At one point early in his career he was the whitesox closer throwing 100 mph fastballs. What is kind of crazy is the whitesox may have found his clone in Garrett crochet.
I played baseball for Wichita State & faced Chris Sale 3 times in 2010 when he started against us at home. I got so lucky my first AB & guessed correctly on an inside 2-seam fastball at 97 & squared up one of the hardest balls I'd ever hit over the 2nd baseman's head (he struck me out the next 2 times though with his slider). We scored 2 runs off him early & then he took over. There's no way to describe how unorthodox his pitching motion looks as a hitter. He looked like a tall bag of bones that was super herky-jerky but he was incredibly accurate & threw straight gas with lots of break.
It was the game 5 of the 2018 world series against the dodgers, Red Sox only needed 3 more outs to win the world series so they send their best pitcher, Chris Sale, and the rest of the bullpen obv knows he is the man, so they are sending the mamba mentality to him bc he is a stud, he got the 3 outs and the red sox won
I was looking for this. He should feel some type of way 100%. He was the closer. But it takes a real man and a real teammate to cheer on your guy regardless of the circumstance. Classy by Craig
@@jpopegames341 sale dominated in 2018, he was their second best player behind mookie and you could argue he was their best. Not having sale that year would have made it significantly harder for them to win it and tbh there's just no logical justification for wanting Moncada and kopech instead of him.
@@TheHatty806 Yes there is now granted Kopech hasnt proven himself just yet Moncada has been great and Sale was gonna leave for free agency anyway instead of sale walking for free you got two amazing players out of it
@@jpopegames341 just because sale was gonna walk doesn't mean he was coming to the sox. And kopeck has proven himself to be injury prone, plus wouldn't say Moncada has been great he's been above average at best. Rafael Devers has been much better offensively. Granted he is not the best defensively but he has shown improvement and his offensive game makes up for it IMO.
how were they in awe?
Look at him walking to the mound....damn cool...
It was one of my highlights of the game. Watching that moment live was awesome.
@@jeffcoveney1932 Looking at the ace going to the mound to end the season no matter what team he is in is...just awesome

Going out there in killer mode; such a badass 😎😎👊🏼
Epic and he’s back today!
Jesus - that was epic.
Oh my Jesus, have mercy on us.

I missed the part where they were in awe.
I don't even like the sox, but it isn't every day that the entire bullpen stands to applaud a pitcher leaving the pen.
I remember the look in his eyes, man was ready for war.
I don’t get it

I think that’s Professional Griefers playing.

I still rather have Yoan Moncada and Michael Kopech lol
you’d give up a WS ring for them? we already hav raffy and kopech durability is super sketchy
@@TheHatty806 lol you think having sale alone would win a ring? thats hilarious

Too bad his sign stealing lineup tainted his ring forever.
The Red Sox cheated like the Astros......just ask Pedroia
Yes they did
@@BrownBrown270 buddy no just take the loss like I did to the bruins, celtics and pats 7-9
What did Pedroia say?
@@dodgerred6462 that this guy is salty
Pedroia said nothing. The commissioner of the MLB said that there was "little to no evidence shown or any cheating practices occured." Case closed.
