- My top anime 100 anime openings of all time.
No limit to the number of opening themes per anime.
Anime titles in red font means I have watched or am watching that anime. White means I have not seen it. This allows you to decide for yourself if my potential biases led to certain placements. Obviously in a top 100 it will be loaded red, but in later larger videos it will be less.
I rate all 100 opening themes here as 10/10s. Perhaps the back 20 can be classified as 9.75/10s.

This is my first top 100 anime openings of all time on this channel, and the first video ever for this channel. I had an anime rankings channel before, but that got struck down in April 2022 due to copyrights of some songs. BECAUSE of that, I am splitting the songs to avoid any/all problems. I know it impacts the viewing experience, but I would rather not start over again, it was heartbreaking. I had 350+ subscribers and many videos and they’re all gone because I wanted to have the music last longer than 7 seconds per song/clip. I tried to be careful with this one but when I first uploaded this there were still almost 60 copyright alerts, so I really had to cut through a lot of the songs. Every op here was originally given 20 seconds minimum, but that just ended up being impossible. At least I still managed to make this a long video despite splitting up the opening themes into multiple parts. Please enjoy it, it took so much time!
My taste in music is my own. Feel free to recommend music to me or have me reconsider your favorites but please do not enforce your own music preferences onto me, it is pointless. There are plenty of good songs here. I greatly enjoy your engagement, but let's keep it civil.
Since my first channel was removed, I was incredibly busy in real life and only recently got the time to revive this hobby. Over the last couple months, I slowly went through every single opening theme on the animethemes site. That was A LOT of songs. BUT, I’ve collected exactly 400 songs that I rate 8.75/10 or higher and hundreds more that are 8-8.5. Over the next few months, I’ll be releasing various anime openings and endings lists but the major ones will build up from this top 100 all the way to a top 600+ openings list. This will be a dedicated channel with a new video or two every week or two weeks.
Plan for upcoming major videos within the next 3-5 months is to work my way up to a top 400 anime openings of all time video. I will have smaller videos such as seasonal, or anime specific videos in between some very large projects.

I certainly will do an endings video eventually. They’re just so tough to make! So many emotional endings that I love, it would be 10x harder to rank than the openings. When I do, I’ll let you know haha.
The top is really very good. I liked that you wanted to chop up as many moments as possible, not the preps themselves, but the parts you like! But when I saw the 5 openning of steel alchemist at #1, I was shocked! I've never, ever seen it rank so high in the tops! Thanks!!!!

What I love about Gintama OP10 is how it seems like such serious opening, while actually being really funny once you know the context.

Lol! Yeah I think I may be the only channel that shows if I’ve seen the anime I’m ranking or not. Also Lilium used to be one of my favorite anime ops of all time, still is obviously but it used to be top 10. It’s just slowly gone down over the years.

Yeah it took a very long time to make. Cowboy is currently sitting in the 150-160 range so it will be included in the top 200 I’ll put out in early December. I used to have it in the 40s but it just slowly dropped overtime. It’s still one of my favorite series so it is a betrayal 😭. Thanks for commenting.

Great list! There were a lot of openings I haven't heard of before that were good, but I especially liked the black clover openings but did not see 『JUSTadICE』 which was my favorite but beggars can't be choosers.

Yo Just Awake is really good if one is into the type of music. Respectable though, i know this is a personal opinion so im not gonna dwell on that but for some constructive criticism, when saying a song is bad, either make it clear that it is bad in your opinion or look at the song from the perspective if someone who likes that type of music.

yeah still my favorite FMAB op...makes me so emotional..but I am sad to report that it is no longer my number 1 op. When i uploaded my top 250 ops of all time i took it down from 1st place.

Then y’all see op 5 in the 20s and think that’s gonna be the highest Gintama, but nope, #6 brings me forgiveness 😂😂. 3 is probably the song most heavily influenced by the fact I watched the anime. In my top 400 there will only be 30 opening themes from the 20th century. There are obviously some gems there but overall there’s far more songs in the 21st century and have more modern music. So I think this is fine

Thanks a bunch. I do love those ops. Spy x Family op 1, Komi op 1, and chainsaw man op 1 I give 8.75 to 9.25s out of 10 and so they’ll be somewhere in my top 2-300. I know that sounds bad but when you see these lists when I put them out they’re quite stacked. Just finished ranking 101-200 and Shippuden 6, Haikyuu 5, and Attack op 3 all be between 101-150. They all used to be high in my top 100 before my channel was taken down. Just not anymore. Thanks for the comment!

Itts funny because all 3 were in my 70s last year. These are finalized for the video but can always be changed later.

@@Evan-up8rp so yeah it’s a very long process and a tricky one. My old channel actually got removed back in April for this. Alright say I want to use attack on Titan opening 1. Let’s say I give it 30 seconds. No cuts no separations just a 30 second portion somewhere in the middle. That will without a doubt get a visual claim. Let’s say I used only 10 seconds. That will 90% of the time get an audio claim. Now this is where yt gets so dumb. Each songs claims are on default settings of what happens when a claim happens. Red and yellow claims and then green claims. Red means the video is blocked and cannot be seen. Yellow means blocked in some territories and countries. Green means no blocks and it’s viewable but cannot be monetized. Now let’s say I upload a top 100 openings. Each op gets 10 seconds straight. I will definitely get maybe 70 different claims. Let’s say I edit away the reds and yellows and just make those ops 5 seconds or muted. I can then publish the video. But there’s a catch. For whatever reason yt loves to change their settings all the time and claims that were green before will change to red and then you get a strike and 3 strikes leads to channel removal. And so I’m forced to either take that risk and let good portions of the songs play out and get claims that are green but can stab you in the back or do what I do now and create a video where each song is cut and separated into 2 or more segments of no more than 6 seconds each. This avoids all claims. Yt notices after 7 seconds. But it’s an incredibly long process of uploading to yt seeing what gets claimed and then editing again and again and again until 0 claims. And then finally done. No claims means safety of the channel but a very long process of putting out the videos. Sad thing is they can still watch your video and someone will manually claim. For example this video had 0 but around the 7th day whoever has rights to deadman wonderland op put a manual claim. For now it’s green but who knows, maybe they’ll change it and I won’t notice. I’ll have to mute that portion of the video soon. It’s such a long process all in all. So when my channel was removed in April, 2 of the strikes were from some of my oldest videos in which the claims for shield hero op 1 and 2 were changed and unfortunately I already had a prior strike like a day before for a paintball video I’d recorded (yet again yt just being dumb, paintball is a sport, not violence) and so I reached 3 strikes in just 48 hours when strikes don’t go away until after 90 days. And you can’t contest it until you have something like 1000s of subs and a verified account and so I woke up and my channel was gone. Huge L for me haha. So that’s why I’m playing it very safe this time, but it takes time and also makes a lot of good songs not as well delivered since I can only present 5-7 seconds of it at a time. And one more thing in case you ever make your own videos, EVEN IF it’s a private video, never once made public, has 0 views, it’s just as strikeable as a public video. So the drafts, delete them delete them delete them delete them, otherwise channel won’t last 2 months 😂.

Fire force 1 rises and fire force 2 falls. Domestic girlfriend rose a tiny bit. I honestly forget if bc 1 fell or rose. Evangelion, bc 12, and girls frontline fall a tiny but and lain stays the same. So made many changes for the next video. Everytime I look at my videos I want to change something 😂. But the video is ready I’ll just upload it in the weekend.
