Lovely upload as allways! i do give an option on this 2019 Mix. its a bit getting used too it. for my feeling i think either the 12'' maxi single or the orignal 1st German DDM pressing sound a bit better for as for my option!
I have the German DMM too and love it! This 2019 mix is sounding really good though! With some nice depth to it. I'm pretty tempted to do the needledrop myself now haha.
@@Livewire91 This is a different mix, therefore it can't be compared with the 1984 LP SQ-wise. IMO this mix lets you hear music that was 'buried' in the original one. On the other hand, I kinda prefer the solidity of the 1984 album. In other words, the sense of resolution, spatiality and detail is higher in the new mix, but it lacks body and punch. IMHO 🙂 BTW, I own the Spanish 1st press, the UK 1st press (both DMM), the MOV edition (meh) and this 35th Anniversary Box Set.
@@hifispongebob Not comparing, because different mix. Just got inspired by your video to make my own needledrop of the track: Pipeline. The new mix sounds very nice! You have a lot of different versions of the album. I only have the original UK & Europe DMM and the complete CD box set version (meh) The complete CD box has the worst masterings on some of the albums, but not too bad. I Wish the new upcoming vinyl box would be cheaper, then i would have bought it.
