  • Kia Ora! In this holistic medical role-play, Doctor Shiver will be running an extremely thorough neurology assessment. This includes a cranial nerve exam, including some of your favourite tests such as color vision, light detection, click and tuning fork pitch tests, competing phrases along with some new, creative and holistic tests! The CNE is then followed up with a cognitive assessment, including cognitive reasoning, memory and logic tests. It was very stormy when I filmed this so you will inconsistent rain which I think adds to the realistic atmosphere!
    Pō mārie, good night!

    What does "Kia ora" mean?
"Kia ora" is a term from Te reo Māori, the language of the indigenous people of Aotearoa (New Zealand). It's a holistic term that can be used in lots of different situations. Translated literally, 'ora' refers to a state of living, or being alive. Adding 'kia' changes "ora" from a noun to a verb ('alive' to 'living'). So when you say kia ora to someone, you are wishing the essence of life upon them! "Kia ora" is commonly used as a greeting in Aotearoa, even though many of us (like me!) are not fluent in Te reo. I use it at the start of every video because it's important to me to share as much of the culture of this wonderful country as I can with you all. "Kia ora" can also be used as a way to say good luck, thank you and best wishes!

      Oh yeah.
I've been there. Just remember that life keeps on going. So keep embracing it while you can. Time is precious!
Plus ppl forget; and even if they don't, we all eventually die and then all those trivial embarrassing moments go with us.
And honestly, no would really care, if at all about them, even if they outlasted us anyway.

Man, the low tone tuning fork is my number 1 asmr trigger and almost nobody uses one! What a surprise treat to find one in this video, although it wasn't used long enough for my taste. I honestly don't know what it is, the first time I heard a tuning fork in an asmr video I almost had an out of body experience because of how strong the tingles got.
I think neurological assessment videos are like the litmus test of ASMRtists, because everyone does one, and this one definitely passed.

Synaesthesia rocks! People I know that have it naturally often display other characteristics that manifest as an uncanny intuition that makes their mind arrive at similar conclusions about things that a logician using symbolic calculations might arrive at but the former might have a difficult time explaining the process by which they arrived at their answer (people that get straight A's and hate showing their work often have it, too in the non-random subset of the sample of people I might know that admit that they experience it.)
