Yeah, was about to say....Lucas isn't an orphan, Flint survives....well, depending on how you interpret the consequence of pulling of the final needle anyway.
The "Who's Your Daddy?" bit has great potential for a future quiz. Samus has like five different characters who can claim to be her dad/father figure, and Kirby is quite possibly the spawn of an eldritch god.
Mewtwo technically also has multiple "dads", and if I remember correctly, the Donkey Kong in DKC/Smash Bros is actually the grandson of Cranky Kong, who is the original Donkey Kong from the arcade games, with DK Jr being "modern DKs" dad. It still would be an easy guess, but it's funny to think about.
Let's see, for Samus:
Her literal Human Dad (who died when Samus was 3)
Old Bird (or Oji-Chan in Japanese) who raised her on Zebes
Gray Voice (also a Chozo) who also raised her
the chozo from Dread (forgot name) who's DNA was infused with her when she was 3
I guess that leaves the baby Metroid, since that is now part of her DNA? That would make 5. Although that only counts for Fusion and Dread so far. Crazy stuff.

@@nemi9217 correct, though it was based on the early artwork which certainly looks like cybernetic legs. It was just a design choice and the original design team has stated they are meant to be metal boots.
@@flumppod5952 To be fair, the metal legs make logical sense when dealing with g-forces. Fighter pilots use pressure suits to deal with blood being drained from your brain and full on amputation is basically an extreme version of it.

One definition is "an undead creature with a reanimated human body" which shulk definitely is, as he is the reanimated "corpse" of Zanza, or Klaus, who is a human. Another one is "a person reanimated by witchcraft" which I would say godly powers could classify as witchcraft. So calling him a zombie isn't really wrong.

@@memoid1895 I would say so, yes. Zanza is quite literally a god, so that's the religious part of the definition covered. And the second half is technically optional, but "vow of obedience" is part of it, so Dickson would count for that even if optional.

Technically you don't need both parents to die to become an orphan. I was surprised too, but apparently only one parent has to die to be an orphan. Though US law requires an orphan to have lost both parents, and most people commonly go by that definition as well.

Just letting Little Z know. Snake is only considered to commit 1 war crime.. and even then it was only because he was 'DECLARED' a terrorist when he started Philanthropy with Otacon. But he never committed any terrorist acts only Espionage (which is only a Law Crime not a War Crime) which allowed them to fight off against the threat of Metal Gears around the world. AND Canonically he never really killed anyone he didn't have to. He was strictly a pacifist and only KO'd people and killed only when he deemed it necessary in the canon of MGS.
@Maria Yuri Only those who were threats to him. Canonically he doesn't kill any of the guards or anything. Just like the officers that face him. And killing isn't a war crime.
Edit: He did use a makeshift Flamethrower with Hairspray and a Lighter to harm Big Boss (he didn't end up killing him though cuz he somehow survived that) So that is a war crime too I guess!

About the Shulk discrepancy: the thing about him not being able to taste anything is false, it's just something Fiora says near the beginning of the game because he always says the same thing about her sandwiches
It's just a theory that because he's dead, he can't taste things, but that's clearly not true
It's that engineer mentality of his. Same reason he wasn't too worried about anyone's safety when the Monado was swinging around in Reyn's hand (simply because he knew the Monado couldn't harm any Homs).

You are correct, By definition Lucas is not an Orphan. At worst, his Father Flint was Negligent but that does not make him an Orphan. Despite what people think, Lucas actually only lost two people in his. His Mother Hinawa (Or Hinata depending on translation) and Claus which he technically kills (More like Clause kills him self using Lucas)

One of my biggest annoyances with Zack is his absolute refusal to learn anything about any of the characters, and this at least takes that ignorance (that admittedly, they all kinda have) and does something really fun with it!

Yeah, always kinda bugs me how adamant the Underdogs are about never learning game lore. Even if they don't care about the lore, they shouldn't assume that the audience doesn't care either.
I agree there. It sucks that the only thing that they care about is "haha funny moves in Smash Bros." (although I honestly don't lump Poppt1 into that. He seems like he at least cares about the characters, which is awesome)
And the fact that they assume that the entirety of the audience doesn't care about anything character related sucks a lot. Videos are supposed to be fun to watch, not aggravating

Lucas never lost his dad, His dad Flint just isn't home because he is always looking for Claus. Flint is very important to the story and is even playable.

