Excellent - Dodge 1500 must be a rare car now? ... built in Brazil I believe. I saw a Plymouth Cricket on the road in the UK just one time in the early 1980s.

hi! not so rare. I'm in Argentina :) here in my city are pretty common still yet. 1500 gained durability reputation. many cars even in poor shape still runs for some workers. plus the simple mechanic and easy access, make it easily serviceable. mine is not in so good shape but im slowly trying to fixit :). here where sold in 1500cc and 1800cc and built from early 70' up to late 80 even bein sold early 90'

Wow - that's good to hear. Production of Avenger / Sunbeam ended here in 1981 with the closure of the Scottish Talbot factory (with Talbot Alpine and Solara production following in 1985). Very few Chryslers / Talbots left on the road here in the U.K.... I never see any. Funny to think many still about across the world :)

yes. here we have (or had) tendency to make cars endure. another example is the ford falcon. produced betwen late 60' up to early 90' almost unchaged. (some updates on the visual side and engine was updated even using a 4l from the taunus)

abut the avenger. take a look in new zealand there is many still surviving. my inspiration to buy mine came from a blue avenger on a nz forum ;) seems to be that in nz also many survived

I've owned two in my time and absolutely agree with Tiff. Such a fun car and so easy to look after. Mine were both mint and uprated and trouble free. Thanks for reminding an old lad of those awsome days. Such a wolf in sheeps clothing; that the Lotus Sunbeam not me. 😅
