Took me a long while to realize that while Kratos told Freya and Mimir about what happened to his wife and daughter, he didn't mention his mom. Kratos stopped Baldur from killing his own mother, but he did the same, albeit in self defense. Both Freya and Kratos' mom suffered greatly at the hands of their husbands, as did their sons

I've always interpreted Callisto telling Kratos something along the lines of "your father is a God of Olympus" and not directly Zeus because she was still scared of the curse yet wanted to tell him. That's why he's still surprised when Athena tells him in God of War 2.
Actually, this scene from Ghost of Sparta is a re-telling of the same events seen on "The birth of the beast", an extra unlockable video from God of War 1. So it was God of War 2 the one that "messed up" that particular detail with the retconing of how Kratos found out who his father was.

However, there's a clip of Cory Borlog literally saying he doesn't care about that clip and that's why he had Athena tell Kratos about Zeus. So that's at least how I rationalize the inconsistency Cory created

It's very anti-climatic the way it was revealed. If we ever get remakes that would be a change i would really like, keeo the dialogues but have kratos not reacting to that information, just keeping a straight face. That would be pretty cool

Does anyone agree with me that there should be an anime series based off the god of war comics like DC/wild Storm which takes place before kratos became a servant of Aries and it is focused on his wife and daughter and also the barbarian King you can also do this for the God of war fallen God comics and then you can include the prequel comics before God of war 2018 and I'm a sucker for a good-looking anime and I really hope Santa Monica does this
