Why are you so confused? Do you think moustaches and beards are the same thing? They aren't. Steve Harvey has a moustache but no beard. I currently have a beard but no mustache. You see, they are two different things. It isn't rocket science.

It still confuses me to this day that a mustache and a beard are not the same thing in English speaking countries. In my country a mustache is just a sub-category of a beard. I mean, both of them are just facial hair with a different trim.
they are not the same place on the body so they don't count as the same thing. that's the issue. the judges can't accept one as the other. so you have to say the correct one.

This was wrong on Family Feud's side. Mustache and beard should have been classified into one single answer as "facial hair." Because when mustache is given as an answer and it's not there, everyone assumes all facial hair is not there. Not fair.
