Hi, great models! Did you skip the UV mapping part? Can you do this models without UV's? because when it's just a solid Color I think that would work, but when you put theses stamps on the Sheets for the bed, does that still work?
How did you smooth it when you had all the modeling done? Cause when you're in Maya the bed is more polygonal and when you go to the other program the mesh is more smooth.
I made a copy in Maya and beveled the edges and exportrd that as my high poly. In substance painter I baked the normal maps and other channels using that as my high poly and unto the low poly.
I have one question about your for-sell tutorial on Stylized materials and SP. It's said that it's step by step etc, however I'd like to know if it will force you to buy extras in order to follow it (and how long it is). I'm asking since I've been burned already lol.
You have to buy an extra 2 tutorials and then another 1 for the full experience, kidding. Are you talking about "how to make a stylized material" one? Its close to 20 mins. Only thing you need to make sure you have the correct version of Substance Painter(its in the description in gumroad) It shows how to make the stylized material I always use in my videos, nothing more nothing less.
This is a really great video! would you mind replying to tell me what kind of post-processing effects you used to render the final result? It looks beautiful when rendered.
Hi 3dEx ! what software did you use for the final animation when the bed was spinning around ? was it maya ? if yes , please do a tutorial , i never knew how to get a rendered animation in maya :(
can you please help me to get substance painter i try to download it many time but every time it stop work and canot lunch so can you advice me by site or any link to download substance painter
+Basma Adel just download it from their official website, if it doesn't work you will have to contact their customer support because that's beyond anything I can do.
just make a cube and rescale it to your desired plank size, then use duplicate special to multiply them along an axis, finally just translate each plank to the left or right a bit
Just used to it, don't really feel like the software is preventing me from making anything. I do plan to try out Blender, but only once their latest update is out of beta and released to the public.
Why use literally any piece of software vs literally any other piece of software. Personal preference, it's what you have access to, it's what you know how to use, availability of certain plugins or other tools, industry standards, and a host of other reasons.
You forgot to include unwrapping. That is a huge step and without it you wouldn't be able to do many things in substance. Next time document it better so you don't get people confused.
Because this is a speed model I just used automatic uvs for it; I don't include that because I also don't want to give people the impression that it's ok to just use automatic uvs.
This is not a tutorial it's a time laps speed model. But since he's using substance painter and not painting the UV bitmap by hand, he probably just used the flatten bitmap (auto unwrap) option, you only need to worry about unwrapping properly if the UV needs be clean and human readable.
1. Good job. I really like what you did here, but 2. I would never buy Maya and Substance Painter to achieve same results because 3. We have Blender for that so 4. This video actual for those who work at studio that owns those software, still 5. I would buy Maya and SP if I had to do more complex models like characters and other organic stuff for future animation Thanks for video. Added to favs.
I imported the model to substance painter, baked the maps and applied a smart material that I made(link to that in the description) and took it from there.

Hi, great models! Did you skip the UV mapping part? Can you do this models without UV's? because when it's just a solid Color I think that would work, but when you put theses stamps on the Sheets for the bed, does that still work?
You need to have UVs to texture models.
Very nice
Humans are such amazing creatures
I've always wondered how do you import all of the textures and stuff to the animation you're making?
Loved your end result.
Its done in marmoset toolbag, its as easy as just importing the textures in the correct slot of the material.

Substance Painter

Awesome!
Thank you!

From where do you colour the bed
Nice man
Do you use marmoset for the final render?
I did, yes.
I have one question about your for-sell tutorial on Stylized materials and SP. It's said that it's step by step etc, however I'd like to know if it will force you to buy extras in order to follow it (and how long it is). I'm asking since I've been burned already lol.

Perfect, thanks :D
This is a really great video! would you mind replying to tell me what kind of post-processing effects you used to render the final result? It looks beautiful when rendered.
Check out the video in my channel (skull potion full video) and at the end I show my settings for rendering in marmoset toolbag.
Thank you!
Nice! What do you use to render it out at the end? Any chance of a tutorial for how to get that look from a renderer? :-)
That's marmoset toolbag. I have a video "Skull potion full video" where at the end of the video I show my typical settings for rendering.
Ahh fantastic - thank you. Will check it out!
How did you do that part at 0:49 ?
it was just an extrude.

That's Marmoset Toolbag.

Hi, that's not maya that is Substance Painter, it's a different software for texturing your model.
can you please help me to get substance painter i try to download it many time but every time it stop work and canot lunch so can you advice me by site or any link to download substance painter
+Basma Adel just download it from their official website, if it doesn't work you will have to contact their customer support because that's beyond anything I can do.

He uses Substance Painter after he makes the model in Maya
tutorial modeling in 3d max pls :') gj bro
I can't reverse normals :(
Blender has made all amateur modelers believe that it's realtime shade an texture is impossible
dude, can you do a modelling tutorial for an anime female character?
What version of Photoshop are you using?
It's not a photoshop. It's Autodesk Maya
How do you get that floor under the bed
just make a cube and rescale it to your desired plank size, then use duplicate special to multiply them along an axis, finally just translate each plank to the left or right a bit
Why use maya? I'm just asking because I used to have it and then got blender and saw blender superior in every way.
EDIT: Great build by the way.
Just used to it, don't really feel like the software is preventing me from making anything. I do plan to try out Blender, but only once their latest update is out of beta and released to the public.
3dEx Oh well good luck with that! I just prefer blender because it has more features and things to do. The UI is pretty complicated though.
Why use literally any piece of software vs literally any other piece of software. Personal preference, it's what you have access to, it's what you know how to use, availability of certain plugins or other tools, industry standards, and a host of other reasons.
Remainds me to oceanhorn
Круто! сделай медлено
Постав скорость воспроизведения на 0.5 или на 0.25 ))
а какой програмой ты пользуешся в конце?
substance painter или marmoset toolbag
i like the model but i feel like bedpost low poly circle feel out place with how detail bed texture is.
Good point
nothing few edge loops could not fix but awesome job :)!

Super annoying music, from reading comments over the years on various videos about a variety of topics people always prefer no music.
the tutorial is too fast, so it's too complicated to imitate
This is not a tutorial

I imported the model to substance painter, baked the maps and applied a smart material that I made(link to that in the description) and took it from there.
I can't find the link in the description
3dex.net look in the download page
