After Muhammad Ghori's death in 1206, Aibak became the ruler of the territories in India and laid the foundation of the Delhi Sultanate.
He was known for his military campaigns, including the consolidation of power in northern India.

Aibak is considered the first Sultan of Delhi, ruling from 1206 to 1210.
