- Hi everyone, welcome back to my channel Watches_Admires, feel free to follow my Instagram Watches_Admires. Today we are looking at my Rolex GMT Master II Rootbeer reference 126711chnr with the two-tone in ever-rose gold and stainless steel. This has been my grail piece for a long time. This is my review on this piece explaining my back story on how I was able to obtain it. Then I speak on my personal experience with it. Enjoy the video!

Great review! It’s nice to see that you followed through and stayed patient and developed a relationship with your local AD. I’m doing the same thing with my local AD and I’ve really come to consider the people that work there my friends. Cheers and congrats on getting the allocation for that GMT. I’m waiting on the white gold Pepsi with Meteorite dial. Hopefully I get the call before they run out of Meteorite!

My friend, congrats on obtaining your grail! I feel similarly about the BLNR. Another piece of background to appreciate if you didn't already know: in this international market, the country where something is "made" is often just where it was assembled. By law, timepieces claiming to be made in Switzerland only need to be 60% Swiss origin. Only two manufacturers on the market are completely vertically integrated: Seiko and Rolex. For these two brands every step is in-house from pouring the metal in their foundry to creating gear lubricants. Just one more reason Grand Seiko and Rolex deserve top-shelf distinction in my eyes.
congrats on the watch and great story... I have the 126715CHNR version and love it... even though I have great watches by VC and Omega, this one gets the most wrist time for me. Wear it in health.
Love it on the Rubber B. It dresses it down beautifully and gives it a real sporty look.
*Update:* and as a result of your video, I have now ordered the Rubber B for my own Root Beer :)
Congratulations on that acquisition! I too, fell in love with the watch and was able to get it in 2019 just before the insanity began. I do not care for the yellow gold two tone watches either for the same reason. The everose gold is not as flashy and kind of subdued. I have only worn mine less than ten times. But when I do put it on for an occasion, I feel like a million bucks!! Good luck, enjoy it! Btw, I dig the rubber strap. Where could I find that one?

Congratulations. My favorite currently available watch. Got mine early covid. So much more versatile than I would've thought. I wear it with all sorts of attire for all occasions. Always fetches a complement. Enjoy in good health.

Great video. Just got mine this past weekend. Wore it to just the mall and it’s already covered in micro hairline scratches without hitting it on anything. The rose gold and clasp scratch extremely easy. But going to wear it forever so time to get used to it. First week of owning a Rolex is always the hardest 😂
For anyone interested. The rolex two tones are very flashy, and scratch easily. I think it sums it up. Proud owner of a two tone sub 41mm

Love the video, this is exactly what i plan to do with my newly acquired GMT Rootbeer!! I got the call from my AD just 7 days ago and I absolutely love it! I need to pop back next month to get a link taken out as my wrists were tight that day and i thought I didn't need to.. Its worth the wait and totally worth every moment getting to know your local AD. Proving you are trustworthy client is massive and once you do that to show them you are not a flipper you could potentially get any timepiece. Cheers!

A TT Rolex is hardly stealth. However, it is a lot more interesting than say a black sub. Congrats and wear it in good health!
As an owner, I’ll catch myself saying it’s understated and I’ll laugh, because it isn’t subtle in the slightest as far as general public is concerned. That said, compared to other TT out there it’s not as loud as I would’ve thought it’d be.
I agree, the gold on the bracelet kind of blends in with the skin color. It’s still a (TT) gold watch, but subtler than one might think
@@Bisley1 To @Bisley1's point, IMO the RG blends best on darker skin, and will stand out more on lighter skin.

I love my batman. But the rootbeer is FAR more beautiful.
I already have a 2 tone 36mm rolex and a 41mm wimbledon dial in 2 tone rose gold. So I just needed "a stainless sports watch".
But my next watch is the rootbeer or a 2 tone daytona.
I saw the rootbeer in person... its stunning. Videos never do it justice.

No but copper does oxidize. Hence the proper mixture.
Been on the list for one of these at a local shop for almost a year now, although if they ever call I dont know if I could rationalize buying it. We will see

Same, this two-tone is the best one in my opinion! As long as I'm aware of my surroundings, I'm not really worried

Taking off the bracelet and adding the rubber strap with the tools I purchased

Rolex is not one of my favorites nor am i a hater. However this is my favorite piece ever in all watchmaking.
Love this watch even morr all gold.

I haven't weighed it on a scale but its certainly heavier than all steel watches!

I had a few two tone Rolex sports models and that contrast eventually became a turn off and dated to me. That's why I traded into something a little more uniform. Either go all steel or all gold imo 💯

I can't bring myself to pay those greedy flippers £2-3k more than Rolex charge for this gorgeous timepiece so with my 19cm wrist I bought the chunkier Tudor version instead. Very nice boutique experience too which for me is all part of buying a luxury watch, not just clicking online, typing in my card details & getting some fat, hairy DPD driver delivering it to my house...what's special about that as an experience?!

Totally different watches. I have both and the Rolex is on another level looks wise. Still love the Tudor but it is very retro in comparison. It is not better looking.
