Great video and if you are wondering there are light rail systems that were built in the 1800-1920s Indian United States and Canada these are Boston San Francisco Pittsburgh and Philadelphia Pennsylvania Newark ,NJ Toronto, ON. If you are wondering the Boston greenline is actually a modernized Streetcar US UK Tram Germany Austria & Switzerland Straßenbahn. Therefore light rail actually originated as streetcars then Modernized to Light Rail. However there is an exception to light rail is that you can have them board as stairs then convert to level boarding as seen in the San Francisco system J N L M K & T trains Which uses a heavy rail standard Tunnel

Light rail are not only street levels, but underground and elevated, like Seattle soundtransit light rail.

I live in Baltimore and we have a light rail line that has distant stops in the suburbs, like a commuter rail, but then runs along the streets at grade, like a street car. I assume it’s a low quality, poorly designed light rail, but sadly, that’s typically what I think of when I think “light rail.”
The DC Metrorail Red Line sucks as it passes through Rockville, as it runs alongside the MARC Brunswick Line, requiring four tracks along the ROW, two with third rails for the Red Line, and two non-electrified rails for the MARC Line that runs on gas.

It's not low quality, but definitely poorly designed, providing protected ROW to the light rail system would increase protection and efficiency on the system as a whole, but the streets that system runs on are barely wide enough for it. In the end, it comes down to the traffic congestions.

If it was about MBTA, the Blue Line ( Airport to Wonderland) should have been talked about.😾
