What happened to Fox's Arwing? Did he get Dagobah'd by Randorn? :D Though, when Krystal introduces herself "of the house Randorn, Regent of Sauria", does she mean that her family holds the regency or she personally is acting as regent? Slightly unclear in context, though I imagine the meeting with Randorn and Tricky will clear that up quickly. Either way, great introduction scene showing both of them as capable and setting up their personalities quite well. I hope that there's a scene or at least dialogue implying that they're teaching each other how to use different rides. It's a nice practical touch that can help build the likely relationship, IMO.
Considering the context in the original game. My guess is that she's likely acting as a leader(thus, Regent) while the Prince is too young to truly be a leader himself.
I'll try to summarize a lot of backstory in as short a way as possible. Cerinia had a bunch of planets under their thumbs and Sauria was one of them. Each of their worlds had a house (or family) assigned as a regent, Randorn's was Sauria. Seeing as Cerinia's been gone for awhile Sauria's fallen apart and all the tribes have formed their own monarchies with Randorn trying to hold everything together.

Good work. The part about the "regent of Sauria" is interesting. How can you pretend to be a ruler without people to govern...? Unless, plot twist, there are many cerinian living in isolation on Sauria. Or maybe Krystal is trying to hold to what she know/is considering the Cerinian disappearance. brain in overload = good story approaching. Just excellent work.
@@codemancz798 Yeah I know that, a little while after my comment, IceCreamMan clear some aspects of that point in another thread. This is one of the things that I think would've made Adventures a better game - Fox and Krystal fighting the sharpclaws *together,* and with *their own respective weapons.* Rather than Fox doing all the work, with *her* weapon, while she spends most of the game incapacitated.
It's a shame Nintendo will never give us Star Fox cutscenes like this. I don't know why they're afraid to give the characters time to talk and develop personalities and relationships. Are they worried we'll get bored by an actually engaging story?
And the simple fact that Miyamoto himself (and most of Nintendo) hates making anything-more-than-simple stories. Heck, they hate them so much, Miyamoto almost removed Rosalina's Storybook from Mario Galaxy!
*Loving this!* It's absolutely wonderful to hear Ms. Ellis come back after so long, as her voice is as lovely as ever. One question/worry though: Why are Fox and Krystal's eyes a little bloodshot? Tbh, it's distracting and, in a way, kinda disturbing. If you could, please fix that. Other than that, I'm very excited for what's on the way!
there is so much right about this. if i had to point out one small thing to change, its Fox's teeth with his lips open and a blank gaze at the start looks wrong - Everything else, the sharp claw laughing, The fight scenes, visuals and sound design, and Krystal's more tasteful outfit - the new interactions - it works very well - and its pretty cool that fox finally uses a gun , it sets him apart from krystal and her use of magic which is looking really cool
@@devonm042690 "This mission is about saving the planet, not blowing it up!" was the dumbest excuse for not being allowed to carry weaponry onto the world, I mean seriously a planet full of hostile dinosaurs and other bizarre entities and you just expect your hired merc to survive long enough to get stuff done without weapons.
This video makes me wish for a Star Fox Adventures remake, from top to bottom, implementing the scrapped ideas from Dinosaur Planet and preferably with this guy at the helm handling the script and cutscenes.
I like this a lot better than how they met in the original. Also like what you did with Krystal's outfit. I always felt her original look was too showy (and yes, saying that as a straight guy, for the record), and the other looks somehow didn't seem true to her roots, but you've hit a pretty good middle ground here. Also, loving the Star Wars vibes.
Hey as long as you don't turn Fox into an edgelord with a false understanding of PTSD like some people try to write him, i'll say you're doing a pretty good work here. And aramisdagaz9 hit the nail right on the head.