Lucas still has his father. I knew Ken was supposed to be the answer but Lucas and his brother were literally there when their father freaked out and started attacking everyone after learning his with took a dragon fang right through her heart.
I know people don’t care about rpgs but damn, man just spoiled one of xenoblade’s biggest twists. And to answer about how he can’t taste vegetables but doesn’t like them, basically giving different character certain types of food will increase their affinity more and for Shulk, giving him veggies either decreases it or doesn’t increase it so it’s not really a canonical thing, but more of a gameplay thing
Shulk is scared of caterpillars because Reyn put a caterpillar in his shoe. I forget if he put the spider in Reyn's shoe afterwards, or if he put it there first.
Hopcat, Xenoblade was never supposed to see the light of day in America, so the Nintendo of Europe did the voices. Hence the British.
And then they just kept it going for 2 and 3 because it gave the series a flavour.

Yeah kinda weird how Ophelia Dusk is the latest canonical member of Marth's lineage. I know Kana can technically be the most recent member, but that's not canon by any means.

The fact that I know the lore of Fire Emblem, Star Fox and a few of the other games made this especially painful when people get it completely wrong... oh well, at least I know the right answers.

@@ArcherOfHoshido history has a lot of incest. You don't even have to look far, English Royal Family, historically, not like the after they figured out it was all the incest that was bad.
Also, you get Mist as a Valkyrie (she's early/mid teens) and Boyd/Oscar's little brother, Rolf (about Mist's age). Oh and Sothe, who reappears later in the sequel as a main character. However, the setting, well, it's before modern times. So, yeah, by today's standards it'd be considered a war crime, though not a literal army of child soldiers, just people who decided to fight who were in their earlier teens than is legal now.
I honestly laughed pretty hard at how oblivious Jordan was that Marth is an orphan, as someone who knows exactly what happened to his parents.
@@robmacher3253 oh yeah, like, I don't know of any protagonist from the FE series whose parents aren't technically dead and/or possessed by something around the beginning of their game. Latest are like midway through the game? And that's in 2 games I'm thinking of right now. Dunno if Hector/Eliwood/Lynn die in Roy's game or not or about any not released internationally.
Also, Corrin's whole *getting with siblings being gross* thing, 4 are half siblings and I *think* their real father is actually in question? I'm unsure, either way, they were like 3 or 4 when they were taken into the other 4 who barely saw them ever and aren't related by blood at all. So 4 potentially half-siblings and 4 that they aren't related to in any way, kinda like an adopted child getting with a sibling in that case. Either way, if I was adopted by a family and had a sister as hot as Camilla, you bet I'd get with her! She's a lesbian's dream!
@@hollamonm Eliwood actually remains alive by the end of Binding Blade, but he's the only father of any Fire Emblem protagonist as of now to survive for their entire game (a few mothers survive as well tho, like the mother of the Warriors protags, Eliwood's mother remains alive throughout Blazing Blade and Henriette in Heroes is still alive). Hector dies early in that game and Lyn is never mentioned due to being created for Blazing Blade but we know she's dead if she married Eliwood or Rath (as Roy's mother is said to be dead in supports and died shortly after giving birth to him if Wolt being Roy's "milk brother" is to be taken seriously, while Rath's entire tribe got slaughtered by Zephiel's war), Hector's wife is never seen or mentioned but is most likely dead by that point as well. As for the others from the Japan only games, Marth's mother gets killed by an evil dragon after his country is taken over, Marth's father dies on the battlefield (who killed him is a bit ambigious, the game claims Jiol took his life but Camus also claims to have been responsible for his death while Gharnef kills him in the manga and anime adaptations), Sigurd's dad bleeds out in front of his son right after giving him Tyrfing, Sigurd himself gets barbecued by Arvis (tho you probably knew that already since it's pretty hard to talk about Sigurd or Arvis without bringing that up), Deirdre gets killed by her possesed son and Leif's parents get skewered by Travant's army.
Ooh I can answer the Xenoblade question. The god becomes his life force and as a result, he isn’t completely a walking corpse. He’s only mostly a walking corpse.

Lucas ain't an Orphan, he got a dad which is one of the main protagonists of Mother 3. Having a single dad doesn't mean you're an orphan.

Technically, according to Mother 3, Flint would wake up and care for Lucas in the morning, leave to go to the mountains and look for Claus, return to pray with Lucas at his mother’s grave, and go into the mountains before returning in the evening to care for Lucas again.
He’s very much a part of Lucas’ life, just absent for a bit of the day, like an average school child day.
Byleth actually uses his great grandmother’s spine as a weapon.

