Mishima to me feels like Midoriya from MHA, both starting out as soft-spoken, timid boys to confident and reliable young men, they actually feel like real people compared to their more bombastic and out-there cast members.
I could see that in some form. I think when you get more into it, they both tackle the underdog idea fairly differently, but both wind up growing in similar ways.
