  • Video #252 - a sleeper class train journey from Jaisalmer in Rajasthan to Delhi Junction (Old Delhi) by the 14088 Runicha Express. This journey was a special experience - journey in biting cold in Sleeper class!
The train operates via Jodhpur Jn, Merta Jn, Rewari Jn, Gurgaon and Delhi Cantonment. Although a substantial part of the journey was in the darkness, the journey from Rewari to Delhi Jn was during the day! Sit back, watch and enjoy!

Those sheets on the windows might be to replace broken glass window. Delhi Metro has made these suburban EMU's redundant.

Nice capture. One thing I noticed is in Mumbai, the city limits start beyond 60 kms from the city centre. You can see multi storied apartment buildings beyond Panvel, Kalyan, Vasai etc. But, from your video, it seems that it is not the case in Delhi. I did not find any such buildings even within 30 kms from Delhi. Ofcourse I have not visited Delhi. So, I may be wrong.

Mumbai only has space to grow vertically whereas Delhi/Bengaluru/Hyderabad grow horizontally. Lot of place around the existing city to grow.

I think Mumbai is the only city where you enter straight into the city terminus without any major curves.
