So on the headlights I had the same issue going through a drive through Christmas light show. I found that if you turn the headlights off while in gear or driving slowly they'll turn off lol.
That's great to know. I have to try that. Thank you
Day 3 and still love everything about my 2023 a spec Elite Canada version and think taking time to learn features is important 👌. No car is perfect but compared, some are a lot closer than others.
@@QueTheChaotic I was looking this over, alot of these issues are because of the morph between SI with the tech aspect and having a manual transmission.
As a Vag guy, small things like this would irritate me too. Many features can be turned on off via the OBDII port. ✌️
I feel like this should have an auto liftback option at least, it’s a super nice feature that adds to the practicality.
Okay dude, I discovered all this just like you, these type of things always show up on the first year re-issue of a beloved classic model. Now take your 2023 Integra out on the road and actually do some driving. Finding yourself owning and navigating the road with it, tight turns, accelerations and braking etc. **Easily** dealing with (and even passing) the BMWs, Audis, Mustangs and Corvettes that give you any trouble, while hanging with the Porsches and Maseratis in the neighborhood as basic equals. All of this while averaging about 32-33 mpg.(!!) This is exactly why I bought my '89 Integra back in the day and will keep my '23 for the foreseeable future, bugs and all.
You're right about the 1st MY. I have a 24 now and they fixed a lot of SW bugs
The only issue I have with my Integra's apple car play is that there's a 3 second delay in the audio after I skip to the next song. After I skip, both visual interfaces match and change instantly, but that delay in audio is BRUTAL.
Aww man that sucks. I have a 1-2 second delay
are you using wireless?
Same , wireless also
The E brake should be your primary brake when parking. All of the cars weight is being held in place by your transmission. You should be engaging the e brake every time you park in neutral, turn the car off then put the car into gear as a back up
I had a friend the other day say his '22 Si rolled away even in gear because he didn't put the e brake on
Wow. I have never seen a car roll away in gear. Maybe I should use the E brake more often. I'm self taught on the manual so I didn't get the basics
Bruhh. That’s impossible. Lol.
@@ka124as it's not though
Yup, definitely nailed the issues, one other thing that annoys me is if I park and wanna listen to the song finish or something but also shut off the car cause I'm in the garage then it's just not possible, you shut off the car and everything turns off and lights come on and it's like hurry up, leave the vehicle. It's my first time with a push start tho, maybe that's normal
Now this should have been my number one. Maybe it’s a Honda thing. I like to listen to music after I turn the ignition off. This thing turns all the way off. I hate it lol
@Que_The_Chaotic it happens with my 2013 TL too so maybe it's been a Honda/Acura thing for a while.
Yeah I know but I'm not gonna shut the car off and then turn the car back on accessory, the point is for the music to never shut off in the first place when I turn the car off
Every car I've ever had, about 15 cars, old cars included (my 95 mercedes and 92 VW), when you shut the car off (turn key to the left to cut ignition) it stays in accessory and the music continues to play until you go all the way full left with the key OR some cars you can completely shut off and pull the key out and music continues until you open the door. This car does none of that, the music stops when you kill the engine, NOT THE SAME. I'm aware it has accessory options but you have to completely kill everything first if you were just driving. REGARDS
...uhh car is great, I own this car, am I not able to point out something I wish was fixed about when you shut the car off? I was clarifying with you because you seem to have trouble understanding things so hopefully you get it now lol
Very true about the sync of the music, the infortainment system, and that loud ass parking sensors. Definitely a software issue that Acura needs to fix.
Glad it's not just me. Thanks for chiming in man
I honestly thought about getting one, especially since they offered $25K for my 2019 Accord (MT 1.5L with tons of fun mods). But honestly, for me, it's too expensive, and should have the Iconic Drive 27 color ambient lighting that every other Acura has. It also should have rear seating climate control, and also the SH AWD that every other Acura has. As built today, the A-Spec w/ Tech Package 6 speed MT should cost $32-$34K tops
I agree with you 100%
I have/had 4 vehicles with sh-awd and the system takes around +/- 25% of drivetrain loss and adds around 200 lbs of vehicle weight. The CR-V slip-n-grip awd might work on the teggy; but, wouldn't be as sporty as the tq vectoring sh-awd. Hopefully, the Integra Type-S will have sh-awd.
