I remember holding my audio cassette recorder´s microphone over an hour to the TV speakers in order to record the whole live set of Ken Ishii on VIVA tv Germany

i first listened on spotify and saw the year 2008 for this track listed, and thought "this can't be 2008 this sounds way to new", then looked at the vinyl on discogs and found out it was 1995. so ahead of the time!
The short but sweet change of melody from 3 minutes 53 through to 3 minutes 58 seconds is one of the best little things I've ever heard in techno, so fucking good
This comment made me realize that techno as a concept is just a canvas, a canvas into which people empty their souls to create something unique. Thanks
It's not so much that this still sounds modern but the fact that music has not moved forward, and instead is repeating the past or de-evolving into syrup to sell things to children with.
back in 1995 i was impressed by two thing Anime Manga and Techno music, i know this guy because of Koji Morimoto clip, at the same period i was an hardcore fan of Techno Music, like Prodigy or Chemical Brother and came this guy in the middle of nowere with crazy fucking music video, that was more insane than Otomo Akira movie, i was mind blow.
I know Ishkur said in his guide, that JTek means Japanese Techno, but originally it really meant (and in many books still does mean) Jungle Techno, so... but whatever, let's just enjoy this brilliant track without the usual RUclips Genre Wars.

J-Tech never gets old, Ishii's early works still sounds gold even today. One of my mainstays in the list for sure!
J-tech?

So astonishing ouahhh...
Never thought someone will ask
Can’t believe this masterpiece is almost 30 years old 😮

Wow. I never noticed it. And I bought this CD back in the 90s.
Even though this came out in the 90's, it still sounds modern like it came out this year.

Man I miss the 90's! So much optimism and such great music
exactly what i miss about the decade too, especially that "nothing can stop us, nothing can touch us" attitude.
this song never gets old
this is one my first dj's i listen to back to 1998!!!
yes,but i'm younger!thats why
+David Mander well late ! i was into yo ass in the very early 80's.
i don't think so!!!
OM wow so hip i ws into techno Way back in the renesainse when napoleon was still telling me what to do.
as a Producer i really dig this (after 20 years) the pan Settings are from another world
this is the first , and best, JTec i've heard. Ken Ishii is LEGIT.
Fuckin' goosebumps every time I listen...an epic techno trip from an epic producer!
It's a magical thing that any identity can turns techno into a complete different universe.

The biggining of the tune is out of space, whole track is amazing
most people would cite this as a Techno classic... though I appreciate that there have been many flavours of Techno
Absolutely *nothing* hits like that kick.
This is a timeless piece of music.
This has an Armored Core vibe to it. I like it.
Lol sorta does doesn't it :)
Greetings from the Exile, from Belgium with love
Wow more than 20 years ago! Simply techno classic.
unbelievable... thats its been 2 decades... 5-6 to go... and then nirvana...
wtf Nirvana has to do with this, this is techno music, not hard rock of 80's lmao
This is just awesome !!! back to some feelings lost in time ... life is strange
OLD SCHOOL TECHNO!!! LOVE IT
Going on my Last.FM from 4 years ago and remembering about this song.

What a great tune!
I remember bieng young and seeing this on.mtv's amp.i used to tape every show.
...Love this track...have it on a compilation disc and have been rockin' it in my car for years.
Ken Ishii and Susumu Yukota rip, Japan's techno legends ❤

The first 40 seconds are just fucking amazing, wow, wow, wow, wow.
Hell yeah
This is what I call TECHNO!
Ce côté Manga musical que j'adore...
This song would make a nice AMV for anime like Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Genocyber, etc.
Grandioser Track, fast schon etwas psychodelisch angehaucht. Das Video in jedem Fall :-)
noice! I don't really get down with video games, but this is a song that could get me started.

I actually prefer the video edit... it introduces each aspect in much more interesting ways, imo.
chillout track of choice

But this sounds like it'd fit Brainiac from Superman TAS.
