Lol ya this, plus the -er thing at the end sounds like a southern guy trying out a Boston accent. I guess American accents aren’t that easy since we have a bunch of different styles
Love the attempt, but that sounded more like a Canadian trying to be a Texan lol. For the future record, I don't think I've ever heard anyone in America, at least where I live, say "ad ver tis mint" most of us say "ad ver ties mint"
Hey dude :p. quick question. I bought a dead gtx 780 for 20 usd. I have already replaced the thermal paste and flashed the bios. lights and fan turn on but no signal. Any suggestions. Thanks man.
I'm actually rather offended... That's not how Americans sound, and it makes us sound like unintelligent idiots, and while some of us are, not all of us are, I understand he wants it to sound butchered but it is very offensive..... If he can make it sound like we are atleast a little intelligent then sure it wouldn't be offensive but this is just awful, you can butcher our accent very easily without making us sound like complete idiots. Anyways huge fan of his channel, and have been watching for a while now.
I can't get over how you tried to do southern American accent and the way you said advertisement I mean you weren't even close to the accent but at least you tried keep up the good deal hunting
Driving down with windows open and listening to good music, my kind of thing! I love this series aswell, keep it up bryan, best tech guy on all youtube, lovely personality, everything on point, very genuine who not only talks about super high end new tech but also takes care of the worthy old stuff!
I just did my own part hunting last weekend... Drove all over Louisiana and Mississippi to get them :) your channel is what got me into it. Love hunting for deals.
Good episode, but that "accent" won't fool an American! Some of it was kinda funny. You did try though, and you could get it, but the slang and some pronunciations were way out of place or off. Are we going to see a 780 Ti comparison video? Great catch on that 1050 Ti!
Power Man is another name used by In Win for their older PSUs. That case was also made by In Win so it makes sense. They're pretty reliable, or cheapo old units.
True, and a great Australian accent (like Brian's) or an "upper crust" British accent will get you far in the States. Hell, speaking grammatically correct English will go a long way!
Judging by the TÜV Süd badge on the Powerman PSU, I'd say it should at least not blow up. that's a german quality control company that ensures the safety of pretty much everything (our cars for example)
From the beginning of the vid, I kinda knew most of the calls wouldn't be picked up as it is that time of the year that most people are under the crunch of end of year work, projects or are already on the road to their holiday destinations. Food for thought for any new year's deal hunting Bryan.
Dude I love this channel. I might not be interested in the subject, all the time, but u make it seem interesting. I feel like u interact with ur audience in a nice method dude, please don't ever stop making these videos. Oh, and btw. The windows 10 optimization guide ROCKS!
Hey Bud. I live in Ormeau, QLD. I'd love to see you turn up at my door when selling used parts. I'd give you an awesome feed too. Anyways man, great video. I smashed that like button for you.
Concerning powerman PSUs, I received one when I bought my Inwin 301 case (it was included in the case). It is a 450w bronze PSU, black cables, looks great, but the fan is super noisy. I did as you would do, grab that soldering iron and change the crappy fan for a cheap be quiet! one bought for cheap on amazon. Dirt cheap, dead silent and works great !
I would love to swap out my 1060 six gig with a Navi. Hopefully they will be good with a descent price. The AMD team looks like they are getting their act together.
Nice job! Bryan, can you do a video on how you advertise the systems for sale after, and about what to value at. Thanks God Bless! Btw can't wait to see some stuff with your new thermal cam!
Come spend a few weeks in Dallas-Fort Worth. I promise you'll pick up the Texas 'twang'. Or a couple of weeks in Georgia or the Carolinas and get the Southern Boy accent down. You do a pretty good southern US accent. As a native of the South that worked hard to drop the southern accent, I find you can mess with the most heads by dropping any clear regional accent. Surprising how many people want to find out where you're from. Had a Boston cabbie ask what part of Britain I was from and was floored I was from the South. So accents can be fun!
Please do more parts hunt with this accent! Lol As an American, I think it sounds really funny, like it sounds mostly like a northern accent, and then some random words sound like you've heard them from someone with a thick southern accent so it really clashes in my head, and then some words like "advertisement" you use the accent but still say it with the say emphasis an Aussie would. But that's coming from someone who is an American. I think to an Aussie that doesn't know any Americans, your accent would probably be pretty convincing some you've got the gist of it.
Hey Man I Love the Content, been a subscriber for about 3 months or so now. I don't comment all that often but I just had to comment on this video because of 2 things. 1) Your American Accent was kind of bad. I mean with a little training it was almost there, the problem is you kept drifting back to your normal accent, then it was like you remembered you were supposed to be doing American, and you switched back. So practice that, but also, something incredibly important. I don't think ANY ONE here in the states says Ad-Verse-ment like you Aussies Do. Its more like Ad-Ver-Tise-Ment. You got to get that right if you want to be believed. Google Advertisement American Accent and you'll hear the difference. Get that right, and give it a little practice, and you would definitely be like a Midwesterner with roots from the south. 2) Your Voice Should Be Mono, so it definitely should be mixed in a separate track, which I am sure you do, but a lot of programs like to make it a stereo signal without actually running a stereo calculation, which would create that phase issue. Also sometimes due to Mess ups in the Bouncing (or Rendering) process, a shift can happen. This is Easily Fixable, if you ever have any audio issues, I know I am just some random guy on the internet, but feel free to get my attention by commenting on one of my stupid videos from a few years ago, I would be happy to help you out. I am a Professional Audio Engineer and would be glad to help you because I enjoy your content. You Aussies make the best Videos, you and Steve at Hardware Unboxed are 2 of my Favorite Tech Tubers! Have a good one Man!
