Kinda similarly, I hadn't heard of Tower of God until I heard my fave group was doing the opening and ending :D I'm really enjoying it so far. KPOP is an underrated industry, I think. The artists put in a level of effort that would put most western artists to shame. Dancing and singing at the same time is harder than it looks! Lol
You should check Day6 especially their recent album. I'm same with you, I was never really into KPOP until ToG introduced skz to me. Then SKZ introduced Day6. I dont know if there will be more groups but seriously, Day6 songs are really good. Last week I went over and over all of SKZ songs and now Im doing the same with Day6.

Someone in the ToG production crew must've known about Stray Kids and their "concept" beforehand bc lyrics and concept wise TOP can easily fit in Stray Kids other MVs storyline about a group of "stray kids" going to the "top" together. Honestly I can't imagine any other group singing a theme for ToG bc Stray Kids music just freaking fits the series. It's basically like "Stray Kids" but make it to the Tower of God instead of conquering the Miroh's Jungle City or something.
Stray Kids/3RACHA made Top and Slump specifically for ToG, but you know them- they wouldn't make a song just to make a song, they put meaning into everything. ToG songs are no different! And I think the overall plan was to use this as an opportunity to really gain attention in the Japanese market since they just made their Japanese debut, and the songs would need to fit the group and ToG to accomplish that. I agree with your assessment- their concept and sound fits ToG perfectly!
Yeah the story of tog and skz are similar, I think the one who chose skz knows about the group well because his reason for choosing them was because they produce their own music blahblah so he definitely knew about skz as a team and their music.

There are three type of people: -The ones who came here because of Tower of God anime. -Stay who started watching Tower of God because Stray Kids made the Opening and Ending. -And there's us: Tower of God manhwa fans and already Stay.
Most likely came from TOG, I know I did and I don’t regret it. Stray kids are incredibly talented. To be able to sing and rap - very impressively might I add - in so many different languages is honestly insane.
I ALWAYS SEE PEOPLE SAYING THAT WHEN THEY READ A COMMENT THE SPECIFIC PART THAT WAS MENTIONED IN THE COMMENT JUST PASSED BY AS THEY READ IT AND IT NEVER HAPPENED TO ME BUT IT JUST DID DSVDJS WHY AM I EVEN EXCITED
Theory: I believe that everything with the parallel universes started in Yellowwood where in one world, SKZ went on the bus (lead by Hyunjin), but in the other they continued running (Hyunjin didn't agree). I mean, that concept of the album is about making decisions... the opening song is Road Not Taken, based on Robert Frost's poem about 2 roads after all. (Hyunjin has always had a different opinion from others) 1st universe (bus back into civilization/city): Then, Double Knot follows the SKZ that went on the bus back into a city, however Hyunjin got separated and lost from everyone else as they planned to escape the city and find their freedom. They then individually found their way to Levanter where they basically come to a realization (I feel the light, I feel the li-i-i-i-ight) that they have always been free, it was just their soul that was locked up by themselves... idk 2nd universe (one where they ran away): At the end of Side Effects MV, it is shown that Chan offers a hand to Hyunjin, and he probably decides that it is best to follow along. They find their way to Astronaut, where Hyunjin follows the sound from a separate Chan and gets lost. However, Jeongin is somehow able to travel from one parallel universe to another (cause Chan said in his vlive that he is the only one who knows about the parallel universes) and realizes that Hyunjin is lost as well, and wants to help him but can't. Astronaut is also about traveling to a separate place and the spinny thing that they play on has a cool effect at one point, making it seem like they are transported to a separate place, probably Tower of God where Top takes place. Hyunjin was somehow able to find his way here with everyone else and because he was left behind and never agreed with running away anyway, he decides to betray them by breaking the glass, etc. Meanwhile, Jeongin just watches, knowing exactly how to move on being able to time travel and travel from one parallel universe to another. But still, with determination, SKZ were able to get past the door and to the next level? (Ist that what TOG is about?) There are soo many loopholes with this, I honestly don't know what I'm trying to get to anymore Also, if you found stray kids from TOG, welcome... all of SKZ's mvs are somehow linked together, telling a story. Chan knows what it is and sometimes drops hints in his lives like he did today, but he refuses to tell us the whole thing. For those who are new, this is kinda the story from what I think: Anyway, from what I gathered (not 100% sure), the story starts in Hellavator (like that map they posted before Levanter) where they escape from basically Hell and run away. Then, in District 9, they are found in a utopia dystopia place where everyone does exactly the same thing. There was a glitch and SKZ were able to gather together and run away and be free. My Pace and the album I am Who basically show them running towards their goal and questioning their identity. The run to the rooftop in I am You, where they settle down for a while and seem happy, but they gaze off the rooftop towards the city (pretty sure it's MIROH) and want to go there. In Miroh, they are found in the city, but they are not free with all of the politicians. They feel like they are in a hell-like maze (miro is maze in Korean and the h stands for hell) They then go back into the elevator that they arrived in MIROH with and continue going down to Yellowwood where they arrive at a bus stop. According to Bang Chan’s Vlive, Chan said levanter and Top and closely related and that they’re in a parallel universe and that Jeongin is the only one that knows that there are multiple universe while the others are not aware. So I compared the two MV’S and saw something, in Levanter, Seungmin held a piece of paper that said “To new world, one way ticket”. So maybe TOP is the new world they’re in. Chan said look closely especially at 1:50, at this point, maybe everybody is lost mentally and confused with their surroundings and Jeongin looks at them and has this urge to tell them that there is no point of trying to go to many universes in order to find a true form of theirselves. Levanter has meanings that also connect to Top, Levanter is about losing something, whether a feeling, person or dream. So if you connect that to one of the English phrases in top, “Never let you go”, it’s like they say something positive about the universe and they are telling us that they found something on their way. So to sum this all up, this is the next step to Levanter.
Okay y'all theory time. Top is set before Double Knot as when they're running as the glass shatters (specifically 1:53) they get cuts on their facts which are shown in Double Knot. I.N is crying for some reason (getting left behind/not wanting to go/wanting to go? idk) I think Hyunjin is bad because he's the one that broke the glass; maybe he wanted to make them leave quickly to stop something from happening (like saving I.N?) I also think something happens to Chan because everyone is reaching out for each other/holding onto each other as they almost get pulled out but Chan is on his own and no one helps him so maybe he falls. Also, why is he breaking through the glass? No one else does so is he taking a different rout?

