Stronger than When I Was Flesh, final part from 3:20+ is so stable and agressive you almost verified how Frost plays, maybe a one signle bpm faster than guitars, because is sounds even more evil and faster, it is solid mindfuck to play like this in these inhuman tempos for long perion of time. Frost is great composer, parts played by him always sound so evil, but when a drummer starts to cover some 1349 song he will be instantly punished by the tricky patterns. That hi hat/kick switch in 3:43 sound so good, you played well. What a simple lick played alone at rehearsal room, but in song context it can ruin the feel the end part of the song, which has to have most power and be devastating in all ways. Glad to see good 1349 cover. Anyway i do not think we need to see just "Celestial Deconstruction" cover, there are plenty of very good 1349 songs.
For non-drummers(even for drummers is this imagination so unreal): try to imagine, that Frost plays whole playlist like that, in 2005 i've seen 1349 they played almost whole Liberation with a few Beyond songs. With literally no space between songs. In a half of the gig it was hot like hell everywhere, Frost has to plays rest of the show with a cold wet towel on his back. Madness. Last song if i remember clearly was Evil Oath 😀the song every drummer wants to play like a last one, i just jizzed in my pants. Pure hell.
Thank you for your words sir. Indeed there is a very small border between holding the power bar and losing it due to cramping up and getting stiff. Easy wreckage for the wrist when executed wrong (have been there:). Frost is indeed an amazingly twisted composer with shitloads of power.
