Well... With $1.8 billion dollars in the humanoid robot industry as of 2023 I'd say they're definitely "in the game."
Also... This robot isn't being "planned" to be sold, it IS BEING SOLD, at $16k. That's means many rich people have already bought one. They're limited in ability at the moment, so the want and need for one are still very small, but that's going up dramatically with our increases in AI and Machine Learning technologies.

Actually, China just passed more stringent Lithium battery laws than the rest of the world, including USA has. That's right, their batteries will be tested and have more rigorous requirements than ANYWHERE in the world. WHY? they sell a TON of ebikes and escooters every year in their market and CARE about them not catching on fire. The world market for them is TINY compared to their domestic market.
so we're benefitting SOLELY because THEY want better quality, so we get it also.

You are thinking the right way and the wrong way. $16k is cheap to buy a slave. That's good! Put aside PC memes, slaves have always been good business. But your mind immediately goes to the negative side, well, I work a slave job and I will be displaced. That may be true. But then you do what you can to buy some slaves and then they plant food for you and harvest and prepare it. They fix your car for you (thus displacing the mechanic which you no longer pay).
By the way, big winners here will be those that repair them. HUGE winners.