I mean you can get ambient lighting done by some professional and tbh it doesn’t need a rear climate vents cuz the fronts does excellent work. It gets rear heated seats that a lot of other cars don’t get it in it’s price range. It also gets the best sound system in price range and it gets Honda’s very smooth infotainment system. In the end it’s a more luxurious Honda civic si.
I got my preowned with 3200 miles for $34,000 A-Spec on sale
@@nuday777 I got my preowned A-spec with 4k miles for $36k, a little more but absolutely worth it.
Good day and congratulations on your ownership. I'm picking up mine in few days and not detoured by your negative issues and agree with you. As for many of your issues Honda pro Jason videos are helpful as some are across Honda products. As for light issue, put in parking light, for parking sensors I found settings on my RDX A SPEC infotainment settings to change as well as cameras. But from my experience from my 2016 Civic to Both Ridgeline trucks, Accord, RDX, is the connection issues with audio with Android devices but great with kids iPhone products.
Great video. One thing missed. When it rains and you have to reverse, backup cameras are useless!! Rain completely blocks camera! It sucks.
I never noticed but you're right! It gets dirty easily too
7th day in and still no real negative. And noticed most if not all reviews don't show special features. Use key fob to bring all windows down and open sunroof by double press lock then hold unlock
Congrats! I actually never use that feature. Thanks for then instructions. I had other cars where you just hold unlock to do it. I would have assumed the Integra didn't have it if I tried.
@Que_The_Chaotic we share my friend. I've been buying Honda/Acura products since 1997 and family in Jamaica had many Honda products from I was a child, but still learn and I accept any tips and tricks.
@@TheKingkingg I appreciate you. I’ll put this in a video.
@@QueTheChaotic awesome 👌
My '22 tlx does the same thing with the headlights. You should be able to turn your headlights off at night if you want to. Not a big deal though.
I'm surprised there's no trunk pop/auto trunk open feature. That's pretty disappointing for a luxury brand. Thanks for the vid, I wouldn't say any of it is dealbreakers for me but def annoying I can see where you're coming from
Thanks for the feedback! Most auto reviewers can't pick up on these things in a short period.
I'm glad Honda/Acura has corrected many of these issues. I have a 2024 Integra and don't have any of the issues you mentioned. The only quirk I have with mine is the "sticky" steering issue that is a known defect in the steering rack. My dealer has one on backorder for me and will replace it as soon as the part comes in.
I love my Integra, and for the same money as the Honda dealer was trying to sell me a Civic Hatchback...it was a no brainer to get the Acura.
I was howling when the wiper smacked the windshield 😂
Man that parking sensor is a deal breaker. Personally I’d be happy with a new car from the 90’s. Maybe I’m just getting old (57) and grumpy. Thanks for the vid!!!
Lol! Thanks for watching
I'm a year older than you and have the same thoughts. Except the touch tone screen for the radio, in the more recent cars, everything else I could do without. The electronic hand brake is worst. They are useless if you have a dead battery.
Bro, I've been loving your videos about the Integra! As a Honda enthusiast outside of America I'll never get the chance to own of these, let alone see one...
Wow I've never thought of that perspective. I'll get more videos during the holiday time
Probably cause the e break is electric so my guess is it affects some features lol idk why a traditional handbrake got replaced
Oof, I was expecting to see petty things but nah those are some real issues, especially with the trunk release and parking sensors.
I finally test drove one of these, and while it's pretty inside and out, it didn't feel faster than my '15 Si unfortunately. Also I just can't with that electronic parking brake, it just felt so wrong.
Lol. I'm pretty sure the previous gen is faster. I do think the Integra is underrated compared to the Civic Si in power but its moot with the added weight
@@QueTheChaotic Yeah the 10th gen was pretty light, just at 2900lbs, although my 9th gen is at 3000lbs, so it's not that much lighter than the Integra.
I purchased a 2023 Acura Integra base for my daughter’s 18th bday. It’s her first car and she loves it. I added remote start at the dealer. Saved $3k over a 2022 Civic Hatch Touring that was marked up.
You made out well. She'll enjoy it
These are some odd things, but would never get a German car over this…
Been had my 01 s500, that I picked up for 2700, will outlast your car. M113 motor, your afraid to have a broken car that looks nice😉.
Had a 01 CLK. Perfect car. M112
2000 c230 .