This project has come quite a long way. From the barely-visible dialogue and crude bosses of the first iteration, to more faithful incarnations of the worlds and battles of the present version, to a mostly-talking cutscene between Fox and Andross...to THIS. While I would have preferred Krystal's dress to be a more silver-white material, similar in hue to her original garments (though I approve of the more practical coverage), her demeanor and badassery are a more welcome change compared to her original role in Star Fox Adventures. If anything, she makes me think of Kida from Atlantis: the Lost Empire, and that woman was pure awesome. The way she wielded the power of her staff is proof that if anything, Fox was merely able to tap into a fraction of its potential. Also..."head of the house McCloud?" Is Fox descended from a noble family, now? I always figured he was a military kid, taking after his old man before they both went freelance. P.S. The Sharpclaw clearly graduated from the same marksmanship academy as the Empire's stormtroopers, I see. XD
The 'head of house McCloud' thing is probably the result of a cultural gap. It seems a fair assumption that Krystal's people follow some customs we would consider archaic, or even tribal. Krystal said her father was summoning 'a mighty warrior', so it would make sense for her to speak of him as if he was part of a warrior caste. The warriors would be the protectors, and would be a lineage such cultures had a strong interest in promoting the growth and maintenance of, part of which is keeping track of who's in it. Not unlike the roots of noble families of old, who are granted titles and land and such from their sovereign as rewards for notable services rendered for the dominion.
Ah, hello fellow "atlantis the lost empire" fan! yep, Kida was awesome. Makes me want General Scales to act like Rourke, in other words, a total jerk. Also, like I said in that other comment, the Sharpclaw bikers remind me greatly of the Smokers from "waterworld" especially early in the film, and yes they were terrible shots, presumably they were still learning to handle the recoil of the new weapons andross had given them.
@@monitorlizardkid8253 Given the setting, I'd expect Scales to act more like a Conan villain or something. Now, Colonel Shears? HE'S the one most likely to take the role of Rourke, seeking to exploit any hidden treasure on Sauria for a profit while turning the planet into his own personal fiefdom, with Scales as his proxy. As for whether Shears is the ultimate man behind the man for Shears, or if Andross will be making a comeback in this version of events...that remains to be seen!

Dude, this cutscene rocks! A solid 5 minutes of awesome sauce!
You know you did something right when you have viewers almost think this is a future game release or something that people missed but wanted to happen so badly they wish it was real
Well i will be saying this. OH MY GOODNESS BY THE KRAZOA'S this is extremely amazingly well made. The Cutscene was amazing, the Action, intense and dynamic. And the Voice Actors, they are super amazing and perfect, and it is indeed a Legendary meeting, How they met. You really outdone yourself, and also Estelle Ellis and KyleRhysMarsh they really did amazing with there Voice Acting is really mighty, it fits so perfectly. And this is likely when the Speed Biker Campaign begins. I do look forward to what happens next. Though all we can do, is wait and see.
This is awesome!! I feel like if this was the direction Star Fox Adventures originally took, maybe the game wouldn't have turned out to be so polarizing.
It wasn't polarizing, actually, it only retroactively became that around 2011 or so.
I wouldn't say that polarization was the issue, the issue was Miyamoto sticking his nose where it didn't belong and forcing Star Fox into a game that should have been its own thing.
@@shadekerensky3691 To be fair, Dinosaur Planet was slated to come out near the end of the N64's lifespan, and development wouldn't have finished in time.
@@h0m3st4r actually, the game was mostly finished and ready to go by the time the decision to force Star Fox into the mix was made. I suppose it is irrelevant now seeing as we now have access to the Dinosaur Planet game and we can see what was meant to be, its such a surreal experience, for over 20 years it sat in a vault, but finally it sees the light of day.
Awesome job! Love it!
Cant wait till we get to the Assault Timeline
if we do then the I can't wait to se what the aperoids look like
also I might have spelled that wrong
What happened to Fox's Arwing? Did he get Dagobah'd by Randorn? :D
Though, when Krystal introduces herself "of the house Randorn, Regent of Sauria", does she mean that her family holds the regency or she personally is acting as regent?
I do not trust this Randorn
@@moodyowlproductions4287 How much do you wanna bet he's secretly Andross in disguise, and he's gonna pull a last minute plot twist revealing that the true Randorn is dead.
After watching a more recent video, an emp forced Fox to crash land on the planet.
I was NOT expecting to see the GrubTub fungi lmao
I freaken love the story its so good already and it's still the beginning holy crap
Adventures was one of my favorite star fox games and it never got the justice till now❤
That was actually stupendously done! Great work 🎉
These dinos make stormtroopers look like sharpshooters.
Of course they're missing, they got no depth perception.
