Guthrie Trapp Видеоклипы
I love Jack's humility to ask questions...dude is a monster player but is not about stroking his own ego but learning and growing...beautiful example for all of us
That may have been the best twenty three minutes and twenty four seconds on the internet. Period. SO thankful for you guys. So thankful!!! 🙏🙏🙏
Absolutely!
I am so grateful to you guys ❤️ you have no idea how much you impact not just my playing but in trying to carry myself as a man!! Got my Sunday organized now,sit down with my notebook and guitar and go over this video till it clicks!! Peace, love, joy and happiness to both your families ❤️❤️❤️
We are so lucky to have this scene of generous guitarists in Nashville right now. These cats, Uncle Larry, Etc…
So much knowledge being shared with guitarists all around the world. It does wonders for my playing and my mental well being.
Thank you!
100% agree. Thanks Guthrie and Jack.
Are you kidding me, two of my favorite players on the planet sitting around and shooting the s@&t about how they look at the guitar….and music. Pinch me, I think I died and went to guitar heaven.😊
I don’t get more excited than I am seeing this pop up in my notifications
There cannot be a lot about guitar playing these guys don't know, what a special little treat, thanks a lot.
So great to watch you two just hunt around and find cool stuff in real time!
What a generous offering. Thank you, both. And thank you for keeping it real. And useful! 🙏
This is the kind of content that makes youtube great, just kicking back and doing a hang with two of the best guitar players alive. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and skill guys.
Wow. Thank you both so much.
Strawberries and cream these guys are just brilliant 🤩
Buk just made the a slimlar comment...that playing one finger double stops is key to his playing style. Very informative and helpful!
"It's all about making mistakes until you find something that works." Professor Ruch gives new hope to those of us trying to move away from strict scales to chord friendly notes via trial and error...Huzzah!
Jack is such a smooth player,Guthrie's an awesome player too
Both give a masterclass in melodic playing in an interesting way , very inspirational .
Telecasting much greatness in one room
This conversation helps me to go beyond a scale theory book. Real stuffs. Thanks guys.
Two of my favorite RUclips guitarists! Can't wait to check this out. Thanks guys!!
Danny Gatton using those chords are the chords of Clair De Lune from Debussy. Mr Gatton was top level ...G...
Two of my favorite Zen Masters on the guitar. Please do this more frequently 🙏😃❤
The guys are such deep givers. I come from the 70's when guitar players were reluctant to show skills and turning their back on stage. It's a real treat to see polished skilled players let it all out . Thanks a bunch guys . I study your clips a lot .
Thank you both.
The keys to the kingdom.
Sometimes those harmony lines take me back to "Rainy Night in Georgia"...so good. Danny Gatton was such a big influence on so many, and probably never realized it - doesn't sound like he was ever happy with the biz side so kept his head under the hood of a hot rod much of the time. Thanks Guthrie - you've really got a natural knack for teaching that most players don't have.
I really enjoy listening to these guys talk about music. They have totally different ways of approaching and understanding music, but they meet in the same beautiful place. Thank you for sharing.
Two of my favorites! Such a treat.
2 of my favourite players together! ❤❤❤
Guthrie, please lesson to Joe Satriani tune "Faceless". Maybe it will change your mind about this minor 6 you dont like 😊.
Love you both ! ❤️❤️❤️🎸👍
GT unknowingly playing Ozzy Mama I’m coming Home made my day
Robben Ford likes to focus on the "flavor notes" vs those full chords with a 5th and another octave root. Leaves space to "fill it up" (Joe Pass-ism) as you change to the V chord or wherever....
Damn this is so much fun. Could listen to you guys doing this for hours.
These 2 have helped me grow my guitar playing more than any other teachers ive ever had. Thanks guys, yalls lessons are priceless!!
To be continued what!!! Lol
Please break some chickin pickin down like this. Awesome video guys
Lots of nugs in there to chew on. Lookin forward to the other parts fellas!
well now, that was just a shit-ton of fun right there. thx!
Two of my favorites 🤙
Jack Ruch is fantastic! As you, Good Sir Guthrie. What a combination!
Holy musical greatness
Very cool session… Jack asks great questions and adds theory…
This short vid will take me weeks to unpack. You guys are the best online. Absolutly mind blowing. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge!
17:49 -- fantastic advice. Playing for the song, and not for the guitar. -- After all, playing great music with the guitar always sounds better than playing great guitar during a song. Love the collaboration video with you and Jack Ruch. He asked great questions, and you had great answers. Looking forward to the next collaboration video.
Thanks Guthrie. Much respect...
Those Telecasters look great , ice cream for Crow
Question and answer!! Man I couldn’t watch it live. Disappointed I missed this one
I love both of these guys .. but Guthrie is the man. I especially appreciate his promoting CAGED
Jack is great, been keeping an eye on him for a while. Cool 😎 beans!
What a talented pair....great musicians and great human beings.❤
Two great guitarist and great teachers
Can't wait for Part II. I like that these guitar masters are reinforcing that we listen to and developing our "ear" and experiment until it sounds right.
