Many, many sites publicized it. Gawker mostly just published the bits with the racism, which is far less than many of those sites. Gawker was the only one to get nailed because Gawker was the only one Peter Thiel had a grudge against an he was paying the bills. It's one of those rare stories where absolutely everyone involved is the bad guy.