Can’t be a bitch
The car looks good! It also sounds like a software problem since all these cars now ran off computers.
You can turn the parking sensor volume up or down in the settings. I have mine on low.
How do I get to that? I couldn't find it earlier today in vehicle setting or the general sound settings.
@@QueTheChaotic You have to go deep to find it. Haha
General settings
System
System volumes
System sounds
You can go from 0-3. 0 is off completely. I go with 1. This will effect the volume for all warnings.
@@briannwo1900 thanks a lot! I’ll try again . I thought I did it. Let me turn it off to make sure. Default was 2 or 3.
Same issue with Android Auto as the Carplay issue you cited. It will stop working, plugged in or wireless. Sometimes it also removes the phone from remembered devices and you have to repair the phone. Very annoying.
That's terrible
@@QueTheChaotic I've read on the Si forums that they are having the same problem.
I don't know what the law's are in the USA but in Canada all new cars in the last 24 years must have daytime running lights. And like you said the only way you can turn them off is when the car is turned off and the parking brake is on. When you start the car with the parking brake on the lights are off but as soon as you take off the parking brake the lights come back on. This is a safety feature here in Canada and also all your chiming sound are a safety device you are supposed to have your car in neutral with the parking brake on so when you start the car, you don't accidentally bump forward if it's in one of the forward gears. Maybe you have a car that was made for the Canadian market.
I think manufacturers are just keeping most of the markets the same. At least for Honda. I think Europe has similar rules with the lights. I do have a feeling they build these to Canadian spec. Someone told me they sell more Civics there so it would make sense.
Oh wow this is a good point, thanks.
Well good for you for have several things in the list. My list has 1, and that one thing is was enough to put me off the car: The 1.5 liter engine.
Bro I just traded my new 2022 Wrx for this car today and I’m so happy I did! Mine is blue with black interior
Nice! What made you switch?
I was barely averaging 20 miles a gallon and it just didn’t feel premium for the price
I got my Acura in blue with black interior and the light package plus carbon side mirrors
nice, did you get the black trim? like the badges? that would be a sick look!
@@Jessemessler I've gotten 44mpg on a fifty mile trip and average around 35. I have 700 miles on it right now and haven't used sport mode barely at all because I'm taking it easy breaking it in. But mine is crazy good on gas
I was so close to getting this car over having my Si repaired. Now I've been a Honda(Acura) loyalist for decades and I keep my cars north of 15 years. The reliability and praticality is king with the brand. That trunk issue is unacceptable and I can't believe they missed that. The delayed song screen update has plagued my 2015 for years and it's a shame to see this happening to this modern platorm. It also tells me this must that matter to Honda to really care to fix it unless you manually go into shop. Parking sensors and inaccurate heads up display would frantically have me finding how to permanently disable because I'd have to live with this car. Your points are valid as you are similar to me. You likely buy a Honda(Acura) to live with it, not to deal with it all of the time.
You had me at electronic parking brake. That's a deal breaker right there! I bought an RSX-S brand new, 22years ago, and I will NEVER go through the nightmare of buying an Acura/Honda under warranty EVER again. On the RSX, there were a ton of cars wrecked because the parking brake was misadjusted from the factory. Honda/Acura has always been known for bad brakes (the DC2 integra was known for warped rotors).... so, no way I'm trusting some electronic on a honda/acura. No thanks. I'll buy something else, as I've been doing... and yes, I still own my RSX-S.
Everything you mention pretty much seems like they need updating. That's what first model year cars do. Usually by the 3rd model year or the mid-cycle refresh model years which are model years 4 and 5, everything gets worked out and works flawlessly.
The first and second model year need to run their course for 12-24 months.
Hopefully Acura makes the correction on everything and does not have those issues when the Integra Type S comes out summer 2023 for the 2024 model year. Any bugs the Integra Type S gets early on, I'm waiting until the mid-cycle refresh model years, preferably or specifically the final model year to pull the trigger on getting me a manual-only Integra Type S so that I have flawless issue car when I take delivery of one built brand new out of the factory with all the options and features I want unless it'll come equipped fully loaded and the only thing I'm choosing is exterior and interior colors, wheels, and accessories and add-ons to the car.
You're absolutely right. Hopefully they fix these and they'll add more as the years go by. The Civic probably shares all of these issues.