Well you certainly do a pretty good job. I am the one who got all Anal on Steve at Hardware unboxed for constantly hitting his hand on the table and having it vibrate into his mic, it would sound like someone was banging on the side of my house because of my sub, lol. I was nice about it though, and now Steve mounted his Mic to the ceiling, which was an ingenious and creative solution to the problem, and now it sounds awesome! I have never noticed an audio issue in your content, and because its what I do, I am QUICK to hear them. I often wont say anything, because who likes an asshole trying to tell you how to do your job, so I just shut up unless I feel I can say it in a way that isn't rude and only if it bothers me that much. But yeah if you do ever need pointers, I am a walking encyclopedia of Pro Tools, Mic placement, and Editing and Mixing Tips, And I am always up on youtube relaxing during the night hours for me, so like around now, so even commenting here would get my attention because of the notification. I would be glad to help, if you ever felt you needed some audio advice. If not, its all good, keep doing you man! Love the Videos! Keep the bad ass content coming!!! (And Make sure you get advertisement right next time, lol!)
That case actually is InWin C583 and come with PowerMan power supply. Man i miss that case i use do alot build for my customers with that case back in 2006 quite old school i can't believe that PSU still last untill now.
The accent is kind of a weird mix of mostly Texas with a smattering of New York and Boston, but it's not terrible. Apparently it worked for you! Nice haul, even today in early 2019!
I bought a Xeon 5640 on Ebay for $5.70 USD and am looking for a X58 motherboard for it now. Looking forward to collecting all of the part to finally build it. You're vids are awesome!
Good luck buddy. You can usually find part bundles with X58 boards pretty cheap too. Like I got a W3690, that same X58 board, 24GB Corsair vengeance RAM and a CM V8 cooler for 250 GBP all in. Individually that'd easy be almost 400 GBP.
Yeah love bundles too. You've got to be careful with these older boards though - some video cards will have corrupt POST screens but work otherwise completely fine and this is basically always because the BIOS' on X58 boards are like at least 6 years old and compatibility isn't great with the weird graphics boards can have. Be sure to run maintenance on these older boards too, like check if you need to replace the CMOS battery, not just use the clear button.
legit crazy the deals you get i always looking for deals and they always overprice everything and will not go lower. My friend was getting a good deal for a 780ti but that guy sold him a dead card tho
13:05 What I think of your botched-up American accent? Absolutely hilarious, thank you so much for brightening up my day. Keep up these awesome videos! See ya
I see a lot of folks mentioning the advertisement pronunciation, but I also hear A LOT of "No worries", there is a wikipedia page for that phrase, and it starts with "The phrase has been referred to as the national motto of Australia" So yeah, you're definitely giving yourself away a bit with that one.
That GTX 1050Ti for 80usd, what a great deal. But here you can find that card for 215.50 aud used. I wish that i could go there to hunt for deals especially on used gpu.
Great accent brain, been looking forward to this months parts hunt wish I could pick up a 1050ti that cheap here in the UK ! I'm actually looking for a 7870 cheap instead how safe are the 2 molex to 6 pin adapter's ?
Awesome video man really enjoyed this one (like always). I thought the accent was great, I loved how you switched it up from the bogan accent, although that one was great as well anyway awesome content keep it up :)
Haha I've picked up 2 bargain graphics cards on Gumtree now both on GC coming down everytime from Brissie, nice deal on that GTX1050Ti; A couple of years ago I paid $90 on an Asus DirectCUI TOP GTX680 and early this year I picked up a 3 month old Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 1060 6GB for $250.
add+ver+tyze+ment if you can pronounce it that way next time...
^This!
yea lol other then that it was perfect.
He was adding r’s to the end of things too, like are-er instead of area
Lol ya this, plus the -er thing at the end sounds like a southern guy trying out a Boston accent. I guess American accents aren’t that easy since we have a bunch of different styles
Ppl in the US don’t say ‘no worries’, either. That sounds British or something to me
U.S. accent I r8 3.5/4
Science Studio hey man, nice channel. Hope you have a good day
Thats better thn my us accent and im from the us
I r8 8/8 m8
In America, you pronounce 'advertaizment'
James Lee ad-ver-tize-mint is what I typically hear and say myself
yea thats not how we say it here (at least in CA). We say it here the same as James and CHiZZRAFF
Yeah the way advertisement was so wrong it hurt but the deals you got wow and love the videos
Mistakes were made lol... or perhaps new meta?
a southern accent from america would be funny
Love the attempt, but that sounded more like a Canadian trying to be a Texan lol. For the future record, I don't think I've ever heard anyone in America, at least where I live, say "ad ver tis mint" most of us say "ad ver ties mint"
same here in CA
Yeah "add-VERR-tiz-ment" instead of "ADD-verr-ties-ment" is a dead giveaway.
I was waiting for him to somehow end up saying "al-loom-INN-ee-um."
Dan Middleton Here in Georgia we alternate between those two. Like daeta vs daata
Also because Americans don't add Rs to end of random words like Arear.
Genuinely the best video series ever
Wow great accent. The word "Dude" sounded off but besides that great. Good job on those deals bro.
Hey dude :p. quick question. I bought a dead gtx 780 for 20 usd. I have already replaced the thermal paste and flashed the bios. lights and fan turn on but no signal. Any suggestions. Thanks man.
Also Ad ver TIES ment
Haha nice new accent
Was that Woody Allen?
Jarrod'sTech 3/5

