this is why in real jeopardy you physically can't buzz until he says the entire question
I think you actually can but then you don't get the rest of the question. You only get the part that was already read.

In season 1 of jeopardy, you could actually buzz right away. But this turned into everyone doing the insta buzz strategy so the change was made for upcoming seasons of the show where you were locked out of buzzing until the question was completely read

If you end up doing a Nintendo themed Jeopardy again, do a category where you name three kinds of things (like red, rock, and winged) and they must figure out what they all have in common (in this case Pikmin). Also the show prevents instant buzzing by making the players have to wait until the full question is read out.

In Jeopardy, the contestants are not allowed to buzz in until the host has finished reading the question. You might want to implement this rule in the next one so Jackson can answer a few!

In the Jeopardy video game, if you try to buzz in too early you get locked out from buzzing in for that question. No idea how to incorporate that into this, but itd be funny to see zack getting repeatedly locked out from answering on most questions for trying to jump the gun
yeah they would need some kind of actual technology. Actually... that should totally be a shovelware title on the switch - "Buzzer" every player gets a joycon, they hit the buttons on go, and the screen tells you who mashed first. it would be so easy and I see so many youtubers doing stuff like this just trying to guess who buzzed first... wait... game builder garage

I did this last year for a social studies project and it went so well. I dressed up in a suit and had everything practiced and ready. When I presented the bell rang before I could finish so 30 questions were skipped. I still got a 100. Glad to see them having fun with something I’ve tried
