Brother Russ what a testimony! I can relate to the upbringing. Father was an alcoholic and the fear my siblings and I grew up in. Definitely affects you and the effects show up in adulthood. Only God can heal. I pray to have someone pray over me like pastor did for you. I too want to be set free. God bless you. You are an inspiration.

Man oh man, saw Russ and The Imperials 3x in the early 80s. What a voice. Singular talent. Thirty five yrs later and the thrill and the anointing are still there. Amazing.
Russ ..... i and my church arranged for you to have a concert in our building ....you and the other men in the group were called The Torchbears ......when we meet in heaven i will tell you of how that concert ministered to a 16 year old young lady who had just given her life to The King of Kings.....its been a difficult journey since those early days ....a newborn baby in Christ Jesus......so until heaven i want to say Thank You brother...Thank You because all these years later i get to see the Glory of God in your life through your songs ....now i see where once i was blind....now i hear where once i was deaf.....its the trials ...that refiners fire that makes His children shine like Gold and i will tell you this...id rather have Jesus than anything of this earth 🌳🌾🌿🌳🌾🌿🌳🌾🌿🌳🌾🌿🌳

Yeah! Time to break out and dust off the vinyl! I didn't know he was so tender-hearted I'm certain people find healing of their souls just listening to him speak. This is what a Christian musician should be. I wanted to tour and sell albums when I was in my 20s, but the Lord said no. I think I now know why.
Love this lovely gentleman a very humble servant of Almighty God of Heavens and earth YHWH. HE IS so PRECIOUS man. Wonderful patience winderful forgiveness. The nail in a shoes of a person that hurt him alone. But by the grace of Jesus Christ can save n forgive one another Amen. Glory be to our Almighty God in the highest.