Great video bro, keep up the good work 🔥
Thank you
Great video. Wow, the lights, lack of interior/FOB hatch release and parking brake sensors are annoyances that would be deal breakers for me. Awesome car mechanically and aesthetically but Acura needs to work on their electronics. Do you know if the Honda Civic Si has these annoyances as well? Again thank you for the video, I was actually considering getting the Type S when it comes out this summer.
I think the Civic does through the same. It could have a trunk release though but I can't remember
@@QueTheChaotic The Civic Si is a sedan right? I have a 2023 Civic Sport which is also a sedan and it has a trunk release button near the driver door and on the keyfob
Just sold my 2020 Si. None of these problems. It has a lever to open the hatch the key has a button.
hope Acura is watching/listening. all good points
Good video. On the trunk release, my 2024 has that small button to the right of the large button that unlocks the car doors so you don't have to be beside the car to let someone else get in. 😁
I recently found a 2024 Integra Base model for 28K it has 6K miles on it-slightly used. It was a dealership service loaner. Would you recommend purchasing one of these? They said it is certified.
My 2016 Honda Accord has a issue where Infotainment Carplay will freeze during navigation and won't reset unless you turn car off and on.
Many other owners had same thing, and Honda never fixed.
Kinda disappointed to hear Acura seeing similar thing. Very annoying during road trips in unfamiliar areas.
It looks like they fixed it for 2024
I also can’t believe that the trunk doesn’t open automatically and there’s no center console in the backseat
They dropped the ball on those
Can you see through the back curtain when driving, when looking through the rearview mirror?
I'm over here with a 23 year old car with no modern features....I generally prefer older cars where I manually do everything when I want it's all I know so it doesn't bother me I hope Acura fixes everything the newer generation of youth rely heavily on tech. The only thing I like from the new cars is blind spot monitoring I don't need backup cams or apple car play though.
I'll be honest I'm just here for the content 👀😄
Boo!
I once heard that any time is Trinidad time.
@@RaceCar21 LMAO You heard correctly!
@RCF - Naw you just here for the education bruh. QUE U 😆
@@RDriver2.0 LMAO Oh that's what the E stands for! I'm down sign me up!
you have to hold the off button on the headlights for longer
It doesn’t work even if you hold it for 20 seconds
I hate the placement of the head unit. I have to move my whole upper body to see whats on it while driving.
Man, you spittin!!!! I had mine for a week and I'm regretting it.
Aww man. Not our friend regret. I just learned to live with it😔
Great video and thank you for the info. I was actually considering getting this in two months after my lease is up but now I’m not sure. was looking to get the 2024 Integra Aspec
I’ve owned many Acura vehicles and they did not do the interior justice. The seating leather is cheap, the passenger seat is not automatic and no vents in the back. Not happy with that.
The infotainment issue I think is an iPhone issue. I have a galaxy s22 and no issue at all but when I had my 2016 accord and my iPhone, I used to have a bunch of issue with the infotainment
I think you're right. Apple Carplay has it's own sw embedded in the infotainment. They would be the ones to fix it if it is deemed a Carplay specific issue
Wireless Apple CarPlay has lag issues with many car brands.
Buy a fm, works on old cars💪🏾
FM radio
Tell me about the lights!! I am seriously contemplating a black out switch. If you try to be slick and creep in neutral with the exterior lights off, the interior lights turn on full! I hate the lighting setup on my '16 TLX. The fogs only operate when the headlights are on which completely defeats the purpose of fog lights. Also, the stereo turns off right away, not when I open the door! I miss my '01 CL sometimes. No trunk release? Acura loves to destroy wipers. My rain-sensing wipers go off randomly sometimes. In 2026 Acura and Sony will come out with a joint venture supposedly.
Do your rain sensing wipers go OFF randomly, or go ON randomly. I need to know 😉
@terryp007100 darn right. Goes through blades half again as much as a car without. My 01 Acura CL were intermittent but slowed when stopped. These will sometimes go crazy when stopped.
It's cool to drive into a rainstorm and out of it without touching the controls. Also, if a vehicle splashes you, it wipes right away. Overall it's more of a convenience than a burden.
That doesn’t happen when I start mine
Manual gift late is nothing to complain about . It’s not like it’s a mystery, I found that out the minute I got in the car. I agree it would be better with power but again it’s not like something is not working properly
I haven't had the navigation freeze yet with android auto. im going to keep an eye on it now and see if i can get it to freeze.
