  • Kitbashing and converting your own miniatures for your army is one of my personal favourite parts of the hobby. Its a great way to make a miniature your own, to put your own stamp on it. It's unique to your army and it's so much fun to create and build and in this tutorial, that's exactly what we do. With the announcement of the new Coteaz miniature from Games Workshop, quite a few people weren't happy with the updated design so we thought it would be fun to take a look in our bitz box and see if we can create our own version of Inquisitor Coteaz and Cyber Eagle! We demonstrate plenty of modelling techniques here from using tubed plastic card to sculpting fur with green stuff. Plenty of cool tips and tricks for you to try.
    Cheers

Listen, I'm not saying that you should paint this conversion for a video instead of the new official Corteaz model when the new boxes drop, but I AM saying, god this kitbash is crazy-cool and I need to see it glistening gold.

@DuncanRhodesDRPA Sorry to bug you, but I have a genuine question. That AK Interactive paint stripper that you used for the eagles, is that compound safe for resin minis? If not, what would be a resin-safe paint stripper that you would suggest? Thank you for your time.

There's a good chance Duncan knows the people that worked on the new model, so if you're looking for him to flame on it, it wasn't gonna happen. This video is him tastefully saying he preferred the old style in the most constructive (pun intended) way possible.

I remember making my own Grey Knight terminators with Thunder Hammers since there wasn't a model with that option, out of two types of metal kits and it was a huge pain but I loved it.