"Only Imperial stormtroopers are so precise."
The tributes to SF Adventures (my childhood game) in this video are insane!
This is masterfully done! The animation is so smooth throughout the entire video, the facial expressions really shine through and the banter between Fox and Krystal feels so natural, much more than in Starfox Adventures. Also always a pleasure to hear Estelle as Krystal, looking forward to seeing more of this in the future!
This is so a Magnificent Fan made Scene.
Yo, I love that used a bunch of the sound effects from Adventures! Also, this is such a good animation and the voice acting is great as always!
I love this, the voices are fantastic and visuals are amazing. I wish you guys the best for this project.
Love the added humor 4:06.
Loved this.^^ And as Aramis said, love how the spark isn't immediate, but at the same time, glad there's still hints of it as well.
This looks so good!
Loved every second of it.
Krystals expressions at the end were cute. >
OH MY GOD ITS HERE!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Ok for real though, this was fantastic! Awesome, awesome, awesome job Neph, Estelle, Kyle, and everyone else involved!
Edit: The Adventures-esque sound effects are a great touch :)
I hope we eventually get some ground levels where we can run around as characters like in adventures and assault
Its a nice thought but i think the Freespace 2 engine is already being pushed to its limit and maybe even beyond given that it designed for space combat in a 3d environment
Closest we'll get is riding Tricky or a Hoverbike, the engine is already pushed pretty far.
Wow!! that was awesome!!! Also, for some reason, the Sharpclaw bikers remind me very much of the jet ski-riding Smokers from the Movie "waterworld". For those of you who don't know, "waterworld' is actually a pretty fun movie, it's "mad max" on jet skis. how can that not be awesome?
I watched a lot of Mad Max when making Sharpclaw stuff so that all adds up.
@@UndyingNephalim Oh! well hello there. I'm not sure if this would be considered rude, but, did you like my concept for a "deep sea nightmare fuel" level on aquas, and for an "artillery crawler" boss battle? I posted it in the "Community tab of your channel. I would be thrilled if you use it, but I understand if you don't.
This is how the game should have started … this is amazing !!! Love how you got Estelle on board too 💓
A masterpiece :3. Well done. Can't wait till this game is finished. Would love to play it someday :3 .
Estelle Ellis's voice is gorgeous. I liked it when I was a teen, and now as an adult.
Beautiful job with everything!
Regent doesn't really mean ruler, it's someone who takes care of estates while the proper ruler is indisposed or not of age.
@@codemancz798 Yeah I know that, a little while after my comment, IceCreamMan clear some aspects of that point in another thread. He said :
"I'll try to summarize a lot of backstory in as short a way as possible. Cerinia had a bunch of planets under their thumbs and Sauria was one of them. Each of their worlds had a house (or family) assigned as a regent, Randorn's was Sauria. So the regency part is about overseeing Sauria, maybe somekind of spatial protectorate.
Bikers from Sauria. 😄
I liked the choice of clothing for Krystal that is very reminiscent of her original model in the proposed original game.
I've always had a special place in my heart for Starfox Adventures, and this direction of the story actually is much better than how Rare did it 20 years ago 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Amazing job to the creators and voice actors!! 👍🏻👍🏻
Maybe an "actual" duel between Fox and General Scales.
This is super well done and sounds and looked very in character from what I understand.
I really like the interaction between the 2! I'm glad that a couple voice actors came back just for this game!
Star Fox Adventures was one of my first Game Cube games and one of the first games I 100. It has its problems, no doubt due to the last-minute change to add Star Fox, but it holds a special place in my heart and had a fun world. I loved the attention to detail from the environment, the GrubTubs, the noises, and the effects. This was a nostalgia trip for me.
@IceCreamMan
If you ever do one with Marcus, I'd imagine this scene you did would be a Great Story to tell their son on how they met. LOL
But seriously this was very well put together. as was everything you did with the Star Fox: Event Horizon

Fox’s Mind: Not again… Peppy’s gonna kill me…
Absolutely lovely job on this. Love this meeting much more than Adventures for sure. Its a little rough around the edges but still, excellentvwork
More I see of this the more I like it
Never really was able to get into Star Fox as a kid, but as an adult I'm pretty excited to see how good Event Horizon will end up being! Keep up the good work everyone!