For everyone's own knowledge, Stray Kids did the opening and ending for Tower of God, an anime. The anime is based off a manhwa, a Korean webtoon (comic). I really hope there's more adaptations for manhwas. They're really good! And I'm happy that they chose to have Korean singers for the opening and ending. Stray Kids deserve it!

Theory:
I believe that everything with the parallel universes started in Yellowwood where in one world, SKZ went on the bus (lead by Hyunjin), but in the other they continued running (Hyunjin didn't agree). I mean, that concept of the album is about making decisions... the opening song is Road Not Taken, based on Robert Frost's poem about 2 roads after all. (Hyunjin has always had a different opinion from others)
1st universe (bus back into civilization/city):
Then, Double Knot follows the SKZ that went on the bus back into a city, however Hyunjin got separated and lost from everyone else as they planned to escape the city and find their freedom. They then individually found their way to Levanter where they basically come to a realization (I feel the light, I feel the li-i-i-i-ight) that they have always been free, it was just their soul that was locked up by themselves... idk
2nd universe (one where they ran away):
At the end of Side Effects MV, it is shown that Chan offers a hand to Hyunjin, and he probably decides that it is best to follow along. They find their way to Astronaut, where Hyunjin follows the sound from a separate Chan and gets lost. However, Jeongin is somehow able to travel from one parallel universe to another (cause Chan said in his vlive that he is the only one who knows about the parallel universes) and realizes that Hyunjin is lost as well, and wants to help him but can't. Astronaut is also about traveling to a separate place and the spinny thing that they play on has a cool effect at one point, making it seem like they are transported to a separate place, probably Tower of God where Top takes place. Hyunjin was somehow able to find his way here with everyone else and because he was left behind and never agreed with running away anyway, he decides to betray them by breaking the glass, etc. Meanwhile, Jeongin just watches, knowing exactly how to move on being able to time travel and travel from one parallel universe to another. But still, with determination, SKZ were able to get past the door and to the next level? (Ist that what TOG is about?)
There are soo many loopholes with this, I honestly don't know what I'm trying to get to anymore
Also, if you found stray kids from TOG, welcome... all of SKZ's mvs are somehow linked together, telling a story. Chan knows what it is and sometimes drops hints in his lives like he did today, but he refuses to tell us the whole thing.
For those who are new, this is kinda the story from what I think:
Anyway, from what I gathered (not 100% sure), the story starts in Hellavator (like that map they posted before Levanter) where they escape from basically Hell and run away. Then, in District 9, they are found in a utopia dystopia place where everyone does exactly the same thing. There was a glitch and SKZ were able to gather together and run away and be free. My Pace and the album I am Who basically show them running towards their goal and questioning their identity. The run to the rooftop in I am You, where they settle down for a while and seem happy, but they gaze off the rooftop towards the city (pretty sure it's MIROH) and want to go there. In Miroh, they are found in the city, but they are not free with all of the politicians. They feel like they are in a hell-like maze (miro is maze in Korean and the h stands for hell) They then go back into the elevator that they arrived in MIROH with and continue going down to Yellowwood where they arrive at a bus stop. And this is where I believe the parallel universes start.

According to Bang Chan’s Vlive, Chan said levanter and Top and closely related and that they’re in a parallel universe and that Jeongin is the only one that knows that there are multiple universe while the others are not aware. So I compared the two MV’S and saw something, in Levanter, Seungmin held a piece of paper that said “To new world, one way ticket”. So maybe TOP is the new world they’re in. Chan said look closely especially at 1:50, at this point, maybe everybody is lost mentally and confused with their surroundings and Jeongin looks at them and has this urge to tell them that there is no point of trying to go to many universes in order to find a true form of theirselves.
Levanter has meanings that also connect to Top, Levanter is about losing something, whether a feeling, person or dream. So if you connect that to one of the English phrases in top, “Never let you go”, it’s like they say something positive about the universe and they are telling us that they found something on their way. So to sum this all up, this is the next step to Levanter.

I.N is crying for some reason (getting left behind/not wanting to go/wanting to go? idk) I think Hyunjin is bad because he's the one that broke the glass; maybe he wanted to make them leave quickly to stop something from happening (like saving I.N?) I also think something happens to Chan because everyone is reaching out for each other/holding onto each other as they almost get pulled out but Chan is on his own and no one helps him so maybe he falls. Also, why is he breaking through the glass? No one else does so is he taking a different rout?

For everyone's own knowledge, Stray Kids did the opening and ending for Tower of God, an anime. The anime is based off a manhwa, a Korean webtoon (comic). I really hope there's more adaptations for manhwas. They're really good! And I'm happy that they chose to have Korean singers for the opening and ending. Stray Kids deserve it!
