Na the eng voice talent is best in this anime. It's Night City, Corpo America. The aesthetic of this world was built to represent the worst America can become since the early 90s so it translates beating eng. Just like when I watch Fate it translates best in Japanese with sub.
Something that gets me is how fast he vanishes. Don't even get a moment of fading or anything it just instantly reminds you of the reality of the situation.
As soon as Lucy told David to make sure he stays alive I instantly said to myself "Oh great is this gonna be another Akame ga Kill" and oh boy was I right.
i didnt even need to watch the later eps, when i heard that line i kinda just went "oh good so now one of them gotta die huh" 💀 and as the show progressed it got obvious who aint gonna make it

David’s death didn’t make me cry. Dude stood up to smasher, he accomplished his goals, he went out like a legend and he knew it. What fucked me up is the fact he left Lucy all alone. He got her to the moon, but it felt so empty…
I don’t know what to feel anymore. The cyberpunk world has no happy ending, where ever she goes there won’t be a paradise or someplace peaceful. Like take our real world for example, when we want peace and serenity, we go to countries like Switzerland or Netherlands or Iceland, everything there is so beautiful. But in the cyberpunk world, everything is pretty much technology and wastelands, the moon is pretty much the last place. That’s what makes cyberpunk f*cked up by also very amazing. I feel so bad for lucy, if I was in her position I wouldn’t even know where to go anymore, no more sanctuary.

I loved this series, it really does portray the distopian aspect of Cyberpunk, as Dexter Shawn says "Live a quiet life or go out in a blazing glory" David did exactly that. It's portrayed extremely well from Trigger and I'm real happy to see if they are making a second season based on the "Legends" of Night City like Morgan Blackhand or Spider Murphy.
If they do that I hope they choose another studio to create "legends". To me edgerunners is a masterpiece. I don't remember the last time i felt so much emotions watching a show. Yes, I would like to see more, but it's perfect as it is, 10 fast chapters full of emotions and epicness.
The show doesn't need a second season. It was David's story, and that's over. If anything, they should make a new show. "Cyberpunk: Night City Legends" or something. That way they can explore new stories and maybe even a different art style without being directly linked to Edgerunners.

This story hit like a truck. The failed not failed dream and loneliness is so poignant. I cannot think of anything close to the haunting this did to me. She had her dream but the dream wasn't fully there because of David not being there. The loneliness fully hits her in this moment. The world before her quite literally and the only thing she really ever wanted is gone. Truly gone. The writing here is top teir.

The endi g didn't make me cry, but it was still heartbreaking and beautifull. It gave me the kind of emotional damage that locks that into your mind and you stay with that for a while, wishing for a different ending even if it is already perfect.
Yup lucy and falco are the only ones who survive, and in game if you go at the megabuilding where David lives you can start the quest in which falco ends up giving you david's mom jacket
In the end it become something "I wished I didn't watch", but not because it's bad but because it's way too good... it's just, I don't want David to be dead

How he dissapears on beat when the lyrics say "so long nice to know you I'll be moving on" And it pans back to her. Such a beautiful ending, the finality and open endedness of it all. I want to hear more of the story, but not knowing the rest of her story mirrors real life so perfectly. One of the best series I've ever had the pleasure of watching.
I haven't watched an anime for a long time since DBZ and Gundam days, really liked the theme of Cyberpunk, so I gave the show a chance, and man I had no idea how much the show would hit me in the feels like that, Felt so bad for the characters as it seems they never had a chance from the start

Even after watching it 46 times over and over it always feels brand new The attachment the emotional rollercoaster of the story, and every and each time i hit ep 10 and the creidts role in it always leaves me feeling empty inside.
Night City was ultimately what allowed these characters and story to shine so bright. Unfortunately, that same universe basically guarantees a heart wrenching ending.
Guys, I've gone through thousands of movies, TV series, animations, you name it. Some really hit home, stirred up a ton of emotions - a few even managed to squeeze out a reluctant tear somewhere. But then there's anime... I feel like the whole team behind it (plot, animation, music, sound and so on) possesses some kind of mysterious, unknown art to coolly, unapologetically and ruthlessly strike at the very core of the viewer's soul. Can someone explain to me how, even after 3 weeks, just a passing glance at that scene makes your eyes well up? After 4 weeks? 2 months? I don't have the answer, but something's definitely not right here. It's real respect to creators.
The really sad part is that, that David we see at the end is real. It's clips from the brain dance Lucy recorded when she was in the brain dance with David. She then took them and made a kinda AI of david
@@JJJJJJJJJAAAAAA well it's not really an ai, more just an image construct. Also we know in the lore of cyberpunk that you can edit brain dance data and then turn it into an AR experience. So Lucy probably did that based off of how David looks in the shot and stuff like that
This ending always hits hard, and it hits harder when you find David's grave in the game, Lucy put "you didn't take me to the moon, but you were there with me"

Gurren lagann is so similar to edgerunner, in almost every way. The pacing is much better for gurren lagann, it has 27 episodes.

This story hit like a truck. The failed not failed dream and loneliness is so poignant. I cannot think of anything close to the haunting this did to me. She had her dream but the dream wasn't fully there because of David not being there. The loneliness fully hits her in this moment. The world before her quite literally and the only thing she really ever wanted is gone. Truly gone. The writing here is top teir.

The endi g didn't make me cry, but it was still heartbreaking and beautifull.
It gave me the kind of emotional damage that locks that into your mind and you stay with that for a while, wishing for a different ending even if it is already perfect.

How he dissapears on beat when the lyrics say "so long nice to know you I'll be moving on" And it pans back to her. Such a beautiful ending, the finality and open endedness of it all. I want to hear more of the story, but not knowing the rest of her story mirrors real life so perfectly. One of the best series I've ever had the pleasure of watching.

I haven't watched an anime for a long time since DBZ and Gundam days, really liked the theme of Cyberpunk, so I gave the show a chance, and man I had no idea how much the show would hit me in the feels like that, Felt so bad for the characters as it seems they never had a chance from the start

Cyberpunk The Anime edition: P A I N
Cyberpunk edgerunner was one of the hardest animes for me to watch because of how emotional it was
Even after watching it 46 times over and over it always feels brand new
The attachment the emotional rollercoaster of the story, and every and each time i hit ep 10 and the creidts role in it always leaves me feeling empty inside.
Night City was ultimately what allowed these characters and story to shine so bright. Unfortunately, that same universe basically guarantees a heart wrenching ending.

Guys, I've gone through thousands of movies, TV series, animations, you name it. Some really hit home, stirred up a ton of emotions - a few even managed to squeeze out a reluctant tear somewhere. But then there's anime... I feel like the whole team behind it (plot, animation, music, sound and so on) possesses some kind of mysterious, unknown art to coolly, unapologetically and ruthlessly strike at the very core of the viewer's soul. Can someone explain to me how, even after 3 weeks, just a passing glance at that scene makes your eyes well up? After 4 weeks? 2 months? I don't have the answer, but something's definitely not right here. It's real respect to creators.

The really sad part is that, that David we see at the end is real. It's clips from the brain dance Lucy recorded when she was in the brain dance with David. She then took them and made a kinda AI of david

@@JJJJJJJJJAAAAAA well it's not really an ai, more just an image construct. Also we know in the lore of cyberpunk that you can edit brain dance data and then turn it into an AR experience. So Lucy probably did that based off of how David looks in the shot and stuff like that
