I used to be very critical about myself and I would see every flaw and imperfection about myself, I never took the time to see all that was good about myself. And then I lost my best friend to cervical cancer and she was only 36yrs old. So now I've learnt that I'm lucky & proud to grow older, yes I've a little sun damage, yes I have a few more wrinkles (crow's feet 😂) and I even have a smattering of grey hair (which I cover with highlights) but I've learnt that growing older is a complete privilege not a guarantee. Your beautiful Caroline inside and out & we all see that. Please love yourself a little more 💗

You seem to have put a lot of stress upon yourself for no reason other than you are a perfectionist and are harder on yourself than almost anyone else is. What you bring to your viewers is a “style” of applying makeup. But!!! You also show the ways to adjust any faults in application. THAT is only ONE of the reasons I love your channel. Didn't notice the blush at all. I would have been too scared to try such a bold colour until I saw you make it look gorgeous. Any frankly, your concern about an issue that I didn't even notice add another layer of reassurance that even a professional isn't always 100% happy with the outcome. At the end of the day, you looked fab.

Seeing makeup on “normal” skin is far more helpful than the heavily edited botoxed filtered faces that we don’t relate to. You have a lovely face and it’s nice to see you are normal and have naturally older skin which a lot of us who are in our 40’s etc are needing to see rather than these mannequins who all look the same. Please don’t change yourself Caroline as we love you the way you are and find these videos soo much more helpful than the blank faces x

I loved the blush last week. This week I have been using more colour on my cheeks simply from following your example. When you first applied it scared me but then you adjusted and it truly looked lovely so that’s what I have been doing and I love the look of more colour in my face as I am so naturally pale. Love this video Caroline thanks for some really useful tips for my dry skin. My sone had terrible acne too I felt so bad for him. He’s turned into a hunky swan now though 😂. I hardly ever use blush as my hormones give me the flushy look! I’m vey self conscious of my redness on top of my cheekbones and under my eyes too though.

Do what makes you happy, but I thought the makeup from your By Terry concealer tutorial (2 weeks ago) was soooo much more flattering than last week's! Past a certain age, I think a little flush is youthifying, but too much can be a bit aging.

I liked the look but it good that you point out that all skins are different and as we age we may need to try different things I had horrible acne from 15 to 30 and used to try to totally smother my face in foundation now I know pick what’s right for my skin and I don’t need to cover my face I’m using a skin tint by Lisa Eldridge . I was very lucky that the lovley lady in Debenhams started me off on my skin care journey and helped me along and I went back to her till she retired she was incredibly nice to me when I felt very insecure never be frightened to ask for help if you don’t know where to start . Love this Chanel sit with my coffee on a sat morning and enjoy

My skin has been dry for the last year or so, likely menopause related. Feels tight quickly and craves moisturiser. (I often put a second layer of moisturiser on in the morning once the first has sunk in). Buying foundation has become difficult for the first time in my life because it now exaggerates pores and highlights dry areas. Eek! Anyhoo, I’ve just ordered some muslin facecloths ready to get exfoliating.🤞🏻Thanks for your great tips this morning. ❤ x

It was such a pleasure to catch your segment from a news channel... that popped up here on my youtube feed... where you were demonstrating bronzing. So fun to see you in action ; ) Any suggestion for angry, dry, "compromised" under eyes? I am trying to keep EVERYTHING (actives, serums, everything but moisture and SPF) away from them except for a thick but "clean" heavy cream... sometimes vaseline over top to keep in the moisture... but it seems like my under eyes are red, dry, irritated.
Paula’s choice exfoliate liquid is the only one I’ve used that actually smooths the lumps and bumps of acne scarring and sun damage from living in Oz for 8 years (it’s very little sunscreen 😩as I’m allergic to zinc and chemicals so had to wait for Elemis sunscreen order to arrive in uk with my friend and then her post it to me 😂) within just a couple of uses I also unused it on my chest hitch us badly scarred from sun damage and the difference was mind blowing! I use it a couple of times a week now but after I’ve been ill and my skin looks crap I’ll use it for a week every night straight 7 days and that will get me back to my lovely soft smooth skin 🥰 sorry - adhd brain means I can’t type a short sentence 🤣🤣🤣
If my hands are very dry, my fingertips work perfectly for sloughing off dead skin; small firm pressure circles, firm yet gentle if that makes sense. I can feel the skin “pilling”, and the difference between the un-sloughed skin and the fresh skin.
