Loved Hogues since I was a 10yo peeking through a doorway to watch his show as it was my bedtime. Those skits were, at there time, hilarious. Bring back Leo Wanker. I'm sure he's doing it right in the American's lap without many of them knowing it in this stand-up. Which is a great discovery - I've never seen Hoges at this age do a stand-up in the US. Still flying the AU flag and selling fosters er larger, To the US. I bet a certain Mr Packer had plenty to do with this - well - I'll call it - assignment. My father told us us kids that he would rather fight with the Aussies in the Pacific than anyone else. He stated that they were strong nosed & fearless. What most of the world did not understand was that if they did not fight; they would now speak JAP.
That is why we went all out to distribute American LEND LEASE. Look it up children. We lent battle materials to Aust & would never ask for it back. My Dad arrived in Aust to support the Mauri. The indigenous being killed off . Well the lot of you will not understand. It is no longer taught in schools. Become a historic researcher & learn for yourself. Thanks for listening to me. This is true.

Please fix the above, the language of Nippon is Japanese, not what you scribbled so insultingly about what is now one of
      our most loyal allies.
The Mauri is what the Roman Empire called the Berbers. You are referring to the Maoris.
Your dad did not arrive in Australia to support them, they live in New Zealand.
How and why was a individual Yank like your dad supposed to help them?
It makes no sense. Look, watching a WW 2 movie and 4 History Channel specials doesn't make one a "historic researcher".
      Read some books.
You want to compliment Aussies? Look up what they did on the Kokoda Trail, they were legends.
When American troops eventually joined them later in the campaign, MacArthur was too arrogant to listen to what the
Aussie vets had learned, so GI's and Aussies died that otherwise might have lived had he listened as to what tactics
      and when the Japanese employed.
Dugout Doug had blood on his hands, some of it dinki di true blue fair dinkum Aussie.

@@grumpybastard9151 from a born and bred Queenslander I'd like to pay my respects to your Dad Mate 😊. A number of my uncles served in the war. My uncle Bert who I loved dearly was buried alive after a Japanese shell went off beside the trench he was in. Fortunately his mates were there to dig him out immediately and save his life. Dad's uncle flew a fighter in England during the blitz . I admire the bravery and effort of all the troops and service people and people behind the scenes who worked tirelessly.
I used to stay at my best mates place at Newfarm in Brisbane all the time. Just down the end of his street was the Brisbane riverfront with all the new walkways where the wharfs and jetties used to be where the US navy ships used to tie up during the war when they landed in Brisbane. Maybe not all of them but certainly some. There are signs along the way on your walk giving the WW2 history and showing where the ships docked. I think your father may have visited New Zealand as well maybe, as the Maori people are the original New Zealand people and amazing warriors in both world wars. I have known many over the years and most are wonderful people. My uncle Bill who served in North Africa married a Maori tribal Princess. She was the absolute love of his life. When people in his family tried to criticise her and put her down uncle Bill told them to leave his house and not to come back. It was a big deal just after the war. But uncle Bill told them if they couldn't accept her as an equal part of the family, not to bother coming anywhere near his property. They went on to build a huge citrus orchard together. There kids, grandkids, and great grandchildren still work the farm. My aunty Dorothy was an amazing classy lady and it killed my uncle when she died. A year later he passed away. He was a strong man with a strong sense of love and loyalty to his wife and family. I only knew him for a very short time but he was always welcoming to us kid and made time to talk to us and make us laugh. If you were his guest you were always treated with warm hospitality and respect and he expected the same in return. We used to run a little wild up there. Out as kids delivering hay to massive cattle. My cousin using a pillow to prop themselves up so they could see over the steering wheel of the farm ute (pickup truck) or out with a shotgun and 22 shooting vermin or feral pests. Things made proper sense back then before everyone decided to be professionally offended by everything. We were raised to be a little resilient and physically tough. Mum used to soak our cuts in kerosene to kill the germs😂 Anyway Mate I hope I haven't bored you but your comments brought back great memories. I hope this finds you well😊😊 cheers mate.and take care
