Thanks for sharing your tech hunting Brian (or Bryan), always bargains to be had in Bangkok, you know your schitt so no wool pulling over you. The people are just the best there, some not so but most are amazing. Pantip and the IT section of MBK, soo many copied phones for genuine prices. The people, the food and the tech, Thailand rocks
Hope you had a pretty good time here. New PC components are usually a bit more expensive in the shops. I prefer to shop online where I can save with discount coupons.
There’s no shops like that at all near where I live in Yorkshire in the UK. I enjoy these videos, mixing a bit of travel with tech makes for interesting videos.
10:27 that motherboard is Mini-DTX, not mini-ITX. However, since DTX never really caught on, the boards are sold as Micro-ATX units, in a similar fashion to Flex-ATX motherboards being sold as Micro.
How do you keep that tech safe in your luggage? And does the airport security say something to you? I have a friend that travels frequently to USA and Im planning to buy a motherboard. Is that safe?
Yeah as long as its all packaged well, I had a card die in the past from being loose in the suit case... never again, they don't pull you over, even if they did you can just say they are what they are some parts you bought second hand. or new they don't care too much.
I guess that if they are new they will charge me customs. Should he bring it on the box? I guess he could damage the box a little bit to make it pass like a used mobo
Brian, love your video's, I have been watching them for a while now, but I can't recall ever seeing one where you mention what it is you do for a real job.
Melkiah34 hi! Now he live by RUclips, selling pc that he makes and mining. When he lived in Japan he got main work, after him returning to Australia he went self employment.
Super great to randomly meet you at Pantip Plaza when you came to a shop I was having some work done on a computer at the same time! I have subbed you for a while but didn't realize you r a famous computer tv star until i just now noticed how huge an active your followers! Hope you get a chance to check out Fortune Town near Lak Si train station. and if you get bored, perhaps the top floor of Imperial World near Bearing BTS too. If the latter has what you need I would be very surprised if they didnt work hard to give you a good deal.
It would be cutting it close although I think he could get away with it. Even benchmarking I doubt that system would pull more than 400w. I usually overkill when I buy psus like 600-850w but I have a friend who runs a 4790k and gtx 970 off of a evga 430w without any problems.
Brian, please do a video comparing a bunch of different fans when you have the time. Preferably rgb ones, such as which one has best static pressure, airflow, low noise etc. Would really be a big help thanks.
Used PC Part in Thailand, most of them are dirt cheap, the merchants repressed buy-in price to much. But Internet seller sell them even cheaper.Especially when compare to some items that have ridiculous price tag on ebay. However the low-rank items, as you found out, sometime not that cheap. And High-end used items are rather difficult to obtained.
Just love your videos Bryan :P... By the way Switzerland is a good place for pc parts hunting too. Because Swiss tend to change their stuff very often. Good for me! ^^
We have a Shop in here (Estonia) that opens at 4pm and is open until 9pm. Reason?, well, its a hobby shop for a guy that builds Electronic Cars/planes/trones (Rasberry based etc)
Bryan I love these types of videos, we get to see a real life Bogan in a foreign environment (or is it your hunting grounds?) !! hahaha also at 1:45 I can see my boy Buddha in the background! where did you take that shot, the one right before you start filming in different shops???
Maybe a video about VRM quality? I get the idea that more is better but beyond that I have no clue. Everyone uses different MOSFETs and capacitors and I have no clue if one capacitor from brand "A" is significantly better then brand "B" where less would still result in better performance.
I liked you ideas to bought used parts and enjoy smooth working and also saved hard money. Thanks @Tech yes city! I have machine using asus h61m-k mobo with i3 3220 and 8 GB xm3 1600oc ram. If replace CPU to i5 3450 can boost noticeable performance of my PC
While I think it's terrible that shops go out of business, it's got to be pretty hard to keep a shop running when there are like 5 or 6 shops in a small area selling the same things. Anyway, it still sucks to have to close down your business.
Dude, dont carry the goods with you, you can ship them from the post office directly to your place and it won't cost you much ive dont it in the past, it does take about a month but totally worth it. i shipped about 30KG for 2200 baht i think.
@Tech YES City i just got a gtx 760 2 gb for only 15 dollars, guy said it gave him error 46 all the time but it still runned on vga graphics (1600x1200). turns out the guy tried to install custom bios firmware but the card became too instable becuz of it and he couldnt change custom firmware with gigabyte easyboost. i changed bios with a custom nvflash with presigned drivers and reinstalled the original bios, it worked like a charm, just played pubg ans rust 1080p 60fps and couldnt be happier...... sweet deal right and i didnt have to go full bogan on the guy
Aero T.m well i wouldnt do it, if you dont feel confident, or if you cant miss the money.... this was my first time flashing a gpu bios, but i was confident the videocard still worked becuz it still put out a signal, no stripes, and he said the fans still work, which meant it wasnt anything hardware related, it was software related and once you flash the bios and update nvidia drivers, it should work... still took me 2 hours too do.... lots of instability on the old bios xd
Are there those huge plazas with only Tech Stores? I need to go there I have the feeling there are more shops with used parts in one of those Plazas than in my entire country. Because I have never seen one here. I know they exist somewhere (probably in bigger cities) because some of those stores were buying my used stuff on ebay before. I've to get my stuff from private people on the equivalent of craigslist but it's slow to get good stuff in my area because first there is not a lot and second most of them don't know what their stuff is worth and are asking way to much and I really really suck at haggling like big time so I don't even bother.
Any good deals on used working 1366 mobo and some ecc ram to go with it? I have a w3670 in a bad motherboard I would like to put to use. Keep in min I will be building a gaming rig with it. So p6 deluxe??
sir please make video about how to choose old pc hardware and which are good for money for people who dont fully understand the model no like a guide for used pc parts
1000 Baht is about 30 USD (26 Eur) 1500 Baht is about 46 USD (40 Eur) You should visit the financial district, it has a similar mall with 3 floors filled with computer related things including used parts. Prices however are a mixed bunch though, you might get lucky for some parts but be less successful at other places. I was looking for a internet dongle but they refused to get and lower in prices (brand new with plastic un-opened). "Poo" is actually a valid Thai name.
H81 or H87 capable of OC? Think Intel Ark has it listed as non oc, but I swear I've seen you OC on them! I have a 2500k I wanna transplant and give to my mother for a micro atx build. Cheers and love your content!
Actually Living in Thailand for the past 13 years, store employees don't like to sell. They rather play with their mobile phones and wait till the day ends. Its really sad and only started happening in the last 5 years. One of the bad things of low or no commission on sales. Thailand's second hand market doesn't have good deals. End up buying new from USA when i go back every few years.
As a Thai, I can say second hand PC parts are stupidly expensive.Even if they are sold online.About the store employees, most employees are actually not good in PC either, they just work for their earning.
Yeah true, It's kinda rare to find anyone with good knowledge in PCs at Thailand, (From my own experience living in Thailand since 2007 till 2016. And yes I can speak Thai flawlessly.) Me being a store helper at Rayong since i was just 14, Even tho I do that as a hobby (No money or something, just going to help them).

