underground episode.
12:40 "tracer" LMAO its so funny to hear british people pronounce things in american accents XDD
Josh was 100% the last to arrive! - Keep up the great content 👏
Damn, Jackie chan going from a 10/10 to honourable mention...Savage.
