A short test-run of another engine that will be powering the Q-Tee in its 5th video. Apologies!!! The prop used is a 7X3 Windsor...NOT a 7X4 as noted in the video. Sorry for the mistake!
How does run time on diesel compare to glow with equivalent tanks? Are you running the standard glow crank or have you changed over to a diesel crank? Another nice video?
I haven't enough personal experience really to say, but have often heard about their fuel efficiency. While I don't have the actual numbers, we had a guy and his son show up at one of the S.M.A.L.L. Fly-In events near Little Rock with a Sig "Senorita". Renamed "Stinkerita" for its diesel engine, it flew for a LONG time on what I think was a 4oz tank, and they were passing their transmitter around, having pilots sign Stinkerita's log book! Yes, back in the day, I bought two of the Davis cranks, and have one in this engine. Hopefully, I'll get enough flying done to get a n idea.Thank You for your comment!
At this point, I have another full quart of Davis Diesel Fuel, and a couple "mystery cans" of diesel. This is sort of a novelty for me, so I don't typically go through a lot of fuel, and MAY try mixing it at some point.
Wow, that little guy was singin' with the 7x4!!
HEY! Sorry! It was a 7x3...NOT a 7x4 as noted in the video!!
Sorry about that...me and numbers ain't always friends!🙄🙄🙄
cant wait 2 c this on the q tee
Yeah, it's gonna be fun! Just got to get me some "Q-Tee conditions"...like...the wind taking a bit of a break!😁
Thank you for your comment!

Looks like an old can of Davis fuel was used, do you have a current source of fuel?

Does it include heaters or is it not needed?
No, it starts totally from compression.
wow !!
It has to be a well-designed engine, and that's what our engines should be.
Thank you.
I hate to break it to ya... but I think you have and oil leak. 😁