The definition of a tentacle is very skewed, so the limbs could quite literally mean tentacles depending on what we go by. Like how many tentacles do octopuses have? None, they have 6 arms and 2 legs. Squids have two tentacles, two legs, and six arms.
It really broke my head when I found out about this, but we in general just refer to all the limbs as tentacles even though they’re not, so it’s fair to call the arms and legs of an inkling tentacles too. Sure why not
I agree that the wording of this question was weird. In swim form, inkling do have 10 tentacles, and in kid form they have 10 limbs, but 4 are their arms and legs. Its actually the same with octolings but 8 instead of 10 (except for on some hairstyles, such as the afro)

Yeah there is some incest in Fire Emblem. Although it's not as much as one would believe. Only FE4 has like 2 cases of this, and only 1 directly happened which is treated as an accident/mistake. And the Byleth thing kind of applies on one ending?

Is true that Arvis nor Deirdre were not aware of their relationship, however, the Loptr sect set the things on motion to happen by brainwashing Deirdre, so it wasn't accidental at all.

Just so everyone knows for the Shulk bit (spoilers for Xenoblade Chronicles)
Shulk doesn't taste anything RIGHT NOW, but he did until he was 4, age at which he got possessed by the god Zanza and lost taste. So he does eat veggies since he doesn't taste them anyways, but knows he doesn't like them from his childhood. On the question of who is an orphan, Lucas actually has a dad that is still alive unlike his mom who is dead. Also, his brother Claus is a spirit in story mode in super smash bros ultimate. So there were two answers.

Byleth's sword, the Sword of the Creator, is actually his great grandmother's spine as his grandmother is still alive. And for the Lucina question where it said Nephew in the question it should have been son. Lucina's father is Chrom, his sister is Lissa, her SON is Owain/Odin and his daughter is Ophelia

If so then I'd say literally and technically Sothis would be considered the grandma but I could be misremembering. I'll give you that the family tree is a bit of a mess though so even if it's a bit roundabout you could really make an argument for a lot of shenanigans (Sidenote: I thought I remembered something about the process she used to make Sitri and the other vessels where they were essentially clones of her or using her DNA or something, but I couldn't find any evidence aside from 1 article it seems unlike you, maybe I did trick myself into making something up.)

Fire Emblem question at the end could have a couple of answers actually. Lucian’s father is Chrom but from there it gets complicated. The answer shown here is sister Emmeryn, nephew Owain who then becomes Odin, then has Ophelia as a daughter. However, if you take sister to be Lissa then the Nephew could refer to any male child of Chrom who would be Lucian’s brother (also could work with Emmeryn but whatever). Since Chrom can marry Olivia, his son could be Inigo who would become Laslow and then have Soleil be Lucina’s father’s sister’s nephew’s daughter.
Alternatively, if the last step was “son” instead of “daughter”, then it REALLY gets wild. You could go Lucina to Chrom to Emmeryn then have the nephew be either Owain or Inigo and then have them marry female Robin to make Morgan as a son. Or you could wait for Owain and Inigo to cross over into Fates and get with female Corrin to make Male Kana, or Azura to get Shigure. If you allow for Selena instead of Inigo or Owain for the sake of Argument, that final step could be most of the gen 2 roster of Fates.
And they are all descended from Marth.
For the record, Marth's dad died in an ambush in a friendly country and Marth's mom was eaten by a dragon named originally Moses

To add on, Flint does return home at nights to take care of Lucas and leave in the morning to look for Claus. He’s not even really absent.

I know other people are already saying this, but I feel like I have to add my voice to the comments that Lucas is not an orphan. His mother does die, but his father is alive for the entirety of Mother 3.
Also, Shulk is more of a vessel rather than a zombie. He doesn't walk around all corpse-like looking for brains. I guess if by zombie Little Z means person who is actually not alive, then he is technically correct.
This is very true. Lucas' dad is alive and an active party member in mother 3 for early game.
I'd also like to bring up that Ike is not only illegal himself (he's 17 in FE9 when he has an army of children, one of whom is his sister,) but he also has the choice to slaughter an entire church once he does become legal later in the game, so, in the worst ending, Ike is guilty of murdering an entire church in cold blood.
The Church is a stretch, since the "canon" route is usually the best route and you miss a crapton of things killing the priests(dear lord, that map still makes me mad)