Also, would there be any way to permanently disable the parking sensors in this car? I'm thinking about getting one within the next 2 years
That I don't know. Maybe with a fuse pull but that could disable other things
My biggest complaint is that I can’t always get the Auto Unlock to work like it should. Sometimes it works, sometimes now. Sometimes it unlocks all 4 doors, sometimes it refuses
Sometimes it only unlocks one door?
@@QueTheChaotic yep. And still occasionally, it won’t unlock the driver door either. I have to either use the fob or walk away from the sensor and wait a few moments and walk back
@@zalden2565 that sucks
I knew I seen them lights leaving my mom's place that one night 😂
😆😆😆😆😆
Try holding the switch to the off position for a few seconds
Tried that too. Doesn’t work.
Sounds like Honda/Acura issues.. My 2020 Accord does the same thing wit the lights and I have issues with Apple CarPlay all the time I have to disconnect and reconnect and my digital gauge won’t show anything for the audio
4:43 mannnn not again 😂 Great video... regardless 😆
Thank you 😁
I get something like that but if I mute the navi voice through my iPhone, it minimizes the volume and sticks the volume; If I try to turn up the volume, it won't turn up or down...it happens daily
That sucks. I had that happen a couple times in another car
Yea you gotta put the wipers in service position by flicking the stalk right after you turn the car
That issue with apple carplay has been a Honda problem for YEARS they should
I learned about service mode just recently. Saved my wiper's motor
I have a 2023 Integra as well and have been very dissatisfied with the car. My biggest problem and concern is that no one can hear me when I call them using the Apple CarPlay plugged into USB. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know because it affects my business. I did take it to Acura and they tested it and said there’s nothing they can do. Basically it’s just crummy engineering I guess.
Edit, people on the other end of the call so they hear a bunch of road noise and echo
How is it on wireless Carplay? I wonder if there is a difference
Damn I’m supposed to get one next week😂
Did they fix the infotainment issue with the music and the GPS not updating when you change the song ect?
I ended up getting a 2024 instead and the issues don’t exist anymore
You can set your e brake to engage automatically every time you turn off the car
How?
@@QueTheChaotic you gotta use the brake system button for that to happen.
@@AGiLEistic do you have e the CVT? Not sure this is on the manual
A lot of these "quirks" are definitely not just little things. They all add up to be mad annoying lol. Acura needs to do somethin about majority of this stuff. This trunk button on the key fob that doesn't open the trunk....dummmbbb😂😂 like why
Lol! Most of which you wouldn't find on a test drive. But the trunk though? Who gave that the green light?
@@QueTheChaotic right...the"hidden gems" 😆
Who knows somebody thought it was a brilliant idea. To keep the confusion down it would've made more sense to put the release inside the card and not on the fob lol dumb
Love that color!
Thank you
13:57 well damn! can you turn the parking sensors off?
I need to try lol. I just hurry and move the car
I think it would have been cool if the 8-speed DCT from the ILX carried over to the Integra rather than the CVT. Don't get me wrong, the CVT is not bad at all for daily driving (I own a 2023 Civic EX 1.5T) and is nice for putting around town and driving on the highway because it's extremely smooth, but the Teggy should be slightly more upscale than your standard civic.
I would have liked a DCT as well
@@QueTheChaotic Definitely, just for the sake of adding some level of separation and "bespokeness" from the civic.
Do you have any issues with your headrest being a little loose? I don't know how to explain it but when I put my head back on it, it moves a little bit as if it's loose.
I haven’t had any issues with the headrest.
Hey man if you twist the nob on the left the headlights will turn off
They still don't turn off
Thanks for the video bro!
Thanks for watching
Looking into integra at the moment …. Got me thinking
Que out here with the sneaky links 👀👀
Not I said the Que. My Swanton bombing days are behind me
@@QueTheChaotic I see you with the pro wrestling reference. The Hardy Boyz were the "bomb". 💣
@@RaceCar21 😆 I see what you did there
Put the wipers in maintenance mode when raising it
They're still going to slap the windshield
How’s the performance on your integra? How are the back seats of integra?