Great accent, though it sounds more like Canadian
Next time try slavic accent xD
As a real life American I have to say you sound creepy AF lol holy snikes : P
I can't get over how you tried to do southern American accent and the way you said advertisement I mean you weren't even close to the accent but at least you tried keep up the good deal hunting
He the best lol ikr advertisement was funny
I think his original voice was more American
Driving down with windows open and listening to good music, my kind of thing! One of the best videos ever.
Normally I don't comment but I have to so you keep up this content 😁
Great video. But the old accent will always have a place in my heart.
True, and a great Australian accent (like Brian's) or an "upper crust" British accent will get you far in the States. Hell, speaking grammatically correct English will go a long way!
Great videos i really enjoy watching this kind of videos from you.
What a cute pussy. :)
Red Phoenix thanks i guess.
Judging by the TÜV Süd badge on the Powerman PSU, I'd say it should at least not blow up. that's a german quality control company that ensures the safety of pretty much everything (our cars for example)
You are proof of being a good RUclipsr without fancy editing software
From the beginning of the vid, I kinda knew most of the calls wouldn't be picked up as it is that time of the year that most people are under the crunch of end of year work, projects or are already on the road to their holiday destinations.
Food for thought for any new year's deal hunting Bryan.

Oh, and btw. The windows 10 optimization guide ROCKS!
Probably the only time I'm glad without mixed feelings to hear the words, "it's that time of the month again."
WHAT!!!!! Your American accent was SOLID. Love these videos, Bryan! Great job as always
I love how you've added the subtitles to this video. Awesome work man!
My favorite kind of videos from your channel!
This just makes me wanna start buying and selling again!
Are you ever going to come visit the USA? If you do come parts hunt in Nashville, TN see what you can do!
I've got that same Flir camera, it's pretty sweet and you got an awesome deal on it!
I don't know about American, but your Canadian accent is pretty good lol.
The HOF really rocks! Beatiful card! The used market in AU is really massive. In Italy is difficult to get those pieces at that price!
“Dad, a guy’s selling a pair of jousting sticks”
“How much does he want for them?”
“$450”
“For Jousting sticks? Tell ‘em he’s dreaming”
the cunninghams what?
OccyFN its a quote from the castle and australian movie
Haha. The castle
Wow, people in AUS are so cool when you offer them lower prices. Where I live you can buy a 970 for about 350 AUD
Hey Bud. I live in Ormeau, QLD. I'd love to see you turn up at my door when selling used parts. I'd give you an awesome feed too. Anyways man, great video.
I smashed that like button for you.
Sold that same 780Ti windforce for $100 US a few months back, made a happy customer!
I love how the different accent also required a different face.
Just picked up an i7 2600 with a motherboard, 8gb of ram and a decent cooler for £80. Thanks for the inspiration!
I'm really looking forward to you using that 780ti really soon.
One of my favorite part of the channel. Keep it up!!!
You sound like a Canadian and Kentuckian mixed together in a science experiment gone wrong. Love it!
Hey Bryan - The New Place is Really Starting To Look Sharp!!
I would love to swap out my 1060 six gig with a Navi. Hopefully they will be good with a descent price. The AMD team looks like they are getting their act together.
daymn , these videos never gets old!!
Nice job! Bryan, can you do a video on how you advertise the systems for sale after, and about what to value at. Thanks God Bless! Btw can't wait to see some stuff with your new thermal cam!
Always looking forward to "that time of the month" :)

