      Thank you! To anyone reading this, this guy right here was the first to ever donate/support my game! Back then, it didn't have much attention yet, and his donation preceded other donations by quite some time. I thought that would be the only donation ever. His support meant a lot to me--made my day and it boosted my confidence.
      So, shoutout to you and all the "1st" who donated to a simple indie game. We really appreciate and will never forget you!

      Hi Metgan games! Welcome to the channel and also to Gato. Always nice to see more games and meet more devs. Gato seems to have a couple of things rolling out soon, such as monetization and a better upload experience. Really looking forward to those changes.
      By the way, I took a look at your profile and just learned about iircade and atari vcs since you were developing for them. I've always wanted an arcade cabinet and was thinking of building one, just never had the time to. Do you have an iircade? I visited their kickstarter page and saw that they got 660,413 of their target 50,000 goal on 2021, but when I click their website, it's a dead link. Any idea how I can purchase their cabinet?
      P.S. Doodle Taxi's style looks cool!

    Great video! Do you know if Gato is available for american developers, or if it's only focused in latin/american regions (like mexico, spain, and south america, in no particular order)

      I saw that the game quest competition expanded all over the world, but not sure if that applies to the site in general

      Should be fine! I'm not from LatAm, but was able to join. Although, in my case, my game wasn't really dependent on dialogue, just mash buttons. I'm not sure how much it would affect games that are text heavy, like graphic novels, since LatAm is still the primary target. During the live event, people were speaking English, so it might be okay?

      @@TinyFishGameDev makes sense. I think my first game might've been okay, but my second is basically a linear novel, so i might need to revisit the game concept (ofc I could still apply for the interactive fiction, but it's not really interactive)

    • @TinyFishGameDev
      @TinyFishGameDev  4 месяца назад

      Yeah, maybe you can update your game if it doesn't fit in the interactive fiction, or just create a new one entirely. If I recall correctly, interactive fiction and horror are some of the categories than need more entries, better chances of winning bronze, silver, or gold.

    Hey buddy, is Toe II Toe registered or at least trademark or something...

    • @TinyFishGameDev
      @TinyFishGameDev  2 месяца назад

      Nope, haven't gotten to that part yet. Actually clueless about it and still don't know if it is something worth pursuing as a tiny fish making simple games. In your opinion, is it really helpful or necessary?

    • @dotcrazyclips
      @dotcrazyclips 2 месяца назад

      It's probably nothing an issue, unless your game becomes so popular that the big boys start to envy

    • @TinyFishGameDev
      @TinyFishGameDev  2 месяца назад +1

      @@dotcrazyclips I feel like the big boys can do anything anyway since they have the rep and a war chest. I'll worry about it if or when I get there. Seems like that's a good problem to have, a sign that something is right. Hopefully we get there.
