after I turned off my VPCSA4c5e last night. It doesn't turn on any more. when I connect it to power grid and push the power botton its HDD starts to turn. no boot and turn on its power leds. but the battry charge well- what can I do ??

This no light, no turn on, no charge thing happened to my Linux VAIO i use for DV Firewire video. It happened completely out of nowhere.
I found out both of the MOSFETs are bad.

Thank you for this video to give an idea what to look out for. I have a Sony VAIO VGN-NW20EF laptop. The power jack had issues so I replaced it last December 2022 and all was well. I haven't used it since until today and it didn't turn on at all. Same symptoms.
I found out the CMOS RTC battery was flat so I disconnected it, but the laptop still doesn't get any power.
I'm getting voltage at the input and the MOSFETs are fine. I've checked the resistors nearby and they seem okay. At a glance, I can't see any bad ICs so I'm clueless on where to investigate next. Any suggestions please?

Strangely enough and by accident, I was rotating the charging cable and it started to charge, only in some specific position. Still not sure if it's the power jack or the charging cable. I'm hoping to try out another charging cable and get to the bottom of it.

My laptop is the same same sony same problem not turning on now I can’t do those things you did I throw my laptop and buy a new one I guess? I don’t have those burning equipments and I haven’t practiced 😂