I like it. The back seats are larger. I have a few review videos
Thanks for the video on some of the quirks and bugs with the Integra. I'm picking up a blue manual A-Spec Tech next Friday. Most of the issues you mentioned I can live with (even though it is a bit odd for any vehicle in 2023 to not have a hatch or trunk release from within the interior). However, that cluster and HUD getting stuck is a bit more concerning than the others. I do realize with tech like this there will be bugs in just about any car, especially the first model year. I wonder though if this is an Integra-wide issue or just a defect with your car. Have you tried to see if it will do the same thing if you don't use the USB cable?
Regardless, hopefully, this will be one of the first things Acura fixes via a software update. Also, with the parking sensors, is there an option to turn them off? I find parking sensors overly annoying on any car I've driven that had them. I recently rented a Model 3 and those proximity sensors are just as annoying as the parking sensors you just demonstrated on the Integra, although once you stop, the beeping stops too on the Model 3. Anyway, nice vid. Subbed!
Thanks a lot for the sub! I think you can turn them off in the menu. I started backing into the driveway so its less annoying. I noticed the freezing on wireless as well. I have a 2024 Integra now. I haven't noticed the infotainment issues on this one yet in 1200 miles.
I got mine today maybe I’m doing something wrong but I noticed the charging station stops charging my phone if it sits there to long
That might be a safety measure. I have no idea though. Is it fully charged?
My 2023 integra has a different radio & also only way to open the trunk is by getting off and popping it open. Other than there’s no button or the key won’t do it for me ??
There's only one way
with the parking sensors, I had that issue with my 2018 TLX Spec..nothing what my 2022 Type S
so besides "tech" crap the diff between the integra and a civic is minimal.
the integra is a civic SI with the option to have an automatic (which the SI does not)
that being said, if you want a manual, you have to pay for the top trim (~38k). again, why not just buy the civic at that point? they look better IMO
$5000 markups on the Civic Si make the Integra attractive
@@QueTheChaotic you should see the markups my acura dealer is putting on cars. $10k "market adjustment" pricing on type-s MDX's and some others....yet the cars have been sitting for weeks or months.
wouldn't a "market adjustment" price be applied when they CAN'T keep the cars in stock??
If I were buying, I would buy the civic sport touring but I ended up leasing the integra and it's only $1000 more over 3 years versus leasing the civic. Definitely worth it. I love my integra and don't really have any complaints. I do wish the truck popped open. That would be a big plus. But I'm happy overall
Can you do a video on the infotainment system options and set up?
I have the Type S now. Not sure if all the options are the same but I could
Man I love your commentary! Haha got flexed on by a BMW? I had a 328i and sold it within a year. All of the plastic parts that the Germans over engineered all of them.
Looking at an Integra myself. Same package you have but in red. Is the overall build better or worse than you expected?
The build is what I expected. I know Honda does a great job at building their cars.
Thanks for sharing. Good job.
Thanks for watching
I got everything but the tech package..... No memory seats?!?! No lumbar support like my 2019 ILX had? My 2014 BASE model ILX had memory seats. Its the manufacturer. They could so easily make this car ideal they're just fuckin cheap
The lack of the hatch lid opener is a deal breaker. The infotainment glitches sound very annoying. Deep sigh.
Not sure if this was covered, but did you know you also cannot lock the car from the outside if the engine is running?
I noticed that. I could have put that on the list as well.
@@QueTheChaotic Great review. I have the same quirks in my Accord. I feel your pain. My radio is absolute trash. Does not connect well with Android Auto or Car Play. It's a 2020.
@@MrBklewis77 that should be the easy part for them to get right lol
You need to be parking with the e brake on man, thats like one of the first rules of driving a manual. Multiple friends of mine learned that the hard way. That's why it beeping like that, it thinks you are still driving the car. Putting the e brake on in a manual is like putting an automatic in park.
I recently started using the park brake when I park. I'm basically self taught so I never learned that.
@12:03 that is ... HELLA messed up mang! Dude take this video to your Acura store. They need to see this!
Absolutely. Once or twice, I don't mind. I've seen this about 15 times. It needs to be addressed
Very good info thank ya
Likeable dude
Thank you
Is the car still good have you been able to fix any of these issues?
I have a 2024 now and the infotainment bugs have disappeared. I only seen one glitch so far. Other than that, I back into the garage now lol
I see a lot of comments comparing the Integra and the Civic SI. Acura is the luxury brand of Honda, so I'm sure that people are very aware of what they're buying. Overall, I think the Integra is a great car. Like every car there are some things that could be better, but its not a deal breaker.