Yeah it will probably get shut down by Nintendo before it ever get made in full... enjoy it while it lasts
@@moodyowlproductions4287 Maybe. Depends on how much traction Event Horizion gets outside of the niche audience. I'd also say something about Nintendo not giving an eff about the property so it might not even matter... but this IS Nintendo we're talking about here.
@@AlexanderTheAverage10 Lets also remember AM2R, the fan remake of Metroid 2, Nintendo didn't do anything until the game was fully released then they told its dev to shut it down. So it may be that they are aware of the project and are willing to let it be completed and gain some traction before they shut it down.
@@trevargrisham35 Oof. I did NOT know about that, but I'm not surprised given their reputation. Eugh... I see the likely outcome, but I'm still holding onto that glimmer of hope that this one slides under the radar.
@@AlexanderTheAverage10 AM2R was made by one guy and took nearly a decade to finish before releasing back in 2016, SF-Event Horizon started development back in 2014, and now it is 2023. My best guess is that Nintendo will look the other way until the project is finished, they'll let the project gain some publicity after release, and then they will file a CnD order to the dev team. But by that point it won't matter, what goes on the internet stays on the Internet whether Nintendo likes it or not.
Istg this feels more like a movie than a game and it's so hype
Cool. Very impressive video. 🙂😊👍
Thank you ! I loved this Game .
My desire to play this grows with each update I watch.
4:34 I'd recognize that epic NFL Films music anywhere 😄
This is the Star Fox game I want!
They're scared of angering the overly obsessed Star Fox 64 fanboys who won't accept anything but remake after remake of that game.
@@ElFreakinCid That and they have no idea what to really do with the franchise, which is something that can be applied to a lot of their franchises.
@@ElFreakinCidAnd the fact that they're too scared is exactly why Starfox Zero failed.
And the simple fact that Miyamoto himself (and most of Nintendo) hates making anything-more-than-simple stories. Heck, they hate them so much, Miyamoto almost removed Rosalina's Storybook from Mario Galaxy!
Very impressive! I almost thought there wasn't gonna be any talking but I was wrong😂
This is how you modernized star fox good work 👍
*Loving this!* It's absolutely wonderful to hear Ms.
Eyes get bloodshot if you're in a particularly stressful environment.
@@codemancz798 especially if you just lost an expensive Ar-wing,
This is very cool! ^^ Looking like Stargate Atlantis))
there is so much right about this. if i had to point out one small thing to change, its Fox's teeth with his lips open and a blank gaze at the start looks wrong -
Everything else, the sharp claw laughing, The fight scenes, visuals and sound design, and Krystal's more tasteful outfit - the new interactions - it works very well - and its pretty cool that fox finally uses a gun , it sets him apart from krystal and her use of magic which is looking really cool
Since this isn't a mission from General Pepper, but rather a situation Fox has suddenly found himself in, Pepper isn't calling the shots.
@@trevargrisham35agreed sometimes I think that was a bad excuse
@@benjaminheavysteel Pepper literally told Fox to go into a planet scaled version of Jurassic Park with no weapons and said "deal with it".
This is more great than the official one. Good job 👏. Keep it up.
I love the voice acting and animation
Love how Krystal is using a combination of her original design and final design for this!
This is how Starfox Adventures should have turned out. Not the mess that we got instead.
This version of fox and krystal reminds me of starlord and gamora
This is amazing!
GOOD GOD THIS IS AMAZING
Hey as long as you don't turn Fox into an edgelord with a false understanding of PTSD like some people try to write him, i'll say you're doing a pretty good work here. And aramisdagaz9 hit the nail right on the head.
Oh yeah. That comic. So far, Fox seems alright here.
Fox sounds like mid 2000's Sonic the Hedgehog.
You're too slow, Sharpclaw!
Makes me wish I still had adventures!
@@devonm042690 Hmmm...huh. Oh, yeah, Krystal making such assumptions WOULD make more sense, wouldn't it?
@@LonePhantom756 You make good points, At least I hope Andross makes a comeback for one last go...

Well that's one way to great each other. I can't wait to see the reaction on Randorn's face when he meets James's son and not James himself.
