A Sunmi reaction yesss!! I feel like not a lot of people know that Sunmi writes and produces most of her own stuff, and has a lot of say in her styling and concepts too. one thing about my girl is she'll act her face OFF lol Gashina, Siren, Heroine, Noir, Tail are memorable for that (+ cuz their all bops) but she truly delivers that character for whatever the song/concept she's in
Thank you for reacting to Sunmi!! It's hard to explain just how viral Gashina went when it was released; it was literally all. over. Korea. and got a ton of love from international fans too. Which is somewhat surprising for Korea as "gashina," while in reference to the thorns of a flower, is also a slang term for bitch; the gun choreo, just as (if not more) iconic as the song, reflects the unapologetic and powerful nature of that moniker. Sunmi writes and produces most of her own music. She has a very distinct style that is VERY different from Wonder Girls' discography, but I adore it. She has also been very open about her mental health disorder both in her music and in interviews; personally, I feel like it has informed her sound quite a bit (I mean, aside from the obvious a.k.a. her song Borderline) and her overall perspective as an artist. As a result, you never quite know what you're going to get and I love that.
Gashina was produced by Teddy Park (famous for being main producer for Blackpink). I think this is the first comeback for Sunmi after she left JYP Entertainment, so it was a "statement" song. I'm guessing that the relationship in this song is metaphorical, and it has more to do with leaving the company she grew up in as a member of Wonder Girls, and striking out on her own.

we LOVE a Sunmi react!!!! I believe she was just lead vocalist/lead dancer on the first years of Wonder Girls but for their rebrand and last formation, she was the main dancer (previously it was Hyuna then Sohee), visual and bassist

Please react to Wonder Girls! They're my OG kpop group. I recommend 'Tell me', 'So hot', 'Nobody', 'I Feel You', and 'why so lonely'. The first three are the more known songs from when the group was still young. The last two was after major member changes where they changed to a band style, played instruments and did more grown up music.
Sunmi is my favourite solo artist from Korea! The way she writes and produces her music, her distinct artistic style and the way she always pushes the limits as part of her style!