I still enjoy mines
The last issue with the sensors going off every time you are parked, without the e-brake and not in gear would drive me nuts. That alone would be a reason for me not to buy the car. Thanks for the video 👌
Thanks for watching. I wonder if I can disable the sounds in the menu. I'll try later
I don't own an Integra, but literally every car I've owned over the last several years has a volume control for system sounds. It's usually in the same part of the menu that control navigation volume. You could look there. Just turn the volume down as much as possible.
I haven't had the problem that he's having, if I'm in gear yeah, but not in neutral and not with parking break on but whenever it beeps I press the button on the steering wheel that he tried to push and it silences it every time so idk what's going on with his
Is this an issue in the cvt?
So you're able to turn the lights off, after applying the parking brake. Do they automatically come back on when when you disengage it?
They do
Anyone else hearing a annoying sound coming from the driver side speaker ?
Not I
My 2018 WRX is the same with the daytime running lights. The DRL's automatically come on when I release the parking brake and turn off once I pull the brake. Basically, there's no way for me to drive the car with the headlights off. This actually annoyed me a lot at first but after a couple years, I got used to it.
I have a 2011 legacy and find it very handy when I insert the key the day time running lights come on. If i forgot to turn off the head lights when leaving the car, as soon as I remove the keys, the light goes off. I think yours is a security issue as we may leave the lights on at times.
its also a copy and paste civic. pull up your center console pad/liner and look under it.. you'll see
Acura always seems to have a few issues and quirks with 1st model run vehicles. They seem to do a good job addressing them by the 2nd and 3rd model run. Acura's are pretty solid vehicles by the 4th/5th/6th and sometimes 7th model year of that version along with a few cosmetic, updated tech, additional trim levels, and luxury touches updates. The Integra need and Advance model with the extra features like motorized hatch with kick sensor, ventilated seats, 360 camera, rear wiper, Sport Hybrid option, etc...
It was old skool to always engage the parking brake with a standard and sometimes turning the front wheels towards the curb if parked on an incline in the street. Too many times back in day of people starting the car in gear and it jumping forward, bumping the gear selector by accident, or it just popping out gear for whatever reason.
Notice similar issues with Carplay with my 19 MDX Adv Sport Hybrid. The Acura techs are zero help and there hasn't been any Acura info-tainment updates for Carplay since my purchase back in March of 2019. All issues were fixed eventually with Apple I.O.S. updates. It took almost 5 months of updates from I.O.S. 13.0 to 13.4 to fix my screen freezing and info-tainment restart issue with Carplay (bluetooth audio worked fine during that time). Unfortunately, you sometimes end up getting new quirks with every I.O.S. fix of the old ones. I've found the Carplay forums have workarounds or settings you can try because some iPhone Carplay issues are universal across multiple vehicle manufacturers.
I agree with you on the Advance model. Great input! And you are correct. I worked in the infotainment industry and carplay issues go straight to Apple. They take forever too. Also last week I had an issue where the spotify screen was black with no info. I jumped into my wife's chevy Blazer and the same issue was there. It makes the manufactures of the cars look bad. I had to restart my phone to clear the issue.
us techs are zero help because we can't do anything about software issues. just so you know.
Mine beeps every time I open or close a door/trunk. Not sure how to make it not do that
Turn off "answer back" in vehicle settings.
Lol how they put touch screen in the cars but not the suv so backwards lol😂😂
That's nuts
I appreciate this video you made. Thank you! Liked and subscribed.
I was really hopeful about this car until it appeared with the 1.5L engine with the same hp/tq as the SI. It should have come with the Accord 2.oL engine. No spare tire... terrible. just like the SI. I know this is a first gen production but for Acura to put this out with all of these negatives is really awful and unacceptable for my money spent. Infortainment quirks definitely are unacceptable as well.
... Thank you again for the detailed honest review!
Thanks for the feedback. The cut a few corners that they shouldn't have in this segment
Wonder if the Civic 2022 Rear seat AC vent kit would fit this Acura model…
Wow they actually made a kit? Lol someone was fed up
Bro you're making me nervous with the windshield wiper that could crack the glass
😆😆😆 my heart skipped a bear the first time
