I played an older desert strike with my friends and were messing around and it was crazy the smack talk from the randoms in the game. Completely blindsided me that someone would smack talk on a custom map like that.

Perfect timing i've faced this case last time and tried ghost but it didn't go well.
positioning of your units can matter in quite a few other cases as well.
What about the Tychus going into mass Cannonballs? They look like broken:
A lot of HP; Huge damage; Mass stun; Each attack increases their damage and attack speed; Chance to deal massive damage.
Giant flying laser bathtubs. Thats what Hyperion are apparently.
As fun as it is to see you win, you should put out some videos where you are up against a counter. I like to see more player knowing how deal with a bad situation instead of knowing how just to roll an opponent. I fear for the meta Incursus. Still love the video just concerned.
That's the thing, a hard counter your best bet is honestly, let them roll the build that is wrecking you and then quit. Is it bad manners? Maybe. But in these situations you are going to lose no matter what you do
Fuck that, I'm not here to watch a 30-40min game of endless back and forth, super boring. Love it when a team rolls the other, easy win and short vids.
hey there! not sure if you recognize my name :D im that tychus player that keeps getting matched against you, but have yet to get pair with you. the problem with this tychus is the silly tychus first opener, and hes trying to rattle his way out. blaze spam is the way to deal with this counter of yours. the tar is gross mitigation and great uptime. hes also got tons of hp to soak those opening barrages. then if you really want to shine them on you can t3 upgrade them.
tychus players, if you are gonna deploy something blindly, drop a blaze, he hard counters most things, and holds his own against the handful of others.
Blaze only holds against the magrail, outside of that. Blaze dies fairly fast to just marauders and libs. Not to mention the prohibitive cost of tychus units, going to t3 and getting a 350 mineral ability. If a nova catches a hint that tychus is teching, she can tech too and stomp you harder.
@@astupidlylongnamethatstoolong absolutely wrong on all accounts my friend. blaze is 650 to deploy and doesn't need any of his upgrades, you can deploy a blaze every round.
he does just fine en masse against marauders. you guys always ignore the tar. that's a 75% attack speed reduction with about a 75% uptime. I believe its 11 second duration, 14 second cd.
I never said race to t3. I even didn't say to bother with it, I said if you really wanted to shine them on. personally I only do it if they start going libs and tanks, which does happen when they realize the marauder spam doesn't work against mass blazes.
blazes also do aoe damage, that's also always ignored.
and ps: I beat incursus in this exact matchup once.
but yes this is how you deal with a dumb/new tychus player. which is almost all tychus players.
@@JamesMichaelDoyle One, you can spread units to mitigate slow from oil
Two, they are armoured. Thus taking bonus damage on top of magrail
Three, they are in the end, a melee unit. Evem with aoe, it can be mitigated in a way that only 2/3 tops are taking any form of blaze aoe.
Four, Nova Marauders are one of the better hp to mineral cost units even boasting a slow on hit, thus making it harder for blaze to ever matter.
Five, oil upgrade cost mineral, not alot, but it adds up.
Six, the reduction to 30 damage max is although useful, never worth it due to eventual libs and the fact is that its stuck at t3. Making it not ever as worth against marauders.
@@JamesMichaelDoyle and yes, while dumb tychus players always lose. The fact that of the matter is, Panzerfaust on his team there. Is a beast, with more than a thousand games under his belt, wrote the guides for tychus vs every commander, and is a tychus main in direct strike. Nova absolutely roflstomps a tychus even when nova just knows what to do.
@@JamesMichaelDoyle you've also mentioned tanks, tanks are the worst thing to make as nova vs tychus. The main reason being cannonball permastun.
Why cannonball permastun? Simple for a few reasons
1) Cannonballs are not armoured, thus do not take bonus damage which adds up in a little to no movement micro game
2) Permastuns > Mitigation. At some point, taking no damage is always better than taking any. Thats just facts.
3) Critical response system, at some point. Having cannonballs survive is very disruptive. Which does matter a whole lot as it means double the hp on a unit and immunity for 5 seconds while they get free hits in. And if nova fucks up somewhere, getting the attack speed upgrade makes them one of the hardest hitting outlaw pre t3 tychus.
4) while they're a melee unit, they do not have the same shortcomings of blaze. They have a gap closer, Blaze has to crawl his ass up. Taking more damage in the process even if you pre oiled or oiled in the perfect time.

Can you do a video on Raynor v Zag? It really feels like Raynor loses period to Zagara
Zag ground will overtake the raynor ground. No ifs buts or maybes. The ideal raynor army vs zag will only build vulture ground, and Hyperion with battlecrusier + viking. Early game will consist of using mass vultures and viking force you need to reach late game hyperion with only those two starting units. SPIDER MINES are key
Can you magnetize Swarn missile in forts?
Are you sure creeper host isn't aoe vs air? What are you basing that statement on?
They are not AoE vs Air specifically in direct strike. Basing it on the fact they don't splash air at all. They splash do splash ground though.
Nova vs Tychus is one of the most one sided matchups in the entire game. You just spam Marauders and Liberators and there is nothing Tychus can do but alt+F4

No. Too expensive for what they do.

Doesn't everybody beat tychus?
Nova(Marauder/Lib), Alarak(bit more complicated, but mostly Wrathwalker/Vanguard/into Mothership), Kerrigan(just spam broodlords). Artanis Tempest spam is rough but beatable. Dehaka is beatable, but impaler spam requires good micro to deal with. Pretty much everyone else can be beaten without too much issue if you have some micro. Some like Karax and Raynor get stomped into the ground by a Tychus who does any amount of micro.
not really. tychus have a very strong counter strat power but problem is to do so he become 1 dimensional too. like blaze vs ground, vega vs air, sam vs high value target,aoe combo with tychus and nux. it make him really strong vs 1 guy and dogshit vs other. so that why tychus go for either full ground mode with vega support or sam spam with nux support and some tank.