Love these videos. Bargain hunting videos are my favorites on this channel
Americans pronounce advertisement as AD-VER-TIZE-MENT.
Ahah I love you Brian but how is driving with the windows down with the music on a hobby haha
As an American, it is among the funniest things to listen to non-Americans do their best American accent.
Nice deals! Nice Canadian accent lol. Sounded like a toned down Dimitri from Hardware Canucks lol
Please do more parts hunt with this accent! Lol

By The way, let me know if you are coming to Vegas for CES, I will be there representing my firm.
That and don't say "gamtre," it's "gum tree" in 'merican.
That case actually is InWin C583 and come with PowerMan power supply. Man i miss that case i use do alot build for my customers with that case back in 2006 quite old school i can't believe that PSU still last untill now.

Love the part hunts. Learned how to bargain better by watching this series :P
When reselling PC´s do you put those parts in description or just write something like 100Fps at high in PUGB?
I can see the direction your beard is headed in and I just want to say it's not too late to change course
Bryan, the accent is spot on dude! lol Nice one!
I got a limited edition DigtalStorm HAF 932 case it was the 9.992 PC built by them

Murican Brian sounds very convincing. Also, dude! I hate you, that Galaxy HOF looks amazing.
feels good to be Early on a tech yes city video
The accent is kind of a weird mix of mostly Texas with a smattering of New York and Boston, but it's not terrible. Apparently it worked for you! Nice haul, even today in early 2019!
Your American accent was way better than my Aussie accent. Enjoy your videos.
the new accent is really effective
I bought a Xeon 5640 on Ebay for $5.70 USD and am looking for a X58 motherboard for it now. Looking forward to collecting all of the part to finally build it. You're vids are awesome!
Check ebay auctions, I got an X58A-UD3R for about 100 GBP that way
Thank you! I am looking for one on Ebay now.
Bundles are good. I try to bundle whenever I can.
In the US we would say, "I found your ad vert ize ment on gam tray"
Awesome job on the American accent even speaking normal, too. Keep up the good work!
Nice effort on the accent Bryan.
legit crazy the deals you get i always looking for deals and they always overprice everything and will not go lower. My friend was getting a good deal for a 780ti but that guy sold him a dead card tho
Love this video series mate! Always good fun!
13:05 What I think of your botched-up American accent? Absolutely hilarious, thank you so much for brightening up my day. Keep up these awesome videos! See ya

the best tech youtuber. period.
i dont know why but i love these videos. Great Job Dude.
You should do a parts hunt where you have the dadman do all the phone calls.
Will you hunt for Dory while your at it ? DOOORRRRYYY !!!
Linus, get this guy for the next season of scrapyard wars asap
That GTX 1050Ti for 80usd, what a great deal. But here you can find that card for 215.50 aud used. I wish that i could go there to hunt for deals especially on used gpu.