Hi Bryan! You can get all 12 PCI-E slots to work on BTC motherboard only on Linux, on Windows you limited to 8 video cards. Hope you make video about using this motherboard)
Come to Malaysia , specifically Low Yat Plaza , ITS PACKED EVERYDAY!!!
When fate takes me there man, I will be hustling the shit outta the place.
And I will be your tour guide 😆
I was there, the prices where not super great. :)
Nothing special about low yat imo. Place to buy new parts mainly
delatroy agreed. low yat is great but its not a place for used parts.
That was an awesome video! Great that you can the boards tested on the spot, and looks like this is really necessary :D
5:29 Used price performance parts :) I am loving it
most wanted contestant for scrapyard wars = tech yes city
This channel is excellent because it shows me how to hustle for the best deals!
Glad to see someone hunting something different in Thailand for a change
10:03 those ladies "Look, another white person"
There was a time when talking to yourself meant you were a crazy person.
Astfgl except when you're doing it in front of a camera
lmao😂😂😂
lalao :P
Cougar alert !
picked up 2 I5s and an I7 3770 at the dumpster. They work.

I saw an Asrock mobo with that same form factor and I really thought at first that it is a mini-itx board.
Check out the lady bois, really good scene there.
How do you keep that tech safe in your luggage? And does the airport security say something to you? I have a friend that travels frequently to USA and Im planning to buy a motherboard.

Lucky you @@techyescity Indian airports have far strict rules
Nice haul Bryan. Glad to see you were getting the deals man. Have fun at the Galax event.

