I came here looking for an answer to my question: Can I submerge the IP lid because (for me) it is not crystal clear in the user manual. Thanks for the answer at 2:29!
I love my new instant pot pressure cooker, but the sealing ring soaks up all the smells. I've done delicious soups and chillis, but the smell does not wash out. I've been hand washing it. What do you recommend? Onions are tough when it comes to smell and plastic/ silicone. I have the same problem with my pyrex glass containers. thanks for quick tips.
I just bought the IP Duo SV at Costco and can not remove the Anti-Block Shield. Does it come off on this model? I noticed @2:11 that the shield in the video is much closer to the rim of the lid that mine is.
I just got the 6 quart 7 In 1 duo also had the same problem getting the anti block shield off. Surprisingly enough, I just saw a video on how to get that bad boy off....lol. once again, RUclips saved the day😁
My pot wouldn't release the pressure after a meal was finished. I looked it up and it said the steam vent is clogged. If I clean the release valve as shown in this video...is that going to take care of it? Anything else I need to do? Thanks in advance.
Yes, cleaning the steam release valve should take care of it. If it does not solve the problem, we'd be happy to lend a hand if you want to contact our Customer Care team. We can do some troubleshooting or see if warranty coverage is needed. If you're interested, please contact us via the following link: www.instanthome.com/customer-care-center
In the video they just rinse the floating valve, ring, and etc in soapy water and wipe dry. Is that how it is to do it? No need to rinse the soap off with clean water?
I used a butter knife to pry it off, which worked, but made the shield fly, bounce off of a wall and land who knows where...I really searched for it, ended up cleaning under my stove since I thought maybe it was under there. (6 1/2 hours later) I was about to order a replacement when I found it on a small shelf that is over my sink.
Here is the video on how to remove the anti block shield. It can be difficult at first, but over time it gets easier to remove. ruclips.net/video/Q6oHoC6hbFI/видео.html As for the steam release parts, the valve simply pulls right off and can be cleaned by hand or placed on the top rack of the dishwasher.
Thanks for the feedback, J-Vincent! For the Air Fryer Lid, please only use a soft, damp cloth to clean the heating element and its surrounding areas. The Multi-Level Air Fryer basket can be hand-washed or placed in the dishwasher. How to clean the actual unit from inside once the inner pot is removed?

Thank you for the video please guide is there any recommended cleaning agent for cleaning of heating plate?
You can wipe it with a slightly damp cloth or sponge.
What is the best way to clean the area that the top locks onto?
A lot of people use a foam brush.
I can see brown stains on the lid , the place where the sealing ring fits. Is it normal? Or any defect?
Is there a video on how to clean the "Zest rice and grain" lid?
Do you do this for the lid every time you have cooked in it?
Yes! This will help to ensure that your pot functions as intended everytime, and it will also prolong the life of your Instant Pot. Happy Cooking!
Is the sealing ring dishwasher safe
Yes

Try putting both thumbs on it and pushing toward the edge of the lid. It should pop off.

Try putting a wash cloth over it, and use your thumbs to push towards the edge of the lid. This is the only way I am able to get mine off.

I'm in the UK and cannot get any Instant Pot authorised sealing rings at all, as I have the mini version. There are none available.
Hello Ruth. Here is the link to our UK website for the Instant Pot sealing rings: instantbrands.co.uk/shop-all-products/sealing-rings/
@@InstantPotOfficial thanks, I did look on there but the 3L ones are still out of stock :(

You should wash all parts the same way you would wash anything else.
How often do i need to clean it, though?
You should clean it after every use.
Ah ha, now I own you anti-block shield

No matter how much force I applied, I couldn't remove the Anti-Block shield. Also, the video does not show how to remove/clean the steam release parts

OK but what about the more difficult air frying lid?
