Thank you. That was wonderful. I like how you sectioned out the video into topics. As someone who does longer docs, I was thrilled to know Paragraph Styles can also help me keep image placement consistent. One thing I'd still like to know is how I can get text to run alongside an image that only goes halfway across the page, or a shaped image. Thanks for sharing your insights.
Hi, everything ok? Could you give me a little help, please? My images stretch to the full width and height of the page (Kindle only) when exported to a reflowable layout. How could I make the images remain the correct size, without distortion, could you guide me? I can't find any content about this specific configuration! Thank you in advance for your help! And congratulations on your channel!!
Thank you for the kind words! So, yes, on the code end, your height and width have been set to 100%. You need 100% width with height of "auto." This will maintain aspect ratio. You may be able to fix this via InDesign by making sure the image fitting options are set to "Fit Content Proportionally."
Hi, thanks for a great video! Do you happen to have one that explains how to do a TOC from indesign files that are set up as individual chapters? Thanks
Wonderful stuff! How do you move the margins (.375in) and the Text frame (at the same time??) to give you more inside margin, to bend the book for a better read? An Inherited ID project! - Thanks in advance...
Hi Becky, can you show how to place images that are preceded by a title and followed by a caption and source, making sure that the spacing is always consistent throughout the document?
Usually, the image will spread all the way to the edges of the frame, provided the image itself is large enough. If not, open it in Photoshop and increase the width to the width of your frame.
I'm designing a chapter book, and my paragraph/scene dividers are being exported with a stroke, when there's not supposed to be one. Any ideas why this is happening? Your tutorials are amazing and have saved me so much angst!
Check a couple of things: 1. Make sure they don't have a character style which is applying something. 2. Check that they don't have a "border" or "fill" in the paragraph style. 3. Check your settings for "Rule Above" and "Rule Below." 4. Check you don't have "Paragraph Shading" applied.
Why did your image get anchored automatically but mine didn't? I don't see the anchor image? When I hit return on the text above my image, mine doesn't move, yours does.
What about the text wrap? Has it been set to "jump object"? Also, is your image falling at the bottom of a page and kind of hanging off? That can cause issues sometimes.
You're at the top of your game and helping me get better with each video! Thank you, Becky!
You are so welcome!
If anyone does better tutorials on this subject than you, I would be very surprised. Thanks for all your work.
Thanks for the kind words!
Your knowledge and teaching style is so so good. You are a treasure.
Thank you so much 😊
Thank you Kayla, for sharing!
You really have the best tutorials out there. Thank you so very much for them!
Aww, thanks! You're welcome!
This is very helpful. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!

I wish text wrapping was better in InDesign. (This is one thing that Affinity Publisher has on InDesign. It does text wrapping much better.)
Thank you!
Welcome!

Try using File>Adjust Layout
That may keep your text frames "locked" to the margins.
@@beckysgraphicdesign Thank you!
Kayla ...
Thanks for the Help .... I daily watch your eBook Design video ....
Can we Handle Master pages in eBook design.
No, Master page settings do not carry over to eBooks.
❤❤
NIce video mam. What if I have a full page image? Where do I anchor it to? and I want it reflowable. Thanks
Unfortunately, there is not really a way to do a full-page image on a reflowable eBook, although this is possible in a fixed format eBook.
Hi Becky, can you show how to place images that are preceded by a title and followed by a caption and source, making sure that the spacing is always consistent throughout the document?
You should be able to achieve that with "Space Before" and "After" and Keep Options!
That’s really great but any way to get that image to fit to frame width?

@@beckysgraphicdesign omg it worked!! Not sure which one-I did all of them at once, lol, but it did the job! THANK YOU
You're welcome!!!

Try playing with the Anchored Object settings. You probably need to switch it to "Above Line" instead of "Inline."
@@beckysgraphicdesign Thanks for the effort but switching to "Above Line" won't work either.