Urgent question, is a 2 year old EVGA 500B good enough to power a Ryzen 5 1600 and ZOTAC GTX 1080 AMP?
Nope... Get a better psu... Never cheap out on psu
It would be cutting it close although I think he could get away with it. Even benchmarking I doubt that system would pull more than 400w. I usually overkill when I buy psus like 600-850w but I have a friend who runs a 4790k and gtx 970 off of a evga 430w without any problems.
I am not gonna be overclocking while I am on it
Better be safe than regret
Should be fine if the PSU wasn't running for 500W 24/7 in the last 2 years.
If you ever go to the Philippines, be sure to drop by at Gilmore Center for PC Parts Hunting!
i love this pc hunting segment. i always looking forward for this.
super hyped for the vid, love the parts hunt in random countries
Brian, please do a video comparing a bunch of different fans when you have the time. Preferably rgb ones, such as which one has best static pressure, airflow, low noise etc. Would really be a big help thanks.

The shipping in THAILAND is surprisingly amazing. Ordered a GPU from Bangkok and it arrived the 2 days later to koh Samui.

@@TENSHI死の can't remember. I think it was one of the main stores in the computer mall in bangkok.

Michiel Roskam yep gtx 760 running pubg at 60 fps totally believable

I guess my favorite deal was that mining motherboard, because my classmates are so into mining right now :)
even brand new shops are good as i bought a 1060 (back when they were costing $430 AUD) and ripped of almost $70 AUD down to $360 AUD
if you come to Malaysia , i highly recommended 'Low Yat Plaza'...... i tell you man, its very packed with people everyday
I just bought a super micro dual socket 1366 for my Xeon X5687s. Will be here Friday Wish me Luck lol
I can't imagine not having a Thanksgiving. Anyways, I'm gonna eat tomorrow like there's no day after tomorrow! Happy Thanksgiving🍗
This is the last video I'm downloading. I'm trying to sleep, Brian. It's 1 am over here, dang it.
Poo Computer Services, clearly a better business & better bargain.
Bryan sold Poo Computer Services short, should give them an extra shout-out.
WHats the deal with overclocking these H81 motherboards??? I know its an H series but apparently you can overclock with some bios update?
Nice to know that you are into mining full time.
Just so long as you get the best deals on electricity.
Hey guys I had a great time in Thailand will definitely upload some vids
How I miss your Hunt Deals Videos :D
Good deals and those are some nice lights.
When you come to Malaysia? Can't wait; )
Notebook RAM is not RGB lit most times because you wouldn't see it anyway. That's why it's so dimm.
This is unexpected. Thanks Brian.
I bought that same LED light for my dad 3 years ago...

Good stuff Brian you had quite a good bargain😊😊
do you need to pay customs, after coming back to Australia?
Looks like you didn't face any issues regarding filming in the Shopping Malls unlike Japan where I live now.
People in Japan really care about their privacy whereas in Thailand they're more carefree
Nice deals !! Is it an good choice to buy an 4 th gen intel and motherboard or must i wait for an bargain with an 8 gen intel.
Where would u say is the best places to buy a 1080ti in bangkok??
$60!!??? For a 4th-5th gen motherboard, in New Zealand it is mostly $150
Great fun, I wish I was there! I would love to bargain hunting with Brian! #NEWBUCKETLIST!!!
Hey Tech YES City, I thought as a bargain deal hunter you'd like to hear this story of how I got an X58 motherboard combo for $20. Recently I started volunteering at my local FreeGeek (they're an America-based computer store and recycling center, not sure if you've heard of them). They have a program where if you volunteer at their place doing recycling and building computers/refurbishing them for 24 hours. you can spend $75 worth of credit at their store. In their store, they had a Gigabyte EX58-UD5, i7-950, 6gb of OCZ gold ram, and intel stock cooler combo for $95. But since I had my credit, I got it for a whopping total of $20.
Oh damn man that's awesome, x58 boards are always a pleasure to pick up :)
Can you get such deals on gpus? I really want to upgrade from my r9 270 but mining craze has made the rx 480 as pricey as a prebuilt desktop
I've been to Poo Computers before .. didn't buy anything .. all the stock looked a bit shitty ..
In Finland I picked i7-4790k+ Z97 Board with 16Gbs CL10 HyperX Fury 1886mhz for 200 euros, seems very good indeed :)
that ATI Rage in the background
Hi Bryan! You can get all 12 PCI-E slots to work on BTC motherboard only on Linux, on Windows you limited to 8 video cards. Hope you make video about using this motherboard)
I COMMENTED ON YOUR INSTAGRAM PHOTO ASKING IF YOU WERE GOING TO UPLOAD THIS!!