Hello Guthrie, hello Jack oh, and thank you so much for the excellent and heartfelt presentation that you gave to us, gave me all sorts of ideas and understandings that I had not yet thought about
Love these guys- so honest. Jack says he learns from his mistakes and Guthrie hates typical riffs that lack taste.
I knew Dan he was a cool cat he would fit in with todays Nashville for sure, made many trips to Maryland I knew Dan as more of a car buff (old ) .Thanks for giving him a shout out.
Thanks Guthrie... Just stumbled across your channel. Better late than never. Benn playin since 71'. But not long enough to stop soaking up good vibes. Cheers brother. Good stuff...
Just an amazing chat and lesson - so much to unpack and practice! Can’t get enough of this stuff! Hillbilly Gospel gold!
The only two people I've ever taken a guitar lesson from are on the same screen at the same time. You guys are providing me hours of valuable effort trying to digest the contents of just this one video. It's like having two world class players in your living room. I was told long ago that getting good on guitar has a lot to do with "the company you keep". Thanks!
Dig on Zombie Guitar too. He is amazing. Brian is his name.
Such an amazing amount of quality content. And so much stuff that can inspire the creation of songs rather than just isolated guitar licks.
You guys are so generous with your knowledge and experience.
Dig the heck out of Jack R, what a great player he is.
Dropping serious knowledge here. Brilliant
You guys are some of the best out there! Thanks for taking the time to share your insights with all of us!
very informative thanks
Two awesome super awesome players. R and b brother.gosspel. Ricky d always
What I find is that trying to put each note in my vocabulary to develop muscle memory, I practice the fingering of each note in The chord scale. But then to be able to leave out the sixth using muscle memory 🤯.
Awesome thanks guys!!!
My mind is blown! I’ve been looking for a channel like this for ages, with cats who can really play, talk about the nuts and bolts of the harmony and progressions they’re using. I love the way you guys talk about the ear. I feel vindicated by the last thing you said at the very end of the video. Sometimes the V chord needs to be looked at as the I cord and vice versa! Anyway, you cats have your harmony down so well that you could hang with Charlie Parker. And that’s the way music should be. Subscribed!
Amazing video! I can’t wait to see part II 😊 Thanks so much
I love me some Jack.
Quality sit down - looking forward to the next one. Always appreciated!
This was a fantastic lesson and I really enjoyed hanging with you boy Z. Two of my favorites 💯🎸👏
This was fantastic!
Thanks, y'all!
Big fans of both your channels along with Corey C. Would love to see all three of you guys play together.
You guys are just SO inspirational, and generous with your time and talent! Love It, Love It, Love It! 👍🎸✌️😎
This was a treat- two masters at play. Great stuff.
Cheers!
Great ideas for practice this morning 😀
Fantastic!
Mercy, that’s some good stuff! Thank you! Looking forward to pt 2!
Amazing ❤❤
You are a nimble guitarist. Not just your fingers or your timing or your touch. But your mind is sharp. Thinking through the note choice and the chord changes and constantly anticipating and reacting… fast on your feet is mental nimbleness. I’m jealous.
Wow, great lesson
Love it guys, so cool. Thank you.
This is great. Thank you guys!
Fantastic. Thank you.
This is just a joy to watch
What a treat, great hang, and insight.
Legends!!!
Thank you for more amazing content! Can't wait to see Part 2!!
this is gold👍 two of the best
Excellent session!
Killer lesson GT and Jack!! Amazing stuff here. Much appreciated!
"So cool" would be an understatement, these 2 dudes are priceless, what skill, honed from hours of listening to what they're doing, developing it into craft and then having the decency and humility to post on Y/T and share it.
TY, and best regards from NZ down in the South Pacific.
This was so good!!! Pls continue and do more!!!🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️
Getting to it!!
Great stuff! Cheers Guthrie and Jack!!
18:30 🔥🔥🔥🔥
such a beautiful video thanks for continually sharing your knowledge and inspiration @Guthrie Trapp and Jack Ruch
That riff that you guys play in the beginning sounds like Blue Sky from the ABB. ❤
Over my head but sounds awesome. Makes me want to get a tele and a Princeton.
Over my head also
This stuff right here is so inspirational and interesting guys. This is the stuff if you’re in a rut.. this gets ya out. Thank you fellas. ❤
Haven't even watched this video but I know it's going to be magical. So many right things played by y'all. All the right things. 💯💫
Love that guy.. he ain’t no Guthrie but I like him..😅 great video guys!!
I'm hearing hints of a Scotty Anderson sound there,
Noooooooooo to be continued…. This was amazing. You make such a great pair. I love both your channels. I’ve learnt so much over the last few years down to you. The conversation is so rich and full of content. It’s magic that happens when people join forces. Thank you. ❤
The biggest challenge is curating the content into playlists 🥴 Guthrie’s 5 minor video and Jack’s upper extension video are perfect follow-ups here!!!
