Great vid & commentary! You even got the commuter rail coming into Malden! Malden Center to Haymarket. Took this route to my dad's every weekend for years. Ah! Happy Days! 😁
I live in Malden and take the orange line to Green St for work. I missed you by a bit! Thanks for the video! Malden is such a nice town and very mixed cultures.
I grew up in Queens and L.I. Was a Yankees fan since 1976 or so. Why the f---k would I root for the goddamned Red Sox? That's like me Rooting for the Expos. ???? Give me a break. I'll admit though that the Red Sox are often a very good team. I loved the Yankees of 1977-80, that was the heyday for me. Reggie Jackson.
1:07, 7:31 Windows 98 Ding. 😆 1:09 Card Invalid! 🤣 The subway cars look modern and clean. 👍 This was an enjoyable ride aside from the annoying sound effects and the weird dude at the platform. Thank you for sharing this subway ride, AK! 🤗
0:56 Clean and nice looking Subway Station 🙂These subway rides are always so enjoyable and relaxing and this wasn’t an exception on those 😎Thank you for sharing this subway ride A K🙂👍!!!
Except when they move at a snails pace and suddenly stall because of maintenance issue then its no longer enjoyable. Worse if there is no air conditioner.
Sullivan Square is also part of the Charlestown section of Boston, so that is technically the first stop in Boston. As for that Red Sox "fan", he just looked and sounded like he had...issues. And, addressing a prior comment about the Red Sox being the only thing that the city has to offer, well that's laughable. There's much more to see and do in Boston besides seeing a baseball game. Museums, music, art, shopping, historical sites, the Freedom trail, parks and gardens, waterfront, harbor cruises... Also, there are 3 main train stations in Boston - North Station, South Station, and Back Bay Station. The Orange Line serves North and Back Bay; the Red Line serves South Station. The last time North and South Stations were linked was in the 1930s via the Atlantic Avenue El. Current plans calls for extending the Blue Line west to Charles/MGH station to form a Red/Blue connector (the only two lines that don't intersect.) There are no plans at the moment to directly connect North and South Stations unless the North/South rail conenctor tunnel is ever built. But that would be for commuter rail and Amtrak - not subway services.

As a Native New Englander (Boston Born) and Celtics fan I just have to say sorry you had that encounter. We do get pretty tribalistic with our teams and I admit we are kinda spoiled with all the championship we won. That stranger was probably from either Southie, Charles Town or Dorchester (I’m thinking more Charles Town). You should visit Lexington, MA a nice town lots of history regarding the Revolutionary War. Lived there as a kid from 3 to 9 years old from the mid 80’s to very early 90’s.
Not really complicited going form the orange line to the South Starion. People doing it all the time, just one or two stops on the red line. It’s been about 70 years they were connected and the plan was to connect them as part of the central artery tunnel project, but it wasn’t. Who knows if and when that will ever be done now.
While in Salem take the trolly to Salem Willows a small amusement park with arcades, restaurants, park and restrooms! You can get off and on on the 😈 trolly? Say hello to the witches❤)
I live in Chelsea Ma 😊 You must be visiting your brother! Ck out Salem MA you can take commuter train 🚆 from NO. Station. 10 dollar unlimited pass on weekend. Wow!😊
Sorry, you had to deal with that guy. A Lot of people from Massachusetts are not like that, that was just rude. I live in Braintree MA which is part of the south shore. I guess some people from the north shore are a little rude.
Lol I was crammed in with them on the Red Line w/ no air conditioning the day of the Celtics victory parade. Everybody was screaming, hollering, sweaty and spilling their beer.
The reason Bostonians get so aggressive about the Red Sox is because that's literally the only thing the city has to do as a major attraction and staple point of the city. And if you think the Red Sox vs Yankees debate is bad in Boston, come down to CT. It's been an ongoing turf war for the last 3 generations. If you live west of I-91, it's Yankees turf and east of I-91 is Red Sox turf.
Nice new train! Such an improvement over those old run down subway cars! Thanks for the video, AK!!
You're welcome, I do enjoy the new trains!

That Red Sox fan was totally 💯 screwed up. I am a Red Sox fan and if I were there with you I would have told him off! Have fun!😎🇺🇸☘️

Yeah allot of Boston guys act like that. Ask Marky Mark
@@Des_ZeeOnly people from rough blue collar neighborhoods act like that.

@ActionKid Great video! Speaking of the DMV, I would love to see you ride the DC metro, especially a 7000 series train.

When you just came up from the T station. That was a Site seeing bus across the street.
I see!
There's pretty much universal agreement that the T will never use CRRC again for trains, given the production problems and delays.
Nice.there😊
In Ontario it's called the MTO the Ministry of Transportation Ontario.

was this after coming back from the cape?
A dingus encounter!
❤
As a bostonian, our subway system needs help. It needs a lot of work done to it.
Indeed, I arrive to a WWE Raw show late at TD Garden due to the T trains keeps stalling.
4:46 that wasn’t very nice of that guy

I feel like it’s people from neighborhoods where Whitey Bulger commit his crimes are always anal with their attitudes. Btw I live in Canton, MA.
shipping off to Boston
It doesn't matter what sport it is, 80% of sports fans who cheer for Boston teams act like that one guy lol

Why don't they start their own franchise in CT? How about the "CONNECTICUT CODS"? lol

@@ramencurry6672 It no different from saying Southerners are polite because they have Southern hospitality.
