@@joelopezjl28 Because it's not a complete receiver, it can be shipped to your door. It's just a piece of tubing. Has nothing to do with serials unless your specific state has laws pertaining to it. The receiver also comes with a template, but keep in mind there are additional things you need to do to make the receiver legal for semi beyond just following the template.
@@provenancemachining yeah I understand the legal aspects of it like what I have to do to make it 922r compliant which I'm going to do but before i build it I'm thinking about getting all the parts that I need and registering into an SBR just to make it look more original
@@joelopezjl28 I'm gonna give you a pro builder tip here. The 922r bit is almost 100% bullshit, not realistically enforceable, and at best an addon charge because you got caught making an unregistered NFA item. You are not going to find enough US made parts unless you start making your own from scratch, not on a build like this. I doubt most builders even follow it, they just say so to avoid problems, so save yourself the headache and financial punch; just make sure the semi conversion is done right and get your stamp when you are ready to install your short barrel. These are very fun builds to show off at the range, for sure.
Well guys, giving me bad “good” ideas maybe , just maybe I’ll try this build I’ll see the other videos but I can’t resist to ask, the origin of the barrel?
SBR that thing, my guy. That's what I'm going to do for mine, can't stand that anteater looking barrel. Also, KP-Products on gunbroker is developing a new bolt and trigger system, so I'm going to get on his waiting list and give that a try! Bob Bowman is pretty much the last guy to bring these kits in from Poland, so if anyone can swing $512 for a kit, I'd say do it now before it's too late.
Oh I plan to SBR it! That’s why the muzzle end of the shroud isn’t welded on at the moment. Also totally agree...once these things are gone..I doubt we see anymore for a long time
@@ForestFirearms Supposedly Bowman is bringing in more kits (Hungarian) within the next 30-90 days, and those may actually be in better condition. My kit (in the video on my channel) is a partial match and definitely has some decent wear patterns to it. It is sanitized of most Russian markings, unfortunately, but luckily just barely missed the 1944 date stamp when they were welding over the receiver markings.
@@ForestFirearms For sure! It's crazy how 6 million of these things were made (considered a lot even by Russian standards) and we are down to one source at $500+ per kit.
@@provenancemachining in europe the kits are still dirt cheap i picked up 4 non cut up kits excluding barrel and bolt for 50e total altough recent law changes in germany made them a bit rarer

It's just a bolt chopped in half with blocking bar slot, FCG welded to semi only, and receiver modified to be keyed up with the lower and a blocking bar installed. Probably the easiest gun to convert, even more than an uzi.
This build is getting more and more rare these days. Congratulations on the accomplishment.
Good to see you back Ivan. Your videos are original 😇✌️
Thanks for sticking around!!
i have an idea to get rid of the barrel poking out buy another cut up shroud and weld it on it may make it look better!
Good on you for taking on such a task.. respect from Alaska!
New subscriber in WA here. Congratulations on the build! What's the music in the beginning and background?
Thanks for subscribing! It’s called Cantus Firmus Monks and I found it on the RUclips Copyright Free Library👍
Did you end up using a FAL recoil spring for the striker spring?
Cant wait to get started on mine just gotta get the receiver part idk where to order it from tho
stenparts.com for the main receiver, weld it up to the shroud that comes with your kit.

The hardest part for me will be the bolt :/
If you dont want to Form 1 it you should see if you could splice on some more shroud for the rest of the barrel!

its hard to find 7.62x25 right now only thing i can find is the yugo surplus that has hard primers
Same dude
im new to your channel , love the content , one question where did you find the barrel?
It was a place called Green Mountain Barrels I believe
Did you use the cold steel solutions receiver blank?
Kept us fucken waiting!
what type of welding did you use to weld it back together? cause im trying to find out whats best for welding my kit back together
I can't say this was a good idea because I'm horrible at welding but I used a stick welder of a friends...but there might be better options out there
What equipment did you use to cut the Bolt to make it a slam fire design ?
That’s the hottest thing I’ve seen today. Can you give info about the build parts kit?

Can you shed some tight to me im doing the same thing. Spring ect. And help would be appreciated
jesus where tf have you guys been?
Life has become way busier in the last couple years...combine that with 2020 and the wildfires and we end up where we are now😂
@@ForestFirearms y'all good?
Ya..it was a close shave for a bit though
Really sucks she couldn’t stay automatic but the law sucks
What's with the long barrel?
What kind of finish did you put?
I was expecting an institution on how you did the building. This was a waste of time.
It’s tok not tak t-O-karev
What website can I order the parts from
Sten parts.com and Indianapolis ordinance
